Two Bright Lights - Trial of Skill - Asaak Tey

Asaak knew Master Ru hadn't thrown everything she had at her - which she was grateful for, because otherwise she would be laying in a heap on the floor, probably babbling incoherently. But she was equally as grateful that [member="Sochi Ru"] had been as creative and had still made it a challenge. Asaak wanted to prove she was ready for what they were granting her and to show that one day she wanted to be as creative as the two women in the room with her.

As the Master got up, Asaak closed her saber, clasping her hands in front of her and bowing in respect. She couldn't help the grin at the praise however. "Thank you Master Ru - I'm just glad to be in one piece! That ball of energy you created..." She shook her head, making a slightly amazed expression with a relieved laugh.

The energy in the room began to feel calm again, the hum of all the creative tactics both Togruta had used dissipating away. There was just one other who's approval Asaak needed and she turned her head to the viewing window she knew her Master was behind.

Rasu's eyes had remained fixed on the ensuing duel, the reflection of sparks and physical force energy splashing the viewing window with bright essences of colour. Her heart melted with pride as she watched her student be swept away and counter the various attacks produced from her fellow Master. Both Togruta had done exceptionally well, and it brought a tear to her eye to see just how much Asaak had grown. Rasu had known of course, that the woman had changed greatly since her apprenticeship had began, all that time back on Coruscant, but to actually see the fruits of both her own and her student's labour suddenly manifest within the majestic performance of the young Togruta, it really set of the beginnings of the waterworks behind the Shi'ido's eyes.

Leaping from her seat, Rasu had to bring her hand up to her face, the great pulsating orb of energy, Sochi had created, blinding the vision of the Master seated in the observation deck. Disbelief melding with her student's as Sochi flung the orb at Asaak, causing Rasu's hands to fly upon the glass panel, closing her eyes as the light became to intense, but her conscious latching onto the Padawan. Rasu had felt the power held within the orb, and she had known that Sochi had released only a fraction of that power upon the other Togruta, and for that Rasu was grateful. The attack had still provided the desired result and it had honestly confirmed the Shi'ido's decision for the completion of the trial.

Making her way to the instrument panel, she placed one of her fingers delicately over the mic, watching, and letting out a amused gasp as she noticed her hands trembling from the recent excitement. Speaking into the small bud, she released her voice over the arena. "Congratulations are in order my friends. That was a truly riveting trial, and I now bring it to an end." Leaving the booth, she made her way towards the balcony, looking down upon the two Togruta, one obviously looking a lot more exhausted than the other. Allowing a warm smile to pass over her lips, she parted them again to speak.

"Master Ru, if the two of us could please discuss the recent trial. I'd like the pair of us to come to a decision while my Padawan freshens up after the strenuous duel." she said, gesturing for Asaak to leave the hall, while the Master's could discuss their ultimate decision. Offering one last smile, Rasu made her way to the ground floor, joining with Sochi in the center of the arena. "Well done indeed Sochi." Rasu said, placing a gentle hand upon the woman's shoulder. "How do you think that went?"

Finding with her lightsaber as it was attached to her attire for today, she could hear the voice of Rasu filling the room through the mics throughout the arena, she stood up smiling at Asaak and prof toy patting her on the back before turning her attention to any part of the room as she continued to listen. They would both watch as the Master descended to the level they had their duel. She would nod at the request of her fellow Councilor, her breath was just minimally heavy. She took acouple of steps to the side as the Padawan would pass by them.

"Oh it was nothing, I was happy to assist, and be apart of this moment with Asaak, you've done exceptionally well with her Rasu." she said smiling.

As she spoke, she tilted her head to the side.

"Well, I think she did great. Her creativity and overall prowess is some of the best I've seen yet. All of the distractions and obstacles I threw her way, she overcame with little effort. I think she's well exceeded the requirements for this trial if I say so myself."

Rasu smiled slightly as she noticed the heavy breathing that was subtly hidden away, a true testament to her Padawan's abilities and skills to have left a Jedi of Sochi's caliber slightly breathless. The Shi'ido was exceptionally pleased with the entire trial, and the final state of the Togruta was the icing on the cake that truly determined the result of her Padawan's trial, for the Shi'ido anyway.

The Master was truly grateful for her friends assistance in the matter, knowing that the trial would not have been as effective had Rasu taken Sochi's place as her student's opponent. The Shi'ido knew herself too well, and would have not given her all had she been forced to clash blades with the younger Togruta in final trials. These tests were set up specifically to challenge and assess the Padawan, and so far they were doing just that.

A smile appeared on the woman's lips as Sochi too, agreed with Rasu's thoughts. Asaak had indeed performed exceptionally, and it was more than clear that both Jedi Master's could easily come to the decision determining the end result of the trial. Asaak would pass. The sheer idea of her student taking the extra step closer to knighthood left the woman feeling slightly giddy. They both had worked so hard to get to this stage and now only four more remained.

"Thank you dearly Sochi, for all you have done thus far." Rasu said as she pulled out her holo-communicator, already entering in her students designation code for her own device. "I'm glad we both are on the same page, and again, congratulations on a terrific duel. You had me on the edge of my seat the entire time." she said with a smile. "I'll go and inform Asaak of the good news."

Turning, she hurried out of the training hall, speaking into the small device as she moved. "Asaak, I'm making my way to your quarters now, meet me there once you've freshened up." Breaking into a giddy sprint, Rasu could not contain her excitement, leaping with joy in the deserted corridor, before coming to an immediate halt. Taking a moment to scan her surroundings, she made sure no one had witnessed the out of character action, as she straightened her robes and continued on her way at a brisk walk, ignoring the sheer heat emanating off her vibrant cheeks.
