To Craft a Saber (Vulpesen/Josh Dragonsflame

Vulpesen nodded. "Right, that too." For several moments he listened to her talk, moving to take a seat and look over the parts." She mentioned the making up the hilt, Vulpesen held up the empty scaled cylinder of his blade before reaching over to her holocrons. After a few swishes, he pulled up the blade of the ancient sith, Darth Tyranus. "Well, if you look at this one, you can notice that the curve only really happens on the end of the weapon while the most of it is straight parts." He pulled up Asajj's saber. "This one, the curve seems to appear more in the lower areas where the energy cell is located." As he spoke he circled his finger around each area of interest. "I believe a curved power cell would word, as long as the weapon was straight enough to take a steady stream to the end of it. As for how to get a hilt this shape, I believe they should be able to be purchased or gained. After all, this form was somewhat common since it was often used by practitioners of Makashi."

Alexandra looked over at the supply of Phrik she had and walked over to it, taking a bar of it that she had had it transported in. "This is what i planned for the hilts to be made out of, i was wondering if i myself would have to create the hilt's shape so to tie in my own signature to it much like a crystal is connected to ones self. That is what i meant... as for the curved power cell you mentioned..." She moved over to the assorted parts bin she had and pushed around the stuff in it almost clumsily before she pulled out two power cells, the second of which noticeably older than the first and inspecting them before sitting back down and looking at [member="Vulpesen"] . "Would these work, sorry if the parts are a bit older, i had to work through smugglers to get these parts without running into your own people or the Sith. Normally Sith and Jedi dont like it when sabers are being built and the holder is not of their orders."

Vulpesen nodded, looking towards the power cells. "That should do quite well." Reaching over, he picked up the phrik to take a look at it. "I really need to get myself some of this stuff. I'm no blacksmith so I can't help you there, but I'm sure there are some companies who can forge the hilt for ya." He set the phrik down and returned to his seat, once again looking over her parts.

"The forging i can do myself either way, i just needed to know if it was something that required i intertwine my essence in with the hilts themselves." She watched him move and take a seat before bringing the two power cells closer and handing them to him, letting him inspect them closely while she scavenged for the best looking parts of the other stuff he listed off. "What was the part called you said needed for the waterproofing?" [member="Vulpesen"]

"Integral Flashback water seals." He reached over and picked up the peices. "I believe they go above the focusing crystals." He handed her the seals and helped her look for the pieces. As he did this, he was reminded of when he created his own saber. Zarro and his father's holocron had been there to help him and now he was passing on what he had learned from the two masters. "Right... its odd, i should be remembering this stuff..." She rubbed her forehead and began to place the pieces out in front of her in the order that they would go, though repeatably she would hesitate and even mess up the order of several wires without even realizing it as she continued. As she worked though the gold flecks in her eyes seemed to move and even grow a bit, her hands working through the parts that were separated by letter and type she had on the table or in the bins around the room. Vulpesen watched her work carefully, helping her correct her occasional mistakes. "Careful Alex, I'd rather not have my friend blow herself up in her home. Especially when I'm the only witness." He grinned. "Makes for bad press on the jedi ya know?" He returned to the wiring and parts, continuing to help her with corrections. [member="Alexandra Cinthra"]

"Right sorry, ive just been having more trouble with those black outs and its harming my normally perfect memory... its odd, most days i can't even remember the day that had come just before when a few months back i would have remembered how many steps i took in an hour..." She sighed and looked at the pieces once they were all lain out and actually writing down the orientation on a datapad as she sat there, her hands moving across the screen before her as she did, the golden shading receding back to nothing more than just golden flecks. [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen looked at her, taking notice of her eyes but disregarding it for the moment. "Have you thought of having someone record your actions?" He shrugged and returned to working on the saber pieces with her. "Someone who can watch over you to find out what happens during those black out moment. Just something to think about." "Not really things have just been so busy that i haven't worried about that stuff between the..." She stopped and seemed to be arguing with herself in her head before shaking it and continuing. " ... students that i have taken up and the whole thing involving the child that had been grown for the friend of mine, whom has taken to a much closer look to me than i had expected to be honest. And most of these black outs are on my own expeditions so its not like there are a lot of people around me." [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen shook his head. "Still, this seems to be more than a bad weekend Alex. You really should try to figure out whats going on here. Can you at lest figure out when these episodes generally start? Maybe that will give you an idea as to whats going on." He looked over to her, a bit of concern in his eyes. He wasn't the worrying kind of person, but some occurrences were just too strange for his comfort. [member="Alexandra Cinthra"]

