He shrugged a little bit. "I thought I might go and walk around the city. It's been a while since I've done so. Might be nice." In reality, he was just going to do something to occupy his time. Little did he know that his time would be occupied by a Human that had arrived on the world recently. Still, this day was designated for her to spend time with her soon to be sister-in-law. That and she was going to find her wedding dress. He knew it was important for her to take this day seriously. He brushed his hand over the back of her head and then leaned to kiss it. "Go on then. Navella will be waiting, I'm sure."

Lenne smiled as they pulled away from their kiss.
"Alright," she said, "I love you."
With that, she turned on her heel and fled, looking for her new sister.

"I love you, too." He watched her go, and then got set to do his own things. Meanwhile, Navella was waiting at the other end of the long hall, near the entrance to the Palace. When she saw her soon to be sister-in-law coming down the hall, she absolutely beamed and waited for her new friend. As she neared, she held her hand out to her. Navella had no qualms holding the hand of another woman, especially when that woman was her friend. "Did you sleep well, Lenne? My brother didn't keep you up all night, did he? He used to be that way. He likes to talk."

"My brother didn't keep you up all night, did he?"
The girl blushed and opened her mouth to explain, or ask if they'd been heard in the middle of the night. Fortunately, she continued by saying he liked to 'talk'. Lenne sighed in relief, thankful that things had not just gotten incredibly awkward.
"No, it's fine. I slept well, thanks," she replied taking the offered hand, "Shall we?"

Navella grinned and gave Lenne's hand a squeeze. "Sure! Let's get going! I told daddy we don't need guards, hope that's alright." She led Lenne towards the door, the doormen opened it, and they walked out into the warm stickiness to begin heading down the road to the city. It wasn't that bad a day, actually, and there was a lot of sounds of bustling from the city. It always made her feel good. "So what's your world like? I've not gotten to leave Falleen like my siblings have. I have to wait a few more years yet. That being the case, you're the first of your species I've ever met!"

"Iridonia.... Well, it's warm, sometimes. Well, most of the time. Kinda barren. Not much there. Not like here. Falleen is wonderful. The rest of the galaxy... Well... Personally, I don't think you're missing much..."
It was true. There were beautiful worlds, but those beautiful worlds were full of Xenophobia and hate. It was hard for an alien.

Xenophobia and hate were quite prevalent on Falleen too. That was just the way they were. After visiting the galaxy, they always came back with the same opinion. Navella hadn't had that yet, though. "What do you do for fun on a barren world? Run around amongst the rocks?" She didn't say it in a condescending manner. She was actually seriously interested in the answer. Swinging their hands back and forth, they walked along, entering the city to many stares from all of the Falleen. They probably hadn't even been told about her yet. No doubt this was an extremely odd site. "Don't mind them. You're going to get a lot of stares here, but you're perfectly safe with me!"

It was actually probably for the best that she go into the city without guards. There was no reason to give the people any more reason to stare at her than they already had. A Zabrak on their world was rare enough. A Zabrak surrounded by royal guards? That would make her a spectacle.
"I'm sure," she answered, trying to keep her eyes ahead and pretend not to notice, "I'm not worried. I'm just here for a dress. That is all."
...And to marry your prince.

"And to get to know your soon to be sister-in-law, right?" Navella looked slightly concerned that Lenne might not have an interest in such a thing. She wanted to be Lenne's friend, not her enemy or anything. "We'll get you a dress, don't worry. There are lots of places to choose from. It will take some work, though. The dresses are made for Falleen women, and, well, we're a bit taller than you." She grinned a little sheepishly and gave Lenne's hand a squeeze as they walked along. There weren't many friends for a Princess. Best would be another Princess. She already liked the Zabrak girl. She was nice.

Lenne smiled and nodden at her soon to be sister-in-law, but the Falleen girl had to understand that Lenne was still shy about all of this. She wasn't used to Falleen yet. She wasn't used to her engagement. She wasn't even used to the idea that she was allowed to love.
"oh, i don't much care what sort of dress I wear, to be honest," she replied, "As long as it fits, well... here."
She put a hand to her growing abdomen. She was short, even for her own race, but that really wasn't the problem she was concerned about.
"I mean, it's easy to shorten something, right? I'm sure you have tailors."

