Travels

Calder was, unfortunately, not all to use to being on a smaller ship. His large size made him have to squeeze through some of the doorways and he often stayed in the center chamber so he could at least stretch. The Beorni sat in the center, his legs crossed and his eyes closed as he mediated, a trick he learned from the Jedi. Around him the air was noticeably colder with small flakes of snow occasionally falling.

@Ailuros

She was not one to sit still for long, but Ailuros has been among Jedi before and understood their own need to do this. Her ship was large enough for both of them, but the beds not so much. It could fit six Trianii and feed them for a year, so Calder was only a little larger than she was. Not even twice her size so fit fine in most ways.

"So I found out where to go. A place called Ord Mantell. Mean anything to you?"

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

"Not that I can think of." Calder spoke up, opening an eye to glance over to [member="Ailuros"] . He had slowly been getting use to her usual attire, but he glanced away soon enough with a faint blush forming on his cheeks again. The Beorni simply couldn't help it. "What sort of planet is it?" Truthfully he hand't been to many planets since finally leaving Midvinter a couple years back. In fact, when he met the Cat it had only been on the fourth planet he'd seen.

"All the information I have is in this envelop."

Holding it out to him, she had known him long enough to tell he was still adjusting to her lack of clothing and an idea came to her. Provided he accepted the package she held out, she would walk over to her bunk and pick her belt up from where she kept it.

Placing it just above her hips, it showed off her figure all the more and wasn't what she thought of.

"I can wear my belt. It is clothing if it makes you more comfortable."

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

Calder took the envelop in his hands, pulling out some of the sheets to read over the information [member="Ailuros"] handed him. "A warmer planet then? I'll be sure to keep Icehammer close so I don't melt." The Beorni continued to read for a little bit until the cat spoke up again, pulling his gaze from the notes to her again. "You don't actually have to wear clothing you kn-" He stumbled over his words as he saw just the belt, immediately turning his gaze back to the papers. "It's uh. You look nice."

"It is a warmer planet than yours for sure, but I think it would probably be similar to Trian."

Shrugging her shoulders slightly as she was putting her belt on. When he started to mention she really didn't have to wear anything, the tip of her tail swayed in happiness. Not even bothering to finish buckling the belt together, she let it drop and went to give him a hug.

"Clothes are so uh....constricting and they pull my fur."

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

Calder only ended up blushing brighter as [member="Ailuros"] hugged him, though he did return the hug. Admittedly with some hesitation. It was certainly difficult for the Beorni to keep it friendly and polite. Once she let him go he quickly moved to pick up his hammer, clearing his throat to try and take his mind off of how nice she smelled. "Ah, that doesn't seem too bad then. The last time I went on a warm planet I nearly melted where I stood. Beorni are definitely built for the cold, and certainly not for the warmth."

"Isn't your fur layered to help regulate your body temperature?"

Since she needed to actually wear something, Ailuros started putting clothing on. First it was a body suit and then actual armor. When it came time to put a helmet on, the cat was looking quite miserable.

"All for a job, need to remember that."

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

"You know, you don't have to wear all that much. I myself really have this breastplate and some basic covering of the midsection." He waved at his own outfit as an example. Part of him was relieved that [member="Ailuros"] wasn't walking around without clothing, but that same part immediately hated itself upon seeing how frustrated the cat was about it. With a sigh he stepped over to her, setting a hand on her shoulder.

"When we're done we'll get you out of that, yeah? I don't wanna see you miserable."

"I actually sort of have a mission on Ord Mantel. You see I need to pretend I'm a Mandalorian and will be going by the name of Parja Wren. Imagine..a feline using the name of a bird. But they are a small clan I guess and me using their name shouldn't cause too much trouble or raise questions. All the information of my mission is in that package though."

As they were still in the process of learning about each other, Ailuros had never mentioned who she was working for. Having taken lessons in fighting and the Force from a sith lord, but had not yet chosen which code to follow, the cat still appeared neutral in that.

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

"Pretending to be Mandolorian?" Calder slowly began to rub his jaw in thought, glancing once again at the paperwork [member="Ailuros"] had given him. He had no idea what a Parja or a Wren was though, so he made no comment on the name. The Galaxy was a vast place and no such birds existed on the few planets he had visited. "Who are you working for anyway?" She had mentioned she was working for someone in the Bathhouse, but he never thought to ask.

