Treads on Carida (Open to Republic Only)

Cpl Walker sat in the back of a rust bucket of a transport ship in full Republic Armor. It was clunky and much heavier than he was used to. Wes valued his mobility and it was something that had not caught up with the Republic Defense Forces. No matter he was just along for the ride. After a few minutes he heard the pilot radioing in to a rather large looking ship as it exited Hyper. Not wanting to get blown out of the sky the pilot radioed the other ship.

"Champion-class Star Destroyer Obi-Wan Kenobi this is Republic shuttle Rustbucket with a squad of Republic Soldiers bound for Carida." "Requesting permission to land on the planet."

Wes cocked an eyebrow when he heard the message muttering to himself. "A Champion Class?" "Well this just got interesting."

He turned to his squad leader.

"Hey Sarge what's a Star Destroyer doing at a routine construction project."

He laughed as the Sarge told him to stuff it waiting to get down to the planet and get whatever it was done so he could get back to some fighting.

Gir took care to quickly return [member="Draco Vereen"]'s salute; it was a sign of mutual respect.

"Thank you for the offer," said Gir, briefly making eye contact with the other soldier, "but I probably shouldn't be, not if I'm flying. I'm afraid I've scared my lieutenant once already today with my flying..."

Gir raptly paid attention to the gungan as he spoke. While he had seen some of his species from the difference, he had never actually met one. Finding out that [member="Jon Jon Nemo"] was senator made him even more curious about the alien in front of him. He had only seen a few senators make their rounds through the Republic itself, especially if it wasn't on Onderon or their homeworld. But the man was glad that Jon Jon was seeking knowledge and forming an opinion based on first-hand knowledge. Gir nodded as he listened to the Gungan speak.

"ArmaTech is one of the premier suppliers of the Republic," said Gir, "and one of our most rapidly growing companies as well. This project, this facility is a chance to help vastly improve our military-industrial complex, especially since we lost of our armor suppliers, a subdivision of Rendili StarDrives, when the One Sith took opportunity of the Netherworld to seize the world from us during that chaos."

Gir briefly turned his attention to [member="Draco Vereen"].

"Master Chief, you wouldn't happen to have any of your company's products nearby to show to the Senator, would you? Alternatively, I could take him up to the Obi-Wan to show him several of them that are used by my marines..."
