Dominion Toxicity || SO Dominion of Anoat Hex

Toxic-Title.png

Anoat, to some the world was a boon of hidden treasure. To others the planet was a symbol of the evils that those seeking power and domination on a galactic scale could be capable of. The Sith Order did not see it as either. Rather it was one more step toward their goal. It was a means to an end, one which provided some benefit.

Proximity to Bespin.

Still, the history of the world proved to be useful for the purpose of training their ground forces to deal with harsh conditions, and unforgiving environments. Breathing masks would be required on the surface as the atmosphere had yet to heal from the toxic gas which poisoned the world below. Those who had survived became something horrific. Creatures, monsters, known as Lurkers roamed the abandoned cities openly with their packs of Akk dogs for company.

The Sith Order would never control the world until they dealt with the wild threat which posed itself in the form of the mutated humanoids. There would be those likely wishing to experiment on them, hoping to isolate the mutation for their own devices. The consensus was simply to eradicate them all, and clear the world for total Sith occupation. They would not be obedient drones to work in the gas harvesting efforts on Bespin which made them little more than pests.

Other rumors had reached the ears of the warmongers about an old secret base belonging to Moff Rebus. His weapon designs were once considered to be ahead of their time, and drove the Galactic Empire’s war machine. While the Moff had stood trial centuries before, many of his designs and prototypes were certain to be hidden in the base somewhere. They could not be allowed to fall into the hands of others who would seek to exploit them.

Efforts to clear the atmosphere of the deadly poison which had polluted the planet, making it near inhabitable, were also underway. Alchemists and scientists alike sought the world for its potential in revitalization efforts. A base of operations, a section of the planet which held the most promise, would be the starting point. The military campaign fell hand in hand with these efforts. Once the weapons base was cleared, the scientists would move in. For now, ships filled the atmosphere removing the poison while others collected and studied soil samples.

If the Sith Order could bend planets to their will, then they could stage their galactic war from anywhere in the galaxy.

The Lurkers are nothing more than rodents. Join the teams seeking to execute and eradicate them. Put them down before their numbers swell and overwhelm the terraforming team. Ensuring that none are left behind is a high priority.

exploit.png

The weapons base is underground. Rumor and evidence points to the fact Moff Rebus’ plans and prototypes are still hidden away deep in the base. Find them. Perhaps the Emperor will offer a reward to those who expand his arsenal.

Anoat is a valuable experiment. The Sith Order wishes to answer one question. Can they make a dead planet live again? Other factions had done it, why couldn’t the Sith? Clear the atmosphere. Remove the poison.

“We must play the game of politics today,” Gerwald had said to those under his charge. “It is not a game I like, but necessary if this Order will be a place for all of us to thrive.”

Even with the death of Ophidia, loose strands threatened to unravel the delicately woven tapestry that made up the reality of the current Sith Order. Gerwald did not like the feeling that everything could fall apart at any moment with the right push. The wolf had been tasked by the emperor with one task before Empyrean ever took the throne for himself. He was tasked with ensuring the advancement of the Eternalist agenda. Empire or not, if Empyrean thrived, then so did Gerwald.

That did not mean he had not learned a few things from his mistress Srina Talon Srina Talon . He would ensure that he would always have options should everything around him collapse. He could not make the same mistake he had within the Confederacy.

His ship touched down in the hangar of the agreed meeting location which had been established prior with Darth Strosius Darth Strosius . The invitation was unclear as to everyone which would be present, but Gerwald was certain he would be outnumbered in view and philosophy. That was hy he invited several to join him. Those who could accompany him did.

As long as the hangar was open, breathing masks were required. Gerwald had one built into the helmet of his armor, which he removed the moment he walked into the room where the meeting was to take place. While the atmosphere was cleared, they would converse, until the wolf grew tired of it. The weapons on his belt indicated that he intended to deal with the lurker problem on the planet at some point.

He was an instrument of war after all, as were most of those who followed him.

The wolf scanned the room, and his eyes settled on their host. He canted his head to those with him.

“He always has something in play, like any inquisitor should. Whatever his plans are they likely involve Malum as well. While Malum has pledged himself to Empyrean for now, Strosius is opposed to anyone that would call themselves emperor. We need to see how well we can all get along today. With threats outside of the Order growing, some form of trust must be brokered. Even if it is nothing more than a simple understanding.”

His eyes went back to their host, and the wolf nodded before crossing the length of the room.

“Darth Strosius…”

Fatalia received the ping on her wrist pad and set a course for Anoat. The surface was covered in fumes that had high levels of toxicity and yet there was life on the planet in form of mutatations. Some almost humabuod in their grotesque shapes, the other was hounds of hell that Fatalia intended to skin with her saber.

