The taxi driver let out a chuckle, as Jonyna hugged back. It was a simple gesture, but Jonyna was always one for simple gestures.

"Almost there, so don't get too comfy back there you two." The Sullestan noted. "Wouldn't be the first time my cab became a therapy session. You wouldn't believe the type of folks I see on the regular."

Jonyna let out a chuckle as she broke the hug. "I'm sure. I've been trying to get myself acquinted with the city, there's always more to it it seems." She looked to Seo. "You've been around cities, yeah? How do you deal with it? It's always so...noisy."

Pulling away from Jonyna when she broke the hug, her golden eyes glanced at the cabbie when he spoke.

"I can only imagine good sir. Even a Jedi hears a tale now and then."

It seemed to come with the job description. Shrugging her shoulders slightly, Seo used far more body language than usual. Maybe it was the shock she had just experienced, or she was starting to relax and look forward to the evening before them.

Turning her attention back to the other Knight, Seo was silent while thinking of an answer for her.

"Normally, I don't spend much time in cities. When I do, I always try to have a safe haven—a place I can go to get away from everything. If that isn't possible, then I try to find a library or equally quiet location—almost any place that offers solitude."

"For me, that's been the Temple for a while now." Jonyna chuckled, then paused. "...um...I don't do libraries. Not that they're bad or anything, I just...can't read..."

The Knight had grown up a slave and was entirely uneducated. If Jonyna expected to get chiding or laughed at, she was mistaken. Listening to what the other Knight had to say, she couldn't provide a good suggestion.

"One can always learn. I couldn't read until I was a teenager. Besides, you don't need to know to visit a library. I'll take you to one if you're interested after tonight."

"Oh! I am learning, it's just....a process. Spent a lot of time on and off with Master Amani. But it's just one of those sore spots for me. Never really came up when I was dealing with the Imperials back in the day. Always had someone to cover that side of me."

The cabbie smiled. "Alright girls, here we are. Club Retro."

Jonyna smiled. "Thank you sir. Here's your tip." She offered a small datapad, giving the cabbie...probably more than he could've made all day.

It felt like another lifetime ago when Seo was a Padawan and had a Master. Though she did not give voice to her thoughts if Jonyna could read body language, then she might be able to tell the Knight was thinking about something. Barely nodding, some of her reactions could be blamed on the shock she had received not long ago.

"Thank you, sir. Stay safe."

Tipping her head as she spoke, she climbed out of the cab after the other Knight.

"Do you think I'll fit in well enough?"

"Any more than a Cathar in a leather jacket." Jonyna chuckled. "You'll do fine. Places like this are always groovy with a new face poppin' in, yeah?" She said it such casual tone, and yet she sounded like she was straight out of a period piece. "Just chill and boogie down, sister!"

As they entered and passed a Wookie Bouncer who didn't seem to have any issue letting them through, the sound of Rebel era music, stuff normally heard in historical dramas, blared through the lobby. Folks around seemed to be dressed like this was Mos Eisley circa 2 BBY, and a good amount were clearly already in need of a designated driver. The club layout was rather simple to follow. A lobby that housed a small set of couches that had clearly seen better days, with a staircase on each side leading up to a bar that overlooked the main attraction, a dance floor that the lobby led right into. Old wooden floors left for people to groove it up, while in the back, a band of two twi'leks and a pair of humans played live music.

"Remind me to take you to Soceras sometime."

Looking ahead of them, Seo was trying to read the place and gave up almost as soon as walking in the door. It was very clear people were here to drink, smoke, dance, and have fun. A location like this would easily fit on the planet she had just mentioned.

She could understand why Jonyna had picked this cantina. The music and appearance of the patrons were from her point in time. Nodding her head to the tune's beat, she found herself at the bar ordering a drink.

"Do you want anything?"

"I wouldn't mind a bit of gin." Jonyna nodded, looking to Seo with a smile. "I love this place when it's not too packed. Friday nights are a bit too stuffed. What about you? What does a girl like you do for fun on a friday night?" There was a flirty tone to her voice, before she let out a giggle.

"Gin on the rocks. I'll take a Desert sundown."

Once they had their drinks, Seo turned the glass around in her hands a few times before answering the question. Giving Jonyna a slight smile, she appreciated the humor and chose honesty.

"What is fun to a former slaver and a mother who was a child? On a less serious tone, though, I raided other villages for supplies. AND on a totally fun note, I would party all night long with my family, friends, and townsfolk. What did you do?"

Leaning against the bar, she drank the sweet alcohol in the glass.

"Picked fights with stormtroopers, practiced my lightsaber skills, and uh...threeways with a padawan and a battle droid." She smirked, taking a sip of her gin "Back when I was wild and frisky. Got a mate now, at least...I think." She pouts, letting out a frustrated breath. "He's been AWOL for a while now, not sure where he went. Might need to start looking for a new one if he doesn't show back up at the ship soon..."

If Jonyna had hoped to get a reaction out of the former slave, then she was in for a disappointment. Seo lived in a palace once she changed from a girl into an adult.

"I might not have been involved with a battle droid, but there were times when I was forced to be wild and frisky. My mate has decided to live a life of pleasure, drugs, and drinking. When I'm ready to settle down, I'll join him."

After finishing the drink, Seo turned as another patron approached the two women. Motioning to the glass, another was placed in her hand, and she took a sip. Much more, and the Jedi wouldn't be able to keep herself standing.

"Maybe the two of us can get a place together and wait for our mates."

Jonyna raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly. "Is that an invitation?"

"Not yet."

She said this with a slight chuckle and a shake of her head.

"I don't have a place. My ship is my home."

"Same! I mean, I do have a home, but it's back on Cathar. I don't really use it outside of R and R." Jonyna giggled, taking another shot of gin. "You wanna dance pretty lady?"

"That is one place I've never been. What is it like?"

Having traveled throughout the Galaxy, Seo had seen many different worlds and was interested in knowing about Cathar and any other place she hadn't been.

When Jonyna asked if she wanted to dance, she chugged the rest of her drink and held her arm out.

"That's one reason we came here."

The sound of the band filled the room as Jonyna pulled Seo Linn onto the dance floor, slowly stepping to the groove. Clearly, she had some experience here. "Oh, Cathar is amazing if you like the jungle! I can show you all my favorite spots. The top of my city-tree is beautiful at night, especially if you sneak up there with a music player and just jam out when you're watching the stars."

Her hips moved in sync with the beat, Jonyna losing herself to the rhythm, allowing herself to jive, her tail twirling in the air. At one point, it brushed against Seo's side, as Jonyna spun around and showed herself off. Clearly, she was a bit tipsy at this point.
