Two more chicks under the Raven's wings (Audrey Thénardier)

As usual, Leo and Luna sat right next to each other. They sat on Audrey's left side, with Leo being the closest to her. They both thought for a moment. What were they in the mood for? Well that was obvious: FOOD! They'd barely been able to eat for a week, and they were beginning to seriously feel the side effects of starvation. Neither of them could really choose anything, and they didn't care.
"Erm, We'll have... Whatever you're having."
Luna nodded in agreement. They knew that whatever she had was going to be seriously delicious in their current state.

Smiling at Leo's answer she said "Not very picky, are you? I like that."

It took a few minutes before the dinner had finally arrived: minock stew with a side of patatoes and seeded roles from Ryloth. Given the age of the twins both had their choice of juice, water or soda they wanted. From there Audrey wasted no time in feasting down on her meal. Supping it up and scooping in what bits of meat she could. Though as she ate she still kept a lady-like composure to her. Every now and then she would glance over to the two tines and smirk as she watched them eat. In a way she felt like a distant aunt or realitve that the twins never heard of but needed to stay with. In another sense she had wondered if they would come to think of her as such. Even that made her smirk more.

The stew smelt heavenly. In that moment, all the two could think about was eating. They began scarfing down all that lay before them. It wasn't entirely like animals but it was rather close. After a few minutes, Luna came to her senses. She looked over at her ravenous brother and elbowed his shoulder. He looked up, wiping his mouth and clearing his throat.
"Eh-hem. Um, thank you. The food is delicious."

Even as the boy ate Audrey didn't seemed phased. She was used to seeing such behavior from others at times, mainly her siblings whom she often felt weren't as serious about things as her. Still even as the boy looked up to apologize she chukled in her throat while waving it off.

"No need, Leo." she began. "You're obviously hungry. Please, enjoy." She gestured for him to eat as he wanted while turning her attention to Luna. "Enjoying yourself, my dear?" Knowing her response would be non-verbal she only watched whatever signal the young girl gave before commenting "Not much of a speaker, are you?"

Luna looked down at the table and nodded. Leo looked over at his sister, and then to Audrey.
"She can't talk. Never could, actually. Our family wasn't particularly nice to her because of it."
Leo was the only one out of their parents and their siblings who knew that Luna was telepathic. It was one of her gifts in the Force. She could also heal things, too. He'd been on the receiving end of her talents ever since they were kids. She'd only ever "talked" to him.

"Yes she comminucates with you through the Force." Audrey pointed out to Leo. She looked back to Luna and commented"That's a very rare talent for someone at your age to have." After seeing her response she added "I know what it's like to not be very welcomed by most in your family. Believe me, I didn't get to where I am by being nice. Not all the time at least." She snapped her fingers for a cigar, which was brought to her and lit for her, before she puffed out smoke and said "You won't need to worry, young one. You'll be among more freindlier faces. People who're much like you and your brother. Misfits and outcasts who've all managed to find each other."

They hadn't expected Audrey to know their little secret. Not many really understood how Leo managed to communicate with his sister without speaking or writing. They looked at each other with a bit of surprise.
"Y-you know? About us, I mean?"
The twins weren't at all trained in the Force, which meant that they didn't know how to pinpoint whether or not Audrey was Force Sensitive, or just very observant.

With a smirk and chukle she answered "Call it intuition. The way you look at each other sometimes. And how long in fact. Something just seemes to indicate you know what you're both saying without saying it." Another exhale of smoke before she added "Not to worry though, children. Your secret is safe with me, rest assured of that." Leaning foward she asked "Tell me, though, what exaclty they were after when they began experimenting on the both of you? Some secret in your blood or mind?"