She landed on the outskirts of the city, a great field with gas hanging heavy over it in mustard color. The Twi’lek put on some protective googles, and had already attatched a breather set to her mouth piece. Stepping off the ramp casually she began to saunter towards the city, the goal was simple, eradicate the monsters, an objective Jedi might even agree with. But as an Inquisitor, Fatalia had ulterior motives as well.

Reaching the dilapidated structure ahead, she heard the growl of Akk dogs. Arching around a corner of the structure she saw the full goldown blood orange hide of one of the beasties. She unclipped her curve hilted lightsaber, the snipping beast pausing as it got a wiff of her. It began tracking as it bowed its head low to ground, its great cobalt eyes like oval shields and its scales shimmering as it towered and made the ground tremble with each step. It bore around the corner with its teeth, and found nothing. Fatalia had scaled the wall to a plateform above, and ducked inside an open window. Extermination was the directive, but self preservation was top priority. One could not compete the mission if they were dead. Inside the rather drab and spoiled room, Talia inspected what appeared to be gear of some kind, a tarp of tan color flapping near the other broken window, glass rustling. She took some deep breaths as she found a blue key card, it was covered in grid shapes. She pocketed it and inspected the rest of the tech that was rather soiled. Then she heard movement, a cylinder rolled and a figure caste a shadow as it moaned. The Red Twi’lek slipped low to the ground, her saber hilt in hand. The Lurker wobbled as it made its way inside, Fatalia as the legs stepped into the door frsme acrivated her blade, cutting through its legs and making it fall on its face with a moan, she then using her boots speung on top and stabbed the head befofe its muffled shriek could be raised to air.

She wiped off her boots, and stood above the dead.

One down.. many more to go.

Ghosts don't wander the galaxy revisiting their old battles, do they? Fiolette wondered as she surveyed the abyssal sea of the black void. How many years had it been? A hand to her jaw as she looked away from the viewport and stepped past the droids that manned the bridge. Fiolette felt the burn of the ink in her skin, the very alchemical ink that Taeli Raaf Taeli Raaf so delicately placed there decades ago. What a difference forty, fifty years makes? She sighed and ran her hand along the railing of the command center on the bridge of the Warspite. Anoat had been where so many lives had changed, and almost none for the better. Anoat, Bespin, and Hoth had been where the First Order and the Galactic Alliance fought one another.

She could recall the moment she found out the Galactic Alliance had invaded. Fiolette had taken command of the 6th Fleet. She made sure to get orders out to Rausgeber, Veers, and other of the First Order's naval officers. Fio closed her eyes and for a moment she was back there. Back ordering those around her, and making a hasty defense out of what she had. It would be one of the last battles that Fio would fight on behalf of the First Order. For the longest time she denied it to herself, denied that she had betrayed them, convinced herself that she had only moved herself to warmer waters.

The writing was on the wall, the First Order had spread itself so thin while trying to both expand its territory and defend itself against the Galactic Alliance's constant invasions. When Fio opened her eyes, the sharpness of breath reminded her that she was there nearly fifty years later. Once again the ink on her skin burned, Taeli. The older woman pushed it out of her mind and managed to get to the command chair and sighed. Staring at the spot where an old station once sat, where the Kuragin had once been. One of her many pet projects within the First Order, was nothing more than memory. A memory that would fade with the solar winds.

Terraforming and planet restoration weren't exactly his personal area of expertise, oddly enough nor was planetary desolation despite such being a common fate of many worlds that had stood against the Sith in the past. The scale of such an operation was simply foreign to him and as of yet he hadn't bothered to attempt such a grand design as to modify an entire world. Yet being the key word of course.

The toxic and poisonous atmosphere of Anoat was potent enough to choke even himself if he chose to forgo his usual mask, a potent and deadly concoction that had kept the world uninhabitable in any meaningful sense for some time. For obvious reasons this outstanding issue had to be resolved if the world was going to be of service like the many others that already adorned Sith space. Given the nature and scale however no single Sith could resolve the toxin problem alone, unfortunately.

Due to the relatively close proximity of Faldos to Anoat however, the Inquisition could still be among the first to make an attempt at the great issue. Tibanna gas extractors and a freighter to haul them had been purchased from spare stock on Bespin and rushed to be put to use in Anoat's atmosphere. More were on the way but the dozen already in action were proving that while not an insurmountable obstacle, the toxin would not be so easily removed.

Therefore Darth Strosius had to unfortunately admit that the issue was beyond his capabilities at the moment, especially for a world that may not even be of use to him in the grand scheme of things, and as such a call for aid had to be put out. If nothing else then he'd be among the first ones to have a solution so that would get him a good position within the talks to come. What he hadn't been anticipating was for the Emperor's Executioner to take an interest in his little operation.

