Private To Hell and Back

Teshi came up fast, stumbling, and wild-eyed beneath the helmet. It took a moment to realize she was alive. The day had been full of close calls - and it wasn't even over yet. Noah's words brought the same wild laughter about as when she had boarded his ship.

"Im buyin' all of you lot a drink tonight, but the toast 's goin' to you, Corek!"

Blinking back stars, Noah's cue sent her rolling for cover once more. It didn't surprise her the cultists didn't miss a beat. Like their animals, many of them had been experimented on and mutated beyond the bounds of organic biology. They could take a beating, and then some - a little light wouldn't phase them. Only one thing to do. The Major followed their leader, raising her own rifle. Whilst his machine gun carved through enemies, her own shots were tempered, focusing on providing cover to Noah as he was in the open.

"Flower, do you read?" Vhi's voice came a welcome respite, though staticky. "Group B has made it to the transport. What the hell is going on back there? Y'all better move your asses."

"Roger." Was all the response they got, teeth gritted to compensate the kickback of the weapon. "Corek! They made it!"

The Mando had proven himself a capable leader - and she would be dog food if not for him. She'd wait for his cue to go, no sooner.
