Braze was agile, and he was fast. He had a knack for reading humanoid body language, but he found droids more challenging to interpret. As he sprinted, he was caught off guard by a sudden shot, too slow to dodge completely, resulting in a grazing hit.

Trying to utilize the cover of trees, he weaved through them, his breaths quickening. Unlike his usual reliance on the Force to sense danger, he now had to trust his own senses entirely. Pausing behind a large tree, he caught his breath, feeling the adrenaline coursing through him.

Unable to effectively attack the droids, Braze knew his best chance was to outpace them, focusing his attention on his path ahead.

Remotes were simple machines and to match that Cyran made sure to give them simple instructions. The remote observed Braze rush back behind a tree but did not pursue the boy. Instead moving along in a seemingly predetermined path. The padawan may be able to deduce that it would return to the same spot after some amount of time.

“Wow, you made it farther than I expected!” The zletron’s voice called out from above. Hovering above the treeline and peering down at Braze. Standing upon his ultralight repulsor craft Sky Striker 5000, like a surfer riding currents in the air instead of on water.

“Remember Braze, this is a test for your reflexes. Not caution. So keep up your momentum!” The bounty hunter added, wanting to make sure Braze maintained the energy they were putting out. All this teaching and mentor stuff was still pretty new for Cyran. He wasn’t even sure if any of his lessons were good and if this apprentice of his would retain any information or skills. In some ways he wondered if he was needing to learn along side Braze on how to do all this to decent degree.

The half-Echani glanced upward, his breath coming in light pants as he squinted at the scene above him. What he saw was all the encouragement he needed to press on. With renewed determination, Braze darted back down the mountain path, pushing himself to the limits of his speed. He maneuvered swiftly, darting and weaving past trees with practiced agility. The path before him was anything but straight—riddled with turns, twists, and obstacles that demanded his full attention and skill. His every move was precise, calculated to shave seconds off his descent while ensuring he remained one step ahead of whatever might be on his trail.

Watching Braze once more take off Cyran straightened his posture on his small repulsor craft. Crossing his arms and smirking to himself. Glad to see that his student was getting back to giving it their all.

Running down an unfamiliar mountain side was hard enough. There was plenty of natural hazards to trip up and throw off Braze. Fallen trees, high roots, rocks, uneven terrain. All numerous little hazards that could prove detrimental if not properly avoided. Then of course there were the traps and droids he had to look out for.

The echani boy could see another old pit droid looking out along the path. Seemingly tilting their saucer shaped head and photoreceptor from behind a tree as to watch Braze rushing downhill. Across from them was another pit droid doing the same. The two of them have set up a simple net trap to try and capture the padawan. Set up in such a way that presented itself as the most clear and safe passage. Only to have the trap spring into action once the boy was over it and hoist him up into the air some. That’s only if any of it worked of course…