"Lord Lechner, a pleasure as always." The masked man greeted with an even tone as the door to the meeting room opened, idly gesturing to the empty chairs around the table that he sat at the head of. "Welcome to Anoat." He cast a glance at his apprentice at his side, a subtle nod of his head towards the Wolf serving as an indication for her to keep a close eye on the other Sith. The very short and rushed summary of what he knew of the Executioner should still be fresh in her mind but words and tales often paled when the focus of them stood before you.

It was as the sound of Ali- Darth Strosius Darth Strosius ' words hung over the rafters, that the side room opened, and another masked individual entered the meeting arena, a mask that was the replica of his famous ancestor's, yet modified with the necessary equipment to survive the air outside this base that Ali- Darth Strosius had secured for them.

As much as both he and his battlebrother operated separately far too often, there were just as many cases where they operated together. There was strength after all in cooperation.

But too there was another factor of another grave importance, perhaps it was not the intention of their Mistress for it to be like this, but they were still the two apprentices of Darth Ophidia, and though one was far more... explicit, while the other far more implicit.

Together, they would bring the galaxy to its knees.

Admittedly, they had to survive to do that, still little more than small fry within this Sith Empire filled to the brim with giants and immortal tyrants.

It would be co-opting them, cooperating with them, keeping their attentions on each other rather than the small, irrelevant fragments and remnants of the Tsis'Kaar that would keep them alive, keeping them able to grow in strength and prosperity.

Such would not happen if his battlebrother's foolish overt hostility against the powers that be continued.

Such that when he heard of the arrival of Gerwald Lechner Gerwald Lechner , the Emperor's Executioner, that he knew very much capable of executing that title, he knew his presence here was altogether far too necessary, beyond what support he wanted to grant his battlebrother in this scheme to terraform this world. Something that though he was very interested in.

Well, it had not been too long since his encounter with the Emperor's Executioner within his own palace on Alvaria.

It had not been too long since those reports... of the Emperor's Executioner burning through the Tsis'Kaar worlds during the Ouroboros Crisis.

He was not going to risk anything.

Not here.

Not now.

"Darth Strosisus" He offered with a nod, towards his old appre-... his old friend, before gazing down to meet the eyes of Revna Revna , of House Marr, a smile beneath his mask they could not see, "Cousin," He said simply, before turning towards the Emperor's party, though of course, the Emperor would never denigrate himself by appearing personally.

When his ever-loyal and capable dog would serve the purpose.

Malum may have once considered that an insult, however, no longer, indeed, when with the Emperor in his Palace, it was his Executioner, and his Empress, that were his closest links to him.

And while the latter confused him heavily, the former, even if certainly distrusting him... well the distrust made him far less confusing.

Who knew if he would need the Emperor's protection for all that would come next?

And the Executioner's presence would serve certainly well enough for that.

"Lord Lechner, a pleasure to see you once again," A voice emotionless, a nod to show respect, but that was all, as he moved to stand next to the table, the raven perpendicular to both the bat and the wolf.

Miraage’s shuttle came out of hyperspace like a knife in the dark. Her view screen saw a battlecruiser in orbit as the intell had promised. She had received orders to board it and so she hit the thrusters and closed the distance, she did not open fire, to do so against a class ship like that was suicide. Besides she had to confirm the target was on board.

Her ship flew up to the hangar, which was sealed. Getting entry was not an easy task, especially for an assassin. So she opened a channel, and did her best,
“This is Darth Miraage of the Sith Order seeking permission to board.”

Direct, not something she preferred. She went over the scenarios in her head. If permission was granted, how to get to the bridge where the target most likely residing. If they opened fire on her, she could end planet side in a mess. Or if unlucky blow into millions of pieces by a well aimed rocket. It was a gamble to be sure, but this was the job.

Fiolette looked over at the monitors. One lone Sith Lord, and from the fact that they were telling rather than showing. "Not, Taeli's." She commented and rose to her feet from her command chair. "Please, by all means, although you'll have to tell me which cowardly Sith Lord has decided to send you to do their dirty work." It may have been decades since Fio had been part of any Sith organization but she knew which ones were the bold and daring, which ones were the cunning, and which ones were more likely to send someone else to do their work for them.

The old Warspite hummed, and Fiolette smiled she had one ace up her sleeve. The Warspite wasn't just the ship that had witnessed the Kuragin, this particular ship was the Hellspite. The very ship that had liberated her from the Nether. So whoever sent the poor thing to her door step was digging in the wrong direction as far as Fiolette was concerned.

