Tournament of Creation interest check

My current thinking is that it would be a shame for inventions to get forgotten/rendered unfindable or run into complaints, so what I'm thinking is that the tournament deadline(s) would be dates by which a given invention needed to be submitted to the Factory. I say just Factory because Codex judging often takes longer and I'm less familiar with the norms. I'm sympathetic to people who don't want to answer to FJs for their inventions, but I suspect the need to submit creations will be a positive influence on quality. I don't anticipate many problems: people will be building primarily for innovation, not for power, and judges are often inclined to stamp creative things more easily.

Not sure there's much you would submit to Codex anyway in dealing with something like this.

Cus, I was wanting to create this thing anyways, and I would, but I thought I might challenge myself more by putting it in this little challenge. Add a twist onto my thread.

EDIT: Yes, this means I am joining up, I just want to know if I would have to start a new thread all over due to specific date and times, or could we almost literally start now? If it has to be within specific times, that is fine with me. I'll just do this a second time then.

Just a clarification.

No outside technology or materials can be used. Specialized tools and equipment are acceptable.

Not sure what would qualify as special tools? For example, if Sage wants to bring in a human skull to use in his creation (or perhaps slay a "helper" in the creation ritual, to use his/her skull? Would that be a no-no?

Wow, that's what I get for writing different parts of that post at different times.

You can bring just about anything tool-wise, but it can't be included in the final product.

Helpers, however, are fair game.

I've seen some killer submissions and threads out of this so far. We were going to end at 11PM EST tomorrow, exactly 24 hours from now. Do we need an extra day?

And do we want a second round?