"Well... the most current ones were onmy expeditions to... lets see... Dxun, then there was the Ord Mantell strike that i was apart of, and during the Terrorist attack here on Alderaan... They happened when im in the midst of a battle or surrounded by such feelings as fear or pain." She looked at him and tapped her fingers as she stopped and spoke again. "For example, the last thing i remember about Ord Mantell is the bridge that was raising, and then nothing, a blank photograph in my mind until i woke up in a medical tent with no injuries." [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen raised an eyebrow at her words. "I don't like the sound of that." He shook his head. "I don't like it at all. Alex, after we're done with your saber, I would like to revisit this subject, it sounds like something I've heard of, just never quite seen." Once again, he returned to working on her saber. He may not have liked these developments, but that was no reason to give up on his current commitments and go against his word to help her. [member="Alexandra Cinthra"]

"It cant be that bad, i mean, i wasn't hurt so the black outs don't harm me. And other than my memory, im as fit and normal as always, still the same person that you met so long back and im sure that it is something that will continue far past this point, unless something horrible happens." She shrugged, though one of her hands began tapping more than ever on her leg as she took out a few more pieces with the other, her eyes running over those pieces they have lain out now and nodding. "I think thats everything if im not mistaken." [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen gave her a skeptical glance. He didn't buy this whole, 'its harmless' thing. However, [member="Alexandra Cinthra"] might have believed it and he wasn't one to just crush hopes. Still, he took notice of the tapping then the pieces. "I'll take it that it that you've never actually constructed a saber before." He went over one last inspection of the pieces, careful not to miss anything important or potentially boom causing.

She saw the glance and grinned at him before speaking, her head shaking with a bit of embarrassment at the observation on her knowledge of how to craft something like this. "No, i really haven't had the time or opportunity to learn how to create one of these through reverse engineering... it could be worse though, at least its me and not someone you aren't close friends with." [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen nodded and looked over the different objects. "Well, seems like we've got everything here. Next is the meditation process. As in the part that causes explosive repercussions if you screw up." He moved back to sit in a chair. "When you are ready to begin, just say the word. I may not be the grand master or some wise teacher, but I think I can do alright considering that I made my own saber two rims away from the jedi temple.

She nodded and crossed her legs before collapsing into a sitting state, her mind openning and eyes closing as she stared at the black behind the lids and calmed herself, her aura reaching out and touching everything around her. It was a calm and soft feeling coming from her, she was in full control at the moment and her other self no where to be seen as if Vulpesen would look on her aura instead it would be a light bluish grey that branched out and around her like vines from their seed, spreading over the walls and over the sabers itself, moving to feel the edges of the saber that sat before her. She almost forgot though and without opening her eyes she removed her sabers and disassembled them without touching them, extracting the Crystals.

[member="Vulpesen"]

(Forgot if i took out the crystals, but just incase did it now :D

Vulpesen sat back in his seat, watching her as the process began. His eyes narrowed and fixed their hawk like gaze on the sabers and pieces. So far so good, but he would keep a steady eye, just in case something went wrong. On his shoulder, he felt Ace's sleepy head rise from his robes to observe as well. One's first constructed saber was a large achievement and milestone. Vulpesen as honored to see hers.

Alexandra focused on creating one saber at a time, not sure if pouring herself into both sabers at the same time was a good idea considering her never doing this before. With Eyes closed she focused inwards and then let herself intertwine with the saber itself, binding them and melding them, sliding the pieces in place and sealing where she could on a molecular level. The strain was still hard on her, it was obvious as she completed the first without issue and now turned her spirit towards the second though her own aura seemed to dark more now, drawing power from something in her rather than her own being, the vines growing thorny in the force and her hold on the second saber's pieces losing their hold.