The Knife was admitted into the hangar.
Miraage thought to herself, “that worked?”
The Assassin’s ship set down and to hee amazement there was no troopers, no guard with pointed blaster. She descended the ramp in her black cape and saw busy about was droids, none of them HKs or sentry models. Still Miraage kept her hands close to chrome of her twin saber hilts, appearances could be deceiving.

Wading through a sea of workers The Assassin made her way to the halls, with each step she sensed something.. odd, though she could not quite discern what it was.

At last she came to a great door, the bridge. There on the other side she considered the moves and counter moves, in her mind seeing her swirl in her black like a shadow snake with twin fangs of Ruby, striking at this Target. When the door opened she should move quickly, not letting a second waist to cut the Captain’s nape. When the door console pinged bad it opened, Miraage saw the hair that fell like red velvet and a uniform and she stayed her hands. She had orders to eliminate her and yet what victory was this? She had no army, all were droids conditioned to work and not kill. Why was she a danger? Miraage wanted answers as well and so she approached with hands stretched out to her sides, a sign she was not going to draw the blades and purchase the victory. What victory would that be anyway?

Miraage halted a few paces from The Target.

“Are you the only soul upon this great cruiser?”
She said this with tinge of sorrow in her tone, for at least she had Darth Fatalia Darth Fatalia who happened to be on the surface and if it came to it would fight by her side against impossible odds.

Darth Strosius Darth Strosius // Gerwald Lechner Gerwald Lechner // Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr // Open

Lord Strosius was a busy man; he rarely rested, and seemingly always had something to occupy his time and attention. And sometimes he pulled his little shadow into his work, giving Revna her own share to keep her busy these days as well. She didn’t complain; she enjoyed watching him go about his business, as she learned much just by observing and listening to him speak and interact with others, and she enjoyed being able to do things for him or on his behalf. More responsibility was being placed on her shoulders now that he had anointed her as his Disciple, and she took it seriously. She didn’t want him to think that he had misplaced the faith and trust he’d put in her when he elevated her.

So of course she had willingly agreed to accompany him while he set about his Inquisitorial duties, discovering that the Sith Order had plans for a planet called Anoat. Her brief research into the place filled her in on the basic information, most notably that its atmosphere was poisoned and those that wished to have any dealings with the planet needed to have the proper equipment or risk lethal exposure to the toxins, as well as deal with the creatures and monsters that crawled across its surface - especially the Lurkers.

What Darth Strosius wanted with Anoat was somewhat unclear to Revna; perhaps he saw value in the toxin that choked the atmosphere, or perhaps he had been tasked with helping prepare the planet for Sith occupation. But no matter the reason behind it, Revna was there to lend some aid should he require it of her, or to simply be his shadow and watch and learn and listen as he dealt with other Sith.

One of those ‘other’ Sith turned out to be the Emperor’s Executioner. He apparently had agreed to meet and discuss with Lord Strosius about plans for Anoat, and the masked Sith had quickly filled in his curious and feisty Apprentice so that she could know something about the stranger before meeting him in person.

Revna was beside the masked Sith at the table when the door to the meeting room opened, admitting the newcomer inside, along with a few others who had accompanied the man. She caught the very subtle nod of Strosius’s head, indicating that the newcomer was, indeed, the Executioner he had told her about. As was proper for a lesser ranked Sith, she held her silence while her Master addressed the other, watching Lord Lechner and others with a very curious but somewhat guarded gaze. She did recognize him a bit; she’d seen a glimpse of the giant and well built man with his signature flowing locks while on a mission with her Master some time ago, where she and Lord Strosius had infiltrated the burial tombs of the Hutts in order to secure a compound known as the Waters of Truth. But seeing the man up close and personal was something else entirely. She didn't know any of the others who accompanied him, so she regarded them with more...wariness.

The doors opened after the arrival of the first group of Sith, and in stepped a very familiar presence; Darth Malum had arrived, in his signature armor and replica mask of his, and now her, great ancestor. He greeted his battle-brother before greeting her with a very informal ‘Cousin’, which brought a small smile to her pale face before it disappeared as quickly as it had come. Malum greeted the muscle-bound Executioner before he moved to take his place at the table.

Revna continued to observe silently. She was curious about what was going to be done about the planet and its toxic atmosphere, and she did hold out some hope that maybe, just maybe, she would be allowed to the surface to put her skills and hunting senses to some good use in exterminating the Lurkers there.

