Training continues

"His execution." replied Assadar. "Mixed in with you torturing him. Since I had no information, I decided to go with a fear he already had and attempt to increase its magnitude."

"Why death for a man who already knows he is going to die?" "Using death to create fear in people who do death for a living is not the best way to instill fear."

Arturious paused.

"However weak the reaction was you did manage to invoke one without physically touching your subject." "So you win this round."

Addressing them both.

"Shall we move on then to the next part?" "One I particularly like force grip." "Specifically force choke."

Ah yes, Force Choke, one of the more iconic Sith powers. She had wondered how long it would be till that came up in lessons. Guess she had her answer. This time she would make sure to pay more attention to the instructions before acting.

"I am ready, master." She said, waiting for him to start.

Assadar simply nodded. He was disappointing with his own ability at instilling fear, but he knew that it was a power that would not come straight away. The ability to use the force to choke one's opponents seemed extremely useful, not least as a weapon of terror in its own right.

Arturious looked at them both for a moment before continuing.

"Force grip is a very basic technique taught to anyone with the ability to feel and manipulate the force." "It is one I am going to assume you are both familiar with on at least some level." "Not what you are going to do it focus it a little further specific to a part of the body............ the throat."

Arturious paused.

"We are going to do so with a more overt motion." "That being an extension of the arm, wrist, and hand." "Where your fingers are in relation to your subject it where the force will be applied." "from their it is nothing more than learning the discipline of various degrees of pressure." "The object today is not to kill but to simply constrict airflow until there is a noticeable reaction."

"Any questions?"

Assadar remained impassive, showing no outward reaction. He hoped that this task would be easier than the last--at the very least it seemed to be much simpler. Still, it was completely new to him--he was proficient at telekinesis, but applying force to such a small area was something he had not yet attempted.

He stepped forwards after a moment of reflecting on what needed to be done. Although he had technically won the previous contest, that had been by his opponent's blunder and not his own prowess, and Arturious was most certainly unimpressed. Words would no longer avail him--action was now required. Assadar picked on a different victim this time--perhaps the last one was unlucky. He could see fear in the man's eyes; choking was something of a signature move for the Sith. Perhaps Assadar would instill more fear this way than by trying to artificially implant it into his victim's head--so long as he could pull it off.

"Please, not me." said the man, desperation clear in his voice. "Do it to him!" He added as an afterthought, pointing to the man besides him.

Assadar smiled grimly. 'A coward', he thought. 'Perfect'. The man was already short of breath and visibly worked up--that would make things easier. Besides, Assadar had no qualms with torturing a man who would so easily betray his comrade. Without any further hesitation, the young Sith extended his arm and slowly clenched his fingers into a gripping position, reaching out through the force and trying to close his grip around the man's throat. Observing no reaction other than the man's increasing panic, Assadar tried to focus harder, staring intently at the man and willing his airway to constrict. He searched his mind for memories of anger and hate, allowing the anger to boil up inside him and trying to channel it all towards the condemned soldier's neck.

Hidia raised her eyebrow as the other apprentice stepped forward and started before the master had said to begin. If she had learned anything from the last mess up, it was to wait for clear instructions and make sure they were followed to the letter. As he had only asked for questions and had not invited them to begin, Hidia simply asked.

"Should I begin as well?

Arturious felt the anger surge within Assadar and shook his head.

"It is not about anger or fear Assadar." "It is no different than picking up a toy." "Clear your mind and focus only on the pressure just enough to cause discomfort but not kill."

[member="Hidia"]

Arturious looked at her and smiled simply smiling and motioning with an outstretched arm towards the men in chains.

Assadar attempted to follow the Sith's instructions, letting go of the rage he had built up and simply trying to focus his mind. Instead of attempting to strangle the life out of his unfortunate victim, he slowly began to tighten the force around the soldier's neck, making sure that he always stayed in control . He felt the force flowing through him and wrapping itself around his enemy's throat, not as forceful as before but far more precise.

Arturious smiled as he felt the changes in the approach to a more focused method calm and collected.

"Good, good Assadar." "See how much different it feels, how much more focused it is." "The single most important thing in it to keep ones wits about them." "That is what allows you to act and react to the changes in not only your enemy but the environment around you."

"As you get better you will be able use as much force as needed to kill with it without slipping into the blind rage that is so common with the use of dark side abilities."

Arturious turned waiting for Hidia to begin so he could see what she did first and how she handled the task.

Hidia walked up to the man once she had confirmation to begin. her eyes narrowed as she focused on the task, and she held out her hand to begin the choking of the man. It was simply a light pressure on his throat at first, barely noticeable. She started to tighten her hand and push harder, focusing more and more on one thing and one thing only, choking him as hard as she could.

(sorry, was experiencing a bit of writers block, wasn't sure how to word it and whatnot. My bad.)

Arturious watched Hidia for a moment seeing that she was taking to this lesson quicker and a bit better than she had the force fear lesson. Arturious was not surprised as Hidia did seem to be a more aggressive hands on type of person. After a few moments Arturious spoke.

"Good Hidia release him...............you too Assadar." "This lesson is complete you both did very well."

Assadar watched as the man's throat began to constrict, the invisible hands tightening as he tried in vain to wrench them off, his eyes wide in fear. He stood there for a few more seconds after Arturious gave the command before releasing the man, waiting for further instructions.

Arturious looked at them both for a few moments.

"Good, good you both are learning very well." "I think that is enough for now." "Rest and get something to eat." "Come back this afternoon and we will go over the last lesson."

Arturious turns and heads out of the room to do the same leaving the prisoners and their handlers to be alone in the training room.
