Twi'leks, Humans, and Demons

The call ended.

That was it. Taking the device, I threw it towards the couch. Letting it bounce off and onto the floor with a klink. Waving it off, I finished my drink where I stood. All of my gear was on the ship. I was really thinking about just going with my jacket, bracers, a lightsaber, pistol, and maybe my sword. Seeing as how I was more of a militaristic Sith, as well as a bounty hunter, I wanted to keep my options for uses of weapons open. I decided that I would be only wearing that equipment. That is, I made my decision best over two glasses of whiskey.

Moving towards my room, I undressed myself and got into bed. Feeling the warm necklace touching the scars that were there. Rolling over to my side, I fell asleep.

------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, Early Morning, I woke up. Already gearing myself after taking a shower. My still wet hair flooping around as I put it up with a hairtie. Looking into the fashion much like a Samurai uses, I even had a Katana that was hanging from my belt. Saber on the small of my back, and the pistol on my right thigh, I slid my jacket on, and left out the door towards the docking bay.

It took a small walk of about ten minutes. People looking at me. Normally someone wouldn't see a guy carrying a sword, let alone a katana with the hair up and everything. Despite that, I got to the hangar bay without incident. Men were running around everywhere getting the ship prepared. I stood there, watching the men work like little ants. Pacing back and forth, moving all the gear that they had in their rooms back onto the ship. Less than a minute later, I could hear footsteps behind me. As well as feeling the force pulse within the woman, "The ship is named Angel. Carries a good hundred tons of cargo. With the extra packages of defence mechenisums, as well as all the men and gear for making weapons, we have only a little room left over."

I didn't face her. Simply stood there as the final things were being loaded up. "You will be in a room that is across the hall from my own. Men who have not had their fun for a few months tend to get rather... handsy." Offering up my hand to point at the ship, "Welcome aboard."

She was unsurprised when he spoke to her without looking. His force sensitivity was why she was interesed in him after all. Besides, she was likely the only one present with a significantly heeled boot, so force or not, if one were paying attention her footsteps were quite distinctive. She came to a halt besides and an inch or two behind him. The Twi'lek was a master of unspoken communication, one even a Lorrdian could admire. I am by your side but you are in charge, she said, without saying a word.

She eyed the ship, one brow rising slightly. In all honestly, she'd rather expected him to be zooming about the galaxy in a ship he would fly on his own, being an independent loner and what not. This ship and it's crew were.. a surprise, and one that made her re-evaluate her understanding of him.

While her initial reaction to it being implied that she would need protection from mere hired labourers was one of indignation, the Twi'lek could usually be counted upon to be more pragmatic than prideful, and this was one of those times. There were more of them than her. To kill or maim one might irreparable damage relations with the others, and on a ship there wasn't really anywhere to run to. So, perhaps it would be safer for s lone Twi'lek to be by the side of the Master of the ship. This in mind, the indignation was almost immediately squelched, and a smile was chosen instead at his welcome.

"Why thank you. Do I get to know yet where we go beyond just a jungle planet, or not until the course is set?"

Not that it mattered much either way of course, she was going regardless.

No real words were spoken, but there was a slight tension in the air as the woman understood what I meant. All men, traveling for long periods of time without companionship made some people go insane, others, they turned into animals and humped everything that moved. I didn't want that for her as 1) she was going to be trained under me in some shape or form. 2) Being simply a woman, and a Twi'lek. A very fine looking one at that. 3) I really didn't feel like making an example out of my men again.

Unless she felt like she really wanted to do that with someone, She wouldn't be doing anything with my men who were not on the bridge, or the ones I had pointed out to be around her. They had more control, therefore I could trust them. Now as of the topic of our trip, she asked what planet it was, or would I tell her when we were enroute. I smiled and shook my head.

"The planet is Yavin 4. The things hidden in the forests are what I am after. Places so dark that some Sith Lords won't even dare go."

I then looked her over and shook my head. "You have something for protection right? Well if you do or don't I could care less." Motioning for her to follow me, I started to walk up the large ramp as a cargo speeder was passing us to load the last of the supplies up. "I have a gift for you."

Yavin 4. History was not her strong point, but since anyone that graduated from the Academy was expected to be able to hold a conversation on practically anything, and the Twi'lek firmly believed that knowledge was indeed power, she knew some of the basics. The Sith and Jedi had traded the place back and forth for awhile, there'd been a couple major wars, and basically the place attracted conflict quicker than a mouthy Corellian in a bar.

Wonderful.

Not that the bit about Sith Lords worried her. As far as she could tell some Sith Lords were idiots and or cowards, so she saw no reason to concerne herself with where they would or would not go. Besides, most other force users had no common sense. Tell one of them to move a ship and they'd spend all day grunting and groaning and give themselves a brain aneurysm trying to telekineticly move it. She'd just get on the ship and fly it out of the way.

Her face took on the carefully blank expression again for a moment when he flippantly declared that he didn't care if she could protect herself. He could mean that several different ways. No point getting upset about it. When he moved, she followed at his side as they walked up the boarding ramp.

"A gift?"

Her interest was piqued and the previous maybe slight momentarily forgotten. Like any suitable egocentric being, the Twi'lek quite liked gifts.

I smiled a little as we began to walk into the ship. My boots making rather loud footfalls for my size. Her voice asking about a gift was one of surprise. Already and she was going to receive something special. I nodded my head. Producing a lightsaber hilt. Double bladed, and rather worn looking. However, it had been fixed up and was clearly something that someone had used many times. I then handed it to her.

"You are something special. You have a gift of being able to manipulate the force. Seeing as how you can do such a thing to a degree, I thought you might want training to use such weapons. Learn to use your gift so that you can become the next generation of Leaders of men."

I continued walking. Should she accept it or not, I wouldn't care. However if she did, then the road ahead of her was going to be long and hard.