The Inquistoress made her way through the building and saw more Lurkers walking about, they seemed to buzz, a noise that came from their respirators. The trick was ro cut as many down without being noticed for as long as pissiblr. Fatalia waa playing assassin, how amused Darth Miraage Darth Miraage would be! That an Inquisitor was crawling around would have made her lover giggle, which Fatalia admitted made her smirk a little too.

A Lurker peered out a window and Fatalia user Grip to pull it back and choke the life out of it, snapping the neck. The problem was its torch mad a loud clang that made some other Toxic guys stir and a Akk Dog start prowling nearby. Fatalia levitated the Lurker she had slain, and contorted its body to stand at window and moved its head. The puppetry convinced the four Lurkers that came to the scene, but the Hell Hound gave a wiff and it was not so easily convinced.

The Inquistoress decided it waa time to make some noise, ahe took a thermal detonator and stuffed it in chest of the Dead Lurker and dropped it out the window. The Akk sniffed and snarled as the clicking and beeping noise drew it close and then boom! The ball of flame rose, engulfing the shrieking creature, and shaking the two buildings so close ro each other. Fatalia reached the roof tops and jumped over a great gap, some Lukere giving chase, some fallling in their attempt to jump.

Fatalia dropped on the ground and heard a growl, The Akk she had dropped the bomb on has a blacked side of its blood orange face. She snapped her red blade and dodged as it lunged with its jaws into the wall. Rising she cut a Lurker at knees, and then tossed them at the Akk as it charged, the Lurker thrown into air as if a Reek Bull had hit it. She rounded the corner and ducked into what appeared to be an assembly warehouse with old refinery gear. She went to some crates as she heard a clamor behind, the dank Hound was in hot prusuit. The Inquistoress leapt with her power up the two tall crates of yellow, the Akl smashing into it. Lutkers began to come out of the wood work, firing some bolts from their slugthrowers. Fatalia was beginning to think she had made a big mistake going lone wolf.

Fiolette had her back to the person who entered. Whoever had entered asked if she was the only living soul aboard the ship. She contemplated the answer and spoke plainly, "in a manner of speaking." The red head turned to look at the person who was bold enough to board the ship. Fiolette narrowed her gaze and eyed the being. Then there was a scoff, while not completely Force sensitive Fiolette knew enough of the Force and had been in its presence enough to know. "Which coward do I have to thank for your visit?" She walked away from the overly dressed, costumed person in front of her.

"Please do make yourself comfortable, I don't get visitors very often," her voice faded away as she headed for her ready room, "might I fix you a drink? Whiskey? Vodka?" The old Admiral made herself an old Galidraani Fashion and reemerged from the ready room with her own drink in hand. Dispatching a droid to fetch whatever it was her unexpected guest wanted. "You can't be associated with ... what's his name, is it Empyrean? Certainly not Carnifex, Force knows I knew him and his wives well enough."

She took a drink of the old fashioned, the bittered brandy settled warmly as she nursed it. "Please, do entertain me with whatever nonsense has brought you here." The century-old woman took her seat on her command chair, she crossed her legs one over the other.

The Assassin found the Woman amenable if a bit off putting in some of her sentiments.
She responded to the first quiry,
I am afraid ths contract did not mention a name. Though iit was stamped by Higher Ups.”

The offer of a drink was enticing, but she did not trust drinks, too easy to lace the liquid with poisons or other agents. Instead she took a syringe with a cocktail that appeared orange and poaced it in her neck. As she presses down, her pupils dilated as the Spice flooded into her veins. She hated to admit she was becoming dependant on her special cocktails. What had started as a augment for combat now was bleeding into hours when she was not cutting throats. She felt her hands tingle, and hee heart race, she became aware of her surroundings if out of her body.

No thank you, I do not drink.
At the inquiry about her allegiance there was some threads of information, she knew Empyrean and Carnifex. Which meant she had a history, one she would pry into if she could.

I have no speech, my blades speak for my purpose. You spoke of Emperor Empyrean and my Lord Carnifex..
She had recently joined the Kainite to seek a opportunity to join the elite assassins called The Shikkar. Was this mission a test? She had no idea, everything was very cloak and dagger. She had to admit if this was some kind of test, she was failing by letting the Madam speak. The objective was to silence the target by a stroke in the jugglar or a stab in the “sweet spot” in the base of spine. But Darth Fatalia Darth Fatalia had begun to teach Miraage to be more than a knife, to think and ask questions. She had rubbed off on her.

“.. what do you know of them! The Emperor and Lord Carni?

Welcome to Anoat.

Gerwald nodded, careful not to reveal anything. He did not need the others knowing each world the Sith found to extend their reach had been visited and the most precious of items taken into his care. The wolf was building something for himself, and there were only three who truly knew it. As of yet, Gerwald could not separate his intentions from his mistress. The Echani was owed much, and while he intended to allow her to keep his loyalty, the wolf had to rise above her influence as well.

