After @[member="Yusan Fenn"]’s comments, Daella turned to the Padawan that came to train.
“Bring a training dummy to me, Alerah,” requested Daella.
In less than a minute, the girl was able to run off and pulled a two meter tall training dummy to the circle. Since it was on wheels that could lock, the Padawan had no difficulty in moving it.
The dummy had small metal poles sticking out of its sides that represented arms. Daella turned a knob on her lightsaber - the same one she touched just before the quick spar with Alerah. Then, Daella lifted up her lightsaber slowly toward the dummy. She lightly touched the dummy’s arm. She continued to push the blade effortlessly through the arm and cut it off.
One the metal pole fell with a clang on the ground, Daella turned to Alerah and told her, “Put it in your log that it was myself, not you, that did this.”
Turning back to Yusan, Daella explained, “The moment your lightsaber touches the opponent could mean the end of the battle. Control is more important than strength as the blade can cut no matter the speed or angle of the blade itself.”
Deactivating her lightsaber, Daella then gestured with an open palm to claim, “I’m just a weak girl. Everyone is stronger than me. There’s no way I can overpower my opponent or move faster. But if I move my body just a few inches in one direction and twist my hips, I can make my lightsaber touch the opponent and move it around their blade. So long as I can touch them, I can win despite my lack of strength.”
