To Heal A Hero

Yetari Sellix

The Traveling Doctor
[member="Geneviève Lasedri"]

Yetari was a troubled man, working on helping the various peoples of the galaxy as he traveled place to place and did what he could to make things better while things stayed just as bad for him. His most recent travels had brought him to Fresia, a core world that seemed more like it belonged in the outer rim than near more important planets, and soon enough he had his small local clinic ready to operate. The doctor would keep this establishment running for a while, then shut down to leave for the next place the traveler services took him to since the destination itself meant nothing for him.

Ever since the fall of Coruscant to the Sith his life had become one of wandering and self pity, made somewhat more bearable only by a recent trip to Alderaan, and Yetari was still searching for a way to forget about his loss. While this would be quite difficult with a scar constantly reminding him, if his life had any real meaning and direction it would be good enough to at least take his mind off of it all. Yetari thought about things like this as he repeated the same movements he did when setting up all of his temporary clinics, wondering if it all really made any difference for the galaxy in the long run while lifting small crates of supplies and cleaning the place up alone.

It was a small and simple building set up on one of the smaller islands near the more populated areas, but it was as good as he could rent out for the last of his credits. Funny that he was paying to essentially help out the planet's people mostly for free with whatever supplies he had left. If he did run out of credits he could always just take up a job on whatever planet he decided to stay on, but right now Yetari was not ready to stay in one place for too long for a few reasons.

"I just need...to know what to do with the joke of a life I have left."

Geneviève was on a world she had never before seen. She stood at the edge of a monstrous crater, the land around her gray, barren, and dusky, an orange, dirty haze hovering and swirling just above ankle level. Otherwise, the celestial body she was standing upon held no atmosphere.

Practically mummified in a spacesuit, she turned about slowly, taking in the dead landscape. There was nothing to see within the horizon. The only motion she could detect was the wispy currents of the orange fog that hugged the surface, and the scarce stars that gradually traversed the heavens. So this is how I end?

Had she been left here by the ship's crew? The 26-year-old woman looked to her hands and found a blaster snugly situated between her curled fingers. How thoughtful of them.

Regore had heard some throubeling news about [member="Geneviève Lasedri"], and had set out to find her whit a smal sease party of soldiers, soon after entering the seystem they found her body, leaving the ship the group prepard to recover her and bring her to the nearest medic/doc.
[member="Mrrew"]

Mrrew stood in [member="Regor Laxvan"]'s ship, his organic arm crossed over the robotic prostetic that was still covered in white felt. He didn't know who the man was, but he was a ally of [member="Geneviève Lasedri"]'s apperantly. The large Togorian loomed over the injured form of Genevieve, waiting impatiently for the ship to land wherever it's destination was, sot hat she could recieve treatment. He had no idea what had happened to her, he had been contacted by Regor that she was found injured. And he arrived. Mrrew growled under his breathe as he glanced out ofe of the viewports, wondering why it was taking so long to get her to a medical center. He did'nt know her well, but he met her as soon as he left Kashyyk, and she did a lot of good with the Rebels. The galaxy couldn't afford to lose her.

Regore lookd at the body of his bady insjured comrade "dont worry we won't let you die"he lookd at [member="Mrrew"], knowing this big man would agree, the ship aproced the clinic of [member="Yetari Sellix"] regore had heard some fade intel about the doc, but it seemd there best shot, 4 soldiers caryd [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] into the building, regore craked his knukels and lookd at his beastly companion "he will help her one way or the other"

The doctor was busying himself with cleaning his equipment when a sudden loud bang caught his attention, and he ran to the front entrance with his blaster in hand and ready to rumble if need be. It wouldn't be the first time someone had tried to raid his clinic for medicine to feed their addictions and to sell, so he set his weapon to stun and burst into the room.

"Alright junkies, put down the stuff and get out you pu-"

When he finally saw who had made their way into his humble building it became obvious this would be a first for him. They were far too well equipped to be basic thieves, and seemed to be carrying the body of a young woman in their arms. She was quite injured from what he could see, and so Yetari knew there was no time to lose.

"Bring here back here and gently put her on the table! I need to grab a few things."

The doctor rushed to the back room and quickly knocked everything off the table-top, then moved to one of his tool-boxes and started looking for what he would need.

The soldiers dit as [member="Yetari Sellix"] say, and put [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] down on the tabel gently, regore folowed into the room and kept a eye on things as dit the g.l.c soldiers.
[member="Mrrew"]

Mrrew nodded to the man, carrying [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] over his massive shoulder like a firefighter droid. He quickly followed on after [member="Yetari Sellix"], placing her carefully on the table he designated. According to [member="Regor Laxvan"], this man must be a good doctor, or he wouldn't have brought her here. He better be able to help. Mrrew frowned, stepping back from the table, and crossing his arms again. He better.

These men were not his usual customers, but in this case it seemed as if the choice was not exactly in his hands. They looked quite tough, and the large furry one seemed especially ready to tear the doctor to shreds if he refused to help...or even just failed. Things were not going to be normal this day, but as long as there was an injured person at risk there was a job that needed to be done. Yetari pulled out the medisensor from his kit and slowly waved it over her body and as he read the results found her to be in an even worse condition than he thought. She was young...too young to be put in the line of danger and get ruined like this, and he became angry while assuming it was one of these men who dragged her into it all.

"What...happened to this woman? Tell me...now."

Mrrew watched very carefully as [member="Yetari Sellix"] began to scan [member="Geneviève Lasedri"], careful to make sure that he didn't do anything harmful to her. Wether intentionally, or unintentionally. He kept his arms crossed, watching extremely closely. He didn't nkow the doctor, and he was sure that there were a whole lot of people that would love to kill the leader of the Rebel Alliance. He wasn't goignt o take any chances.