He needed to be his own influence within the Order.

Their other guest arrived shortly on his heels, but not before the wolf found the blue eyes of his counterpart’s apprentice surveying him. He had seen her before, but they had yet to officially meet. Perhaps the apprentices would be sent to the surface to show their skill while dealing with the Lurkers on the surface which threatened to prevent Sith presence on the poisoned world.

His eyes looked at Malum. Both he and Strosius had donned masks. Whether it was an assassin trait, or something knew, Gerwald did not know. He did not care either. Those who hid their faces lacked the control required to remain stoic enough as to not give anything away. The former Lord Commander had been trained by Srina Talon in this game, making his face mask enough.

Gerwald watched as Malum took his place at the table before following suit.

“Gentlemen. I do believe this is the first time the three of us have had this kind of opportunity together. And in case there are those who think I am here as an executioner… unless either of you give me a reason to be… your heads are safe.”

For now.

“Today I am simply here with the same interest as everyone else. If we can reshape a planet that has been long forgotten what boon does that make for us? What new resources will be ours because of it?”

and a little of others
Anoat... it certainly brought back memories. She remembered the wars fought between the first Alliance and the First Order throughout the Ison Corridor, the opening salvos of hostilities and the station that had been inadvertently destroyed. As the hyperspace tunnel to the poisoned planet began to come to an end... she felt the faint prickle from something she had long suppressed.

The ink on her arm, hidden by cloth and illusion and once signifying a bond, was burning ever so slightly. How long had it been now? Close to thirty years since Fiolette Yvarro Fiolette Yvarro had served her the divorce document and vanished with one of her daughters and her son. Thirty years since she had seen either Aerys or Iaacen. Thirty years of not truly knowing what was going on in their lives or even where Fiolette had taken them. She shook her head. It was a distraction for now, but she had been certain Fiolette had died. But then the veil between the living and the dead was ever so thin since 844. No, there could be time to handle that and get answers later.

Anoat and its potential beckoned.

The Sith had turned their attentions to the region, and that included her. If the jostling within the Order was starting to grow as much as she expected, it was time to become more active in the affairs and expansion of their new empire. Anoat had long been poisoned, whether it by pollution or gases unleashed by unscrupulous prospectors, and it had rendered the world mostly uninhabitable. Her project out in the Centrality was going along well, and her connections with the growing confederacy around Kesh meant refining terraforming and restoration technologies would be important for her.

A small fleet of Aurora Industries ships would drop out of hyperspace above Anoat, centered around four Gagazet-class Manufactory Vessels. The large mobile factories would be useful in extracting and analyzing the poisonous atmosphere, along with the internal production facilities and workers they carried. More importantly, there were the connections she had that could draw more sophisticated assistance to restoring the world.

"Well?" she asked as they regarded the world before them, turning to one of her Adepts.

"Reports are that Darth Strosius Darth Strosius tried to handle the terraforming on his own with some tibanna gas extractors and freighters from purchased from Bespin, but the project may have been larger than anticipated. Gerwald Lechner Gerwald Lechner , the Emperor's Wrath, recently arrived along with Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr for discussions on the project. A command center was established planet-side."

Strosius, she just had to sigh at that. He had refused her offer to work together by the implicit means of not meeting with her on Erilnar, but perhaps that could be rectified today. Their arrival in system would no doubt have already been alerted to the gathered Sith on world, and there was no point in delaying interactions.

"Begin bringing the vessels into the atmosphere and start extracting. Locate the disaster sites where the mining accidents broke open the planet. I suspect that will be the larger source of the pollution still escaping into the atmosphere. I'll go meet with the others and see what their plans are."

"Yes, milady."

Closing her eyes, she located the three signatures and that of Revna Revna through the currents of the Force. With a step forward and a twist of the Force, she disappeared into purple and black smoke to reappear on the surface. She wore no mask, confident in her powers of the Force through Breath Control and other means of detoxifying herself she learned among the Jedi, to protect her as she appeared outside the command center and announced her presence. A surprise guest, she was sure as she entered as Gerwald spoke.

"A truly exciting prospect, Lord Lechner." She would smile towards the others, "A good day to you, Lord Malum, Lord Strosius. Revna, isn't it?"

Fiolette chuckled darkly as she nursed her drink. "What a fool you are," she had to laugh as she set the drink down. Here was was someone who likely called themselves a Dark Lord. Having taken a contract not knowing who issued it, why and for who it was for. She let her tongue sweep over the front of her teeth, right along the top row. Then the person seemed shocked that Fiolette knew of the Emperor and of Carnifex, and again Fiolette chuckled darkly. She glanced down at the burning ink on her skin her mind wandered a moment to the woman who placed it there. Fiolette flicked her gaze back toward the would-be murderer.