Looking over the assignment and how she needed to lie about who she was certainly peaked his interest in who would ask such a thing.

As she was putting the armor on, their conversation was distracting her enough to not be cranky. Giving Calder an almost cheerful smile and nod when he asked his question. Then he asked who she was working for. Ailuros tilted her head to the side slightly and the tip of her tongue stuck out.

"Daxton Bane sent me to Beris to meet somebody and that somebody gave me that paperwork. He gave me a name to go by, this armor and some credits. Then sent me to Ord Mantel. On the way there is when we met."

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

"Sounds like it's rather important. Would you like me to stay on the ship?" Calder put the file away, turning his attention back to [member="Ailuros"] . Was it weird he actually wanted her out of the armor again? Probably. Best keep that to himself. Still, he stretched out, yawning.

"Well, not on the ship. But away from you so you can do your business. I don't want to be in your way after all."

"I'm not entirely sure everything that will required of me while we are here and want your company. Unless you would rather go off and do your own thing."

For just a moment, her demeanor seemed to wilt a little and she was sad at the thought. They had agreed to travel together and Ailuros wanted him to join her. Taking the envelop back from him, she took out what she was going to need from it and moved into the cockpit.

"You won't be in my way and besides, I feel safer with you around."

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

"In that case it would be my honor to accompany you. Any chance to spend time along side you is one I very much would like to take." Calder smiled wide to [member="Ailuros"] , gently setting a hand on her shoulder before following her back to the cockpit. As he said, any chance was well worth it for him to take. The giant bearman would sit in the middle crosslegged, closing his eyes to meditate again until they arrived at their destination. Though not in silence.

"Have you really never kissed anyone? Never even thought about it?"

The cat beamed at what Calder said. Smiling and nodding, it would be clear Ailuros liked the idea of going on this mission with him. Happy he wanted to go with her, she was content with this. Somehow the heat of his touch went through the armor when he placed his paw on her shoulder and for just a moment, she lingered on and leaned into it slightly.

Finally having to move into the cockpit though, she turned her head slightly when he asked if she had never kissed anybody or even thought about it. Shaking her head in answer, she had to think about it a moment.

"No, the boys in my class really didn't like me. Females weren't meant to be warriors I guess even if we are a matriarchal society. So why would I think about kissing them? Maybe with a sword in a dance, but nothing related to making a family. One reason I never settled down and why I was perfect for the mission I was sent on by my people."

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

"I can't see why no one wouldn't want to." Calder mumbled, scratching his chin. A big smile formed as she beemed about him joining her. What ever worry he had about being in her way left. He hefted his hammer onto hus shoulder, glancing around.

"When do we leave, [member="Ailuros"] ?"

Turning her head to look back at him, one of her ears was paying attention to the flight control of the planet below and the other was on him.

"To put it simply, as soon as we land. Just waiting on permission and directions."

Which came through a few moments later and her head turned back around. That ear still turned to Calder as she listened to the controller on the other end. Following his directions, she brought her ship down onto the mucky and muddy looking world.

Letting out a small sigh, maybe it was good she was going to be wearing the armor. Her fur would be a lot cleaner.

"Ready?I just need to figure out how to put the helmet on. Want to help?"

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

Calder let out a small sigh. Swamp waters had a habit of sticking in his fur for weeks. Not something he was looking forward to. Still, it meant being with [member="Ailuros"] . Maybe he could figure out a way to freeze it off his fur. He cracked a grin as she fiddled with the helmet. Gently he patted her head. "A shame you have to hide such a beautiful face. But here."

Gently he brushed down her ears and slid the helm down over her head. He was surprisingly versed in this armor despite wearing a much more primitive style breastplate. "Already I miss seeing your fur. Lets make this quick yeah?"

Like before, Ailuros had a difficult time with her helmet and was trying to wage war on it. This was going to her bane and she knew it. Luckily Calder was there and he rubbed her ears. It brought a purring sound from her as his touch relaxed the tense muscles of her ears.

He got the helmet on easily after that and got it in place. Though he couldn't see her face, fur or any of her other body parts, hopefully he could sense the smile she wore. That little touch of tenderness shown brought a smile and some warmth to her.

"Does the speaker on this work? Yes, it does. I hope the mission goes quickly so I can get out of this armor. Let's go."
