To secure gainful employment [Jak Sandrow]

Elveria breathed a sigh of relief "Keep the guns on him, he moves shoot him again, I'm gonna sedate him again" she went back to the back seat taking a syringe of the same sedative he'd been spiked with, that should get him sleeping for a few hours while they secured him. she returned to the boot and injected him "Sleepy time Jack" She said before snatching up the shiv. Then they set about dragging him inside. The interrogation centre had been abandoned for a few years and aside from lucien only a few historic societies knew of it's location so they would not be disturbed.

When Jack woke up he would find himself in a cold stone room dressed in ragged prison wear, Lucien had ordered all of Jaks property be safely secured so that no of it was damaged. His wrists chained to the wall above his head, heavy iron chains restraining his legs and a blindfold obscuring his eyes. Having seen Jaks performance earlier he had also been fitted with a force containment collar. all tightened to uncomfortable levels. About an hour after the boot incident Jak would be brought back to consciousness. An imposing man, who of course Jack couldn't see, would serve as Jak's torturer for the night. An old friend who owed lucien a favour. He had been given strict orders "Hold him for 8 hours, no permanent damage during that 8 hours, If Jak betrayed Lucien before torture had begun the man could have his fun with him free from retribution, if he betrayed him within the three hours break his legs and leave him in the desert , if he lasted 4 hours break his arms and leave him in the desert, if he lasted 7 beat him up and leave him on the doorstep of a bar"

The man slapped Jak's face a few times "Now then Jak you're in trouble here, I'm going to begin torturing you in a moment ... unless" he smiled which again Jack couldn't see "You answer some questions for me, we'll begin nice and easy what's your bosses' name?, then you can tell me where his package is" He said

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Behind the blindfold, Jak rolled his eyes. What the hell was this... Too much machismo, in his opinion. This was not at all how you interrogate someone.

The force collar was uncomfortable, to be sure, but Jak just closed his eyes and said nothing. At all, and instead wondered where the hell he had heard Cordel?????

"Nothing ?" The man grunted and nailed Jack with a hard right hook, not bone breaking hard but t would hurt, I suppose Jak couldn't have his bones broken owing to a lack of them but still no matter.

"I love it when they say nothing" he said standing up and walking over to the other side of the room where he was storing a rather limited set of devices owing to the no major damage rule. No knives, no hammers it was all very disappointing. He picked up a electrified baton, he couldn't hit jack hard so he would just make soft hits hurt more. He walked back to Jak "Now I am a fair man so I'll let you pick your poison ... Where should we start the beating ?" He asked prodding at Jak's chest

Jak felt the blow, and rolled his eyes again. If he was their only lead, there was no chance of him being hurt. Permanently, anyway. He took comfort in that, and steeled himself for the long wait for when the guard left him to recover.

Beating and slicing were easily fixed; it was water that would torture the hybrid, and he hoped desperately they didn't know that.

Feeling the prodding, he just stayed still, tensing a little for the imminent blow, and still said nothing.

"Quiet ain't you?" The man grunted again "It's fine, I'll make a decision for you we'll start at your chest then work down to your legs and feet" Follow the nerves, thats what all the best interrogators knew. Focus on the areas with nerve clusters to inflict maximum pain. Of course he was used to torturing humanoids and Jak was likely very different. Of course this wasn't known to the interrogator. so he began with a heavy strike into Jaks stomach This would be painful in two ways in theory. First it would knock the wind out of a person and second the electric would course across the muscle mass of the chest and cause it to tense up. He followed his first blow up quickly with a second trying hard to mirror his first strike exactly. Then he stopped a second baton hovering. He grabbed jak's hair and pulled his head up to look at him "You ready to talk?"

Jak mused, that it was ironic that his greatest strength was granted by the person he loathed the most. Still, he was grateful for his hybrid-ness... because despite the fact he didn't have any nerve system, and it was going to hurt like a ditch, his physiology let him repair and heal much faster than other, average organisms.

The jab to the gut did hurt, as did the shock, but Jak let out no more than a strained breath. To give the interrogator any sign of acknowledgement would be to give him power. So when his hair was yanked up, he set his mouth and didn't so much as spit.

The Interrogator grunted and pushed Jak's head into the wall. This one was working out to be a tough nut to crack. He would have to take things up a notch perhaps a less physical form of interrogation would work better. For now though the interrogator was going to try a more sensitive area of Jaks anatomy. That might break him, the man moved down to the other end of jak. and struck his feet. In a humanoid the cluster of nerves there mde this type of beating excruciating but since he had no nerves he might find it far less painful. [I have been watching too much banged up abroad] He did this two or three times then stopped "Ready to talk?" he asked.
Anticipating the answer however he moved back over to the table to prepare the apparatus for the next tactic.

The bridge of Jak's nose tightened, and he let out a slightly strained breath, but other than that, he gave no indication of feeling any pain.

He wasn't going to fight back, not just yet, but he subtly tested the strength of his bonds, just to see how much they might give.

None at all was the current answer, so he just stuck it out. The interrogator would leave eventually.

"Kark" The interrogator swore under his breath. He had at least hoped to get something, this was embarrassing. He threw the baton against the wall, snapping it in the process. He had one idea that might get Jak talking a healthy dose of drowning. Of course he couldn't do that in here.

"Sit tight there" He chuckled "I'm going to run you a bath" He cackled again, sometimes he was surprised by his own wit. If torturing for a living didn't work out a career in comedy might work for him . None the less he left Jak alone in the room for a time while he went to prepare the water.