"Take a contract, have no knowledge of your target, nor wonder who would issue it." She scoffed, "truly without guidance your order has gone to shite." Fio knocked back the last of her drink. "From the higher ups, there is no such thing, if someone wanted me dead from your order. I would already be dead, I am nothing more than a ghost." Rising from her seat. Fio's boots hit the ship's durasteel plating, "Empyrean was worming his way into power when I last left the Empire."

"As for Carnifex," she looked over at the poor wretched soul before her, "I knew him quite well, was on a first name basis with his wives."

"So then, child, tell me - what did you wish to gain from vanquishing a ghost?"

The Assassin did not rebuke the title of fool. She had trusted the system, that through loyalty she might earn a coveted spot ij the Shikkar. Then she was confronted with a realization, what if she was a peon in cog being nicked around? What if this woman was right?

She then regaled Miraage which persohao sentikenrs about the sorry state of the Sith Order, and how she was on personal first name basis with Lord Carnifex. She could be bluffing and demoralizing her with the ain of surviving, but jer final crecendo of killing a ghost belied something else.

The Assassin decided pn a course of acfion she had never done nefore. She took her twin sabers and dropped them on cart with the goass decsntore of alchole, the metal hilts rolling and clanginf against the glass. She then took a glass and poured some Vodka into it, took her mouth piece off, and drank. Not a wise considering pairing fermented drink with Spice could have adverse effects.
Then she lowered her hold tp reveal raven black hair, and filled another glass of the burning liquid.
She then turned to Fiolette Yvarro Fiolette Yvarro and asked,
You wanted ro know what is to he gained by killing a ghost? The truth.. it would be spectracide. I am nothing.. invisible.. and I am seeking to become more so with the promise of a post.. a dangled carrot that probably will remain hanging long after I am gone..
She downed another glass of that searing clear drink.
Truth is all I care about.. its down there..
She pointed at the view screen, showing the planet below.
And even that probbaly will be lost in the name of the glorious Cause..” She coughed, choking a little.
They dangle destiny.. promise purpose.. and in the end you are phantom they call for invasions like this till you go back into the tomb to wait for another haunting.. yes I am aware I am using your analogy rather broadly..
She beltched and let put a giddy laugh.
You know what really.. drives me mad.. in the end it doesn’t matter.. we take systems, we lose em like marbles.. nothing changes for long.. but we have to do it.. what else is our dark dance for? There is no hope.. just the bitter reality that we will fade into nothingness.. all we can grab is a little relief here and now..”
She sipped some more Vodka. She felt the buzz now, she liked it, and yet even in this intoxicated state she could fillet the pretty red head into a nice looking salmon shape.

Darth Strosius Darth Strosius // Gerwald Lechner Gerwald Lechner // Taeli Raaf Taeli Raaf // Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr // Open

Revna’s gaze caught that of the Executioner’s, and she held it without fear until he turned his attention to Darth Malum and she watched as everyone took their seats as the larger Sith addressed both her Master and her Cousin, stating his reasons for coming to such a meeting. The little woman observed the interactions, the body language and postures, and listened to the tone of voices when people spoke. She caught the very subtle words of caution buried in Lord Lechner’s words to both Darth Strosius and Darth Malum; if they behaved and didn’t attract the ire of the Emperor, then his Executioner would have no reason to put them down.

But it did make Revna wonder…what she would do if that situation ever occurred? Did she stand aside and not get involved? Did she stand alongside her Master to defend and fight back against the Executioner, should he come to take her Lord’s head? Or that of her Cousin’s? Would she be struck down simply by association to them?

Her internal musings vanished when she felt something shift in the Force, felt as if something or someone was looking at or sensing her with invisible eyes. It was such a subtle feeling that most others might have missed it, but Revna was becoming more and more sensitive to such things. Her eyes shifted to the door and she tilted her head slightly as she felt a presence arrive and moments later, the door opened again to reveal yet another Sith who’d come to join in on the meeting.

Revna recognized her instantly, and she tensed slightly beside Lord Strosius as her expression became more wary as the newcomer commented on Lord Lechner’s words, before greeting the rest of them.

Yes, milady. I am Revna.” the young Disciple replied, her voice neutral in tone, despite the tension she felt in the moment.

