Thel's journey to find a master who could help him understand the teachings of the Jedi had brought him to Kashyyyk. This planet was under the control of the Silver Jedi and the surface had various temples where one could learn the Jedi arts. The padawan did not consider himself part of the Silver Jedi Order but they had been welcoming to him and allowed him to undergo training with them. Now, Thel waited outside the Jedi Temple for the Silver Jedi knight who would be helping him with his training. He had not be formally introduced to Finley, the Jedi who would be teaching him, as he was told he would be given chance to make an introduction prior to their session. Luckily, Thel would not be starting from scratch as he had attended a Jedi Order previously for his youngling training and so knew the basics of the Force already.
The weather around the Temple was fair and so Thel did not mind waiting for long. He wore a simple Jedi robe with his newly built lightsaber attached around his waist via a leather strap wrapped around the hilt. As he waited, Thel would smile at each person who entered and left the Temple nearby to him. The Jedi was in a happy mood and was seemingly ignorant to much of the war that raging elsewhere in the Galaxy.