As the doctor asked what happened, Mrrew turned towards [member="Regor Laxvan"], curious of the awnser himself.

gun replied "wel doc we were boarding a slaveschip trying to free the slaves, and the lady here charesed ahead, wat would not have been a problem normaly, she can handel herself, thoug these bastards had a sith on there side, and he dit this to her, we coudn't get her away from the sith soon anof" he siad sadly.

Yetari sighed at the sound of Sith being involved, the very same monsters who ruined his life, and put down his sensor once the scan was complete. She had multiple bone fractures, shrapnel in her right leg, a broken nose along with a heavily damaged face, and a damaged larynx and trachea. The woman was in horrid condition, trapped inside her own mind in a comatose state, and there would not be much time to help her before things got worse.

"Well then I'll need to work fast. I don't know why you were randomly trying to free slaves, but next time keep her out of your vigilante work."

He decided to start from her face and throat and go down, pulling out a medical injector and using it to inject some bacta into her system. It would help the healing as he went to work, using his flash-sterilizer to clean the wound of germs and bacteria before setting her nose straight, then covering the bridge of it with synthflesh gel and bandages to keep it set straght while it healed. The doctor began covering the various other cuts and wounds on her face with a bacta salve, and inspected his work.

"So...what is a young woman like this doing with a bunch of thugs like you?"

[member="Regor Laxvan"]
[member="Mrrew"]
[member="Geneviève Lasedri"]

Regore smiled "It wasn't random, we are members of the Galactic liberation Collective, she is a volanteer same as the soldiers here, thad is why she was whit us, and why we brougt her here, we wern't going to let our comrade die." His face turnd serieus "so i hope you arn't in leag whit any salvers" He lookd at [member="Mrrew"] fore his explanation.

...Mrrew stared at [member="Regor Laxvan"] with an annoyed expression. Sure, just tell a man you hardly who she is. That can't go badly at all. Mrrew shook his head slowly, before dropping a hand to his heavy blaster pistol, sighing. "Just heal her, and we can pretend like none of this happened. You've never seen us, you've never seen her, et cetera. Just heal her."

Regore turnd to the doc and gave him a slap on the shoulder "dont worry about my brutis friend here, his is just protective" whit this gesture he left a smal trakind devise on the doc, jsut to be shure he would not rat them out.
"so doc why do you live in this hovel?" He smiled to [member="Mrrew"]

Yetari cast a glare at [member="Mrrew"], watching him move towards his blaster while the doctor foolishly left his in the front room. Whether or not they considered themselves good people, they were armed inside of his quiet little clinic and threatening him just with their very presence. Either way the important thing was the injured woman, so he turned to resume his work. The doctor injected another dose of bacta into the area near her throat to help it heal from the Sith's attack, and then moved down to her leg to remove the shrapnel after injecting some anesthesia near the wound.

It would be delicate work, so he grabbed his laser scalpel and went to work making small incisions into her leg around the foreign material.

"About this little group of yours...you know you shouldn't be getting involved with Sith. It can only lead to death when you try to face them, so when she wakes up I would convince her to stop all of this. And maybe you guys should just stop too...unless you want to be on this table next of course. I work in places like this trying to fix people who need it, but trying to deal with the Sith is how you lose loved ones and end up like this woman."

[member="Regor Laxvan"]

She was all alone, gazing across the dust of a desolate rock. She only had a few hours of air, according to the gauge that flashed in her helmet's HUD. Had they killed all her allies? She looked above, to the stars, and saw only a pair of glowing, yellow eyes. They laughed at her.

Gen sent out a distress beacon, though she had little hope that anyone would answer if she had been marooned out here. How long had it been? The stars were fewer than she had ever observed. Perhaps she was on the absolute edge of the Tingel Arm, lightyears and lightyears from any living creatures. She was going to die, and no one would know.

"Regor," she called out over the comms. "Mrrew." There was no answer--not even static. There was no solace in this silence. It was death.

Her mind began to ruffle through a catalog of names, and with each name she thought of, her HUD projected a face. Even that little freighter cousin of hers.

Gen's eye wandered to her gun.

Saran stood silent behind the others, the only one of them not carrying a visible weapon. Not that she wasn't armed, but she wasn't holding a weapon in her hand or displaying one on her belt.. Her robes still stained from the fight, she could understand the doctor's words and where they came from. That didn't mean she agreed. Resting a hand on [member="Mrrew"]'s shoulder, she spoke quietly to the towering Togorian. "There's no need to threaten him."

Slipping past the others to stand beside the operating table, she spoke to the doctor without raising her voice or appearing threatening. "I was supposed to face the sith, not her. I was too slow."

Pausing a moment, she tried to reach [member="Geneviève Lasedri"]'s mind. Gen? Can you hear me?

Mrrew frowned at [member="Saran Drast"], but nontheless droppped his hand from his gunbelt. There was no sense shooting the man, that wouldn't get Genieve healed. That dind't make him suddenly patient. Mrrew frowned, folding his oragnic arm over his cybernetic again, and continued to watch the doctor. He didn't plan on quitting the 'little group', as he put it. In fact, he would have to oversee it while [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] was recovering. But he saw no point in saying that, it wouldn't helpt he doctor heal her, and it wouldn't help her wake up. So the Togorian stayed silent.

Regore stood close to the sabel and lookd at [member="Saran Drast"] "you werend the only one thad was to slowe, i coudn't stop him either, any normal being would atleast be distracted when atacted by 2 swordsmen and a unit of rifelmen, but this guy didin't even flins" he sichted "should have done better recon, collect more intel."