She cast her wary look at the masked man beside her; the last time they had encountered this woman…Lady Raaf if she recalled right…it had almost ended in a fight between the two, a fight that had been avoided when Revna had appealed to her Master to restrain himself. He had relented…but he’d been so angry. She didn’t blame him for his ire either; she’d been rather angered by the turn of events herself (they’d been so close to victory…) - but keeping his, their, community safe and hidden was far more important to her than the man’s pride and personal vendettas against other Sith.

Hopefully this meeting didn’t descend into violence, but that might be asking too much as the meeting room continued to fill with volatile Sith of various strengths and opinions. If they all left this room in one piece and with somewhat of an agreement on what to do next for this planet…it would be a damn miracle.

A quick glance to the side confirmed the timely arrival of Malum to the meeting, albeit slightly after the Wolf's own entrance. At least if words gave way to blows then he'd have some additional hand in putting down the Executioner. Provided that the Heir of Marr's hesitation didn't cloud his actions like usual anyway. "Darth Malum." He returned the nod before his gaze shifted back to Gerwald, not even seeming to notice the other guests filing in around him.

For now he'd ignore the barely concealed threat in order to keep the peace. But only for now. "You raise an excellent question Lord Lechner, for what is to be gained from this rock of poison that we cannot find elsewhere?" A question that Darth Strosius himself had wondered even as he placed the requests for the gas extractors to be purchased and hauled to the world to begin their work. As he opened his mouth to reveal the answer that he had come to though, he paused. His head cocked to the side as something familiar and yet unwelcome flickered across the back of his mind tight before the sudden entrance of the enigmatic Taeli Raaf herself.

Of course the moment after she stepped inside he received an update from the communications center that her ships had been detected, a warning that was decidedly too late. "Lady Raaf how...unexpected." As one hand opened in what could be considered an invitational gesture, the other dropped down to his side and quickly found the hilt of his lightsaber there. His fingers wrapped around it, silently pulling it from his belt with his thumb hovering over the activation switch as he regarded the new arrival with an incline of his head.

He didn't ignite the blade yet but it was ready the moment that he'd have need of it. Courtesy and etiquette be damned, he would not suffer another interruption to his plans by the Lady of Secrets. He had half a mind to mention her grandchildren already in order to banish her from his view but given the mixed company he decided against it. Better to keep that particular card close to his chest for now. "I do hope you've come to join us in our endeavor rather than stifle it this time, yes?"

He was here for one reason and one reason only. Pay. He had tried to remain on the outskirts of things for so long now, but as his old fleet had split apart into nothing leaving him with only his prized flag ship, manned by a skeleton crew… the former Admiral found himself in a spot that felt familiar to him. One where you dug everything up by yourself. Oh he would find a way to reach back to where he had been before, but to do that he had to keep the Phylarchy going. He had those who had stayed loyal out doing mercenary jobs in various other systems… while he… well… he did what he could here.

The lab he had set up to study what made these beings tick… was crude to say the least. Finding the pain threshold for the Lurkers, made them easy to experiment on in other ways or turn them into monstrosities that he could turn around and sell. Their Akk Dogs could be trained or even better… turned into Chimeras. He had not yet gotten down the process, except on a few that huddled in cages, their lives ticking away as they didn't survive long. Ah well… no matter… there where plenty more where that came from… at least there would be until he heard a noise.

The noise of destruction, but not only that, it was caught up with extensive use of the Force. Charles only had to reach out and feel it softly for him to see what was there and he sighed softly. Hand reaching down to his belt to make sure that his sabers where at his side before regarding his current subject, "Don't go anywhere… I will be back soon." It was not like they could, he had cut the tendons in any muscle group that would allow them to run off.

As he made his way towards the door leading out into the rest of the ruins, suppressing his Force abilities, if only for a moment when an explosion rang out. He removed his lightsaber from his side and held it in hand after making sure that his sharpened artificial fingernails where fully deployed. Then simply followed the in the direction of the firefight, sticking to the shadows it didn't take long to realize that the Lurkers had surrounded some kind of pray… the Force User in question perhaps. A future ally? A future test subject? He could not be sure, but people tended to be grateful when you saved their lives if only for a moment. It was always something he could manipulate if the situation looked unfavorable.

His large form loomed out of the door about to sneak up on three of the Lurkers when one of their Akk's caught sight of him, letting out a growl, that got its owners to turn. The Former Admiral didn't hesitate for a second, the poor creature suddenly letting out gurgling sounds… as it found its wind pipe and trachea crushed with surgical precision. Though his eyes never left those who turned their guns on him, well… for a second anyway as he slowly approached the looked at each other confused wondering what they had been looking at before. Not that it matter when suddenly he swept forward and removed there heads from their bodies before slipping back into the shadows and tactically regarding the situation… wanting to see how this other handled themselves before he 'engaged them' however that turned out.