As for Jak's bonds they were strong but the wall holding his arms was a little weakened. The bracket holding his wrist restraints could be pulled out of the wall if enough force was applied. Jak would have about ten minutes till the torturer returned.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
He felt the wall weaken, just a little, and finally allowed himself a wide smile. So his plant side had been unnoticed after all. And he was going to get a good, long drink.

Busting out of the bonds would be no issue; he could either shrink his wrists and hands enough so that they just fall off, or go all brute and snap them off.

So he set to weakening the wall, but only a little. If the guard noticed the chance, and how tired Jak would act, he may make the mistake that Jak was extremely weak, and so let down his guard.

"Wakie wakie" The guard called as he reentered "It's time for a little bath"

He didn't see the weakening of the wall. He was satisfied that his precautions had worked as it seemed that Jak was no nearer to escape He walked over to Jak and unfastened the chains from their bracket on the wall. Then he moved to yank Jak onto his feet

"Lets go for a walk"

Jak offered no resistance, and walked along side the guard silently, mapping out the journey, short as it was. Any information may come in handy.

He clenched his fists, then relaxed them, breathing slower till he was very, very calm. He needed focus for this. A potentially unlimited water source would fuel any and all plant growth indefinitely.

[member="Jak Sandrow"] must have been rather more tired than imagined, the torturer was expecting Jak to put up some fight but it seemed he was close to breaking. The Torturer dragged Jak down the corridor. He was afterall blindfolded.

They entered a tiled room dominated by a large bath. The torturer threw Jack to his knees next to the bath , "You ready to talk ?" He asked. If he once again received no answer he would pull Jak's head over the side of the bath and put it under water. holding him under for a minute or so before yanking him out again.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak could practically smell the water, he was so thirsty, now. Once again, he thanked his lucky Force ghosts that the man intended to put him under the water.

When the man inevitably dunked him, every cell in his body practically sang for joy. Hoping once more that the guard wouldn't notice any water levels dropping, Jak lay, pretending to struggle a little, 'weakly', as he greedily drank the water. Power was flooding through him again, and he felt strength return. Air was not an issue; he could both breathe through his nose and skin, or potentially not have to breathe at all for an extended period of time.

He waited for the interrogator to pull him out again.

Torturers were not commonly hired for their ability to notice water levels. As such he didn't notice the water dropping. He was far too busy smiling to himself judging by the weak struggle Jak was putting up he was about to break.

The minute passed and Jak was pulled out of the water, "You ready to talk?" he asked with a smile, Jak was sure to turn coat now then he could go home and have a well earned drink. He was growing bored by all the rules he'd been given so he hoped it would be over soon.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak spoke, not weakly or half-drowned, but with the power and lethality of a sword stroke. "You have three seconds to surrender."

His skin rippled over, and green coursed over his skin like fast ivy, and in two rapid heartbeats he was Jak Sandrow, the assassin plant. His muscles coiled, strength built, and he prepared to smash the man's face into the floor behind them.

The torturer stumbled backward as Jak turned green. He hadn't been paid enough for this, he thought Jak was human. He crawled towards the door "He didn't pay me enough for this " Then the man hightailed it hoping that Jak wouldn't follow him and cursing Lucien.
"Lucien You Karking Peice of chit ... He's a monster"

"Did he betray me ?" Lucien asked very calmly

"No, But he might well kill me you peice of chit"

"Very good, well enjoy yourself, I'll see about coming to collect him ... perhaps"

Then Lucien cut communications and returned to his book, he was sure Jak would be enjoying smashing the place up.

"Shim send a car for Jak, I'm at a good bit" He instructed his assistant. No doubt he would owe jack a drink for escaping in two hours.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak slipped out of his bonds with ease. Time to do some interrogating of his own. He breathed deeply, flexing his muscles. Also time for some payback.

He couldn't feel the dirt from wherever he was in the prison, or whatever this place was, but he had a good idea where to start.

Following the panic left behind by the retreating ex-interrogator, he easily made his way through dozens of people. Some he left alone - those were the ones cowering in fear - the others he just knocked upside the head. The one he really wanted was that Elveria lady. And he guessed she was right behind these double doors.

[member="Lucien Cordel"]

Elveria was not behind door number one or even door number 2.

Elveria was in her hotel room having fulfilled her role to the letter. She was presently blogging about how amusing the evening had been. Jak would not see her until they both turned up to work tomorrow, lucien trusted it would be quite an amusing morning.

The ex-interrogator was cowering in there though and since he had outlived his usefulness no one was going to protect him.

"Jak ... Hi, you want to sit down, here take my chair " He was speaking at a rather alarming rate and had backed into the wall "You want tea, I'll get you tea" and he hurried toward the door"

Unfortunately, since Jak could now see outside (the main office had a lovely view of the desert), he saw that he wasn't getting any plant reinforcements any time soon. Fortunately, he had had enough to drink that he didn't need any, any time soon.

Flechettes zipped forth from Jak's hand, coating the doorway before the man could reach it. "No." He strode purposefully to the trembling man. "Now I want you to answer a few questions." An extremely thin, extremely sharp plant blade sprouted from the back of Jak's wrist with the sound of willow branches in the wind. "And maybe you leave with most of your limbs. After all," he grinned menacingly, fingers lightly testing the blade, "you really only need one eye and three fingers to write down the answers."

"So let's begin. Where am I? And please, the more information you can give me, the more fingers I can let you keep."