She giggled a little. "Of course we do. You'll just have to pick out a dress and get it sized to fit!" Her tummy wasn't that big. Not yet. It would be easy to make the dress work considering they had time. Little bit of measuring, little bit of trimming and sewing. Her tummy would be nicely accentuated and hidden at the same time! She stopped and looked around for a moment before leading her across the street to a shop where they looked in the window at all the pretty dresses. Navella swooned a little. She wanted to wear one someday! "Wanna try here?"

Lenne followed the girl. Never in her life had she had the dream of wearing a wedding gown. Not until Radon stepped into her life. Even then, it felt too good to be real.
"I... I guess we could try here," she agreed, "but I don't want to try on anything... big."
And by 'big', she meant poofy. In the shop window were dresses with gigantic skirts, and large sleeves, covered in frills and lace. Did all weddings gowns need to be so... extravagant? She was a simple woman. Her sense of style was sleek and simple!
But then, she also wanted to fit in. For that, she would have to rely on Navella for Falleen fashion.

"Nothing big?" Navella frowned, unsure what she meant by that for a moment. She guessed, though, that she meant big as in poofy and overly grandiose. She liked this girl even more now. Instead of saying anything else, she smiled and pulled Lenne over to the door and opened it before leading her in. Inside there were racks and racks of dresses as far as the eye could see. This was kind of a big store. "Wow." She blinked and then looked at Lenne. "Look at everything. Just ignore price tags and find the dress you want to wear!"

Ignore price tags? Ah, of course. A royal wedding. She supposed price was no object here. She wasn't used to being able to just get what ever she wanted. This was all so new! Still, she didn't want anything that would make her look pretentious either.
She carefully combed the racks. Every so often she would find something, but then, she would look at the cut of the gown and realize that it would do nothing to hide her growing belly. That was the hard part about this. Suddenly, she stopped, motioning her new sister over.
"Navella... what about this one?"

Digging through racks was fun, but meticulous work. You had to examine each and every dress for cut and style, and make sure that it wasn't too overly poofy. She was wading through a rack, having gotten lost between them, when she heard Lenne's voice and stuck her head out between the dresses to see what was going on. Spotting her holding a dress, she climbed out and walked over to look at it. "Slim, refined, elegant. Why don't you try it on and let's see how the cut looks on you? I know it's not quite the right size, but it'll be close."

Well, Lenne took that as approval. With a nod, she scurried away into the dressing room. She had to actually suck it in to get the zipper over her growing chest, but she managed.
When she came out, she came out slowly, cautiously.
"I um... well?"

When she came out, it was clear the dress was too tall for her. Still, it didn't look back. Navella held up her hands with her fingers in a square, like she was taking a picture or something. She had a good look at her and then nodded her head slightly. "I like it. A lot. It accentuates you quite nicely. Your belly isn't overly exposed or anything. It shows your curves in a way that my brother will like. I don't see anything wrong with it at all." She smiled and waved her hands at Lenne. "What about you? What do you think of the dress?"

"it's... a little tight in the bust," she admitted, blushing, "But I think it will do."
More than that. It was probably the finest dress she had ever worn.

She giggled a little. "As long as it fits," she said, choosing not to make a comment about her and Radon. Instead, she waved for one of the workers to come down. "Go and get the seamstress so we can have the length of the gown fixed for the soon to be Princess here, would you?" The girl nodded and left without a word. Navella looked back to Lenne and grinned a little. "You will look good standing next to Radon in this. You look good just standing here." She winked and then stepped back when the seamstress arrived. Have to let the woman work!

It didn't take long. Editing length was easy. Making it fit comfortably in the bust was hard. But she was measured and the order was put in. She would have a lovely dress to marry her prince in.
When she changed back into her brown dress, she came back out to meet her new sister.