The hadn't given much thought as to the reason why the "doctors" tortured them. But, Audrey might've been on to something. When they were admitted into Galliar, their parents must've told the people there that they were dangerous and crazy. But that couldn't have been everything. Perhaps they knew about Leo and Luna's gifts.
Leo took this new idea into account. He looked at his sister. She nodded, not needing to be told what to do. She took her water glass and spilled it out onto the table in front of her.
"This might be what they wanted..."
As Leo spoke, he reached out his hands and held them a few feet away from the puddle on the table. Every drop of moisture lifted from the table's surface and formed into a kind of bubble in the air. The bubble moved until it was over Luna's glass. It began dripping into it like a small rain shower. Finally, the last drop fell into the glass, and it was as if the table had never been wet.
Next, Leo took the knife next to his plate and made a small cut on his hand. Gently, Luna placed both of her palms over the cut. A small golden glow came from beneath her hands. When she removed them, the cut was completely healed.

Audrey's curiosity perked when Leo began to demonstrate to her both his and his sister's abilites. She sat back in her chair and watched him drump his water on the table, a part of her mind hoping whatever he would do would clean it up. Sure enough he'd shown his abilites to her, creating a water sphere that dripped everything back into the glass. Having this this Audrey rasied his chin, a smile breaking on her face, as she nodded before indicating for him to continue. Next she'd watched as Luna managed to heal his wound with only a thought, another exceptional gift. Convined that both had abilites that some would experiment for, and likely kill for, Audrey puffed another cloud of smoke into the air before finally looking back to [member="Leo & Luna"].

"For two not trained in the Force, you both show exceptional skills. Telepathy. Healing. Telekenisis. I may not be a Jedi but these are the powers one would find from one with enough training. Yet here you both are, only children, who've managed to master those abilites on your own. Interesting. Very, very interestong."

They hoped that was a good thing. They'd really had no trouble with mastering their talents. Leo's affinity for water had been apparent since he was three, when he stayed underwater in the family pool for well over an hour and came up unscathed and breathing. Luna's telepathic communication had been around since she was old enough to understand speech. As for her healing abilities, those came around when she, too, was three, when she found a small dog who'd been horribly maimed by a wild animal and brought him back to full health in seven minutes flat. Neither could explain how they did what they did. It just... Happened.
"There are others like us, right? People who can do what we do?"
A rather obvious question, but Leo was too curious to avoid it.

"Some can do far more." she answered and yet informed at the same time. "I've seen my fair share of what those who wield the force can do. Some can manipulate the elements of the world around them; conjuring illusions or creating lightning from thier fingertips. Others can, in some cases, pull an entire star crusier out of the sky with enough concentration." Thinking on how far people have gone with thier abilites she added "I've seen a man burned almost beyoned repair healed thanks to the force. And some have been able to enter other's minds and change the way they think." At that she smirked, seeing what potential they now had.

[member="Leo & Luna"]

Luna looked at Leo. What if they could do those things, too? Maybe all they needed was a bit of training. She'd love to see her brother master his water talents. And healing on such a large scale was almost too amazing to comprehend.
Leo shared Luna's thoughts. He looked over at Audrey with eager eyes.
"Is it possible for us to learn more with the Red Ravens?"

With a smirk still on her face and her cigar sticking from her lips she answered "I believe so. We have a handful of force users among us. Though I can't say how far they will be able to teach you. We it within my power I would consider taking you on as students myself." She shrugged, however, and added, "Alas, I wasn't granted such amazing gifts as you two." After that she puffed down the last of her cigar before putting the remains in the ashtray on the table. "Did you enoy your meals? Do you both feel better now?"

[member="Leo & Luna"]

The twins nodded in unison. The food was delicious! They couldn't remember the last time they'd had something so filling. Leo smiled, and so did Luna.
"You're lucky you get to eat this way all the time! It was great!"
There was probably a time when they, too, enjoyed perfect meals. But even when they were still living with their family, they hadn't gotten to as much as their siblings had.

She gave a small yawn before saying "Good." From there she stood and continued with "Well I'm off for bed for the night. You're both, of course, free to do what you like from here. In the morning we'll be off." With a final nod to both of them indivually she said "Goodnight." before walking off to her room and, of course, eventually retiring to bed for the night.

[member="Leo & Luna"]

The exhaustion from the entire week began setting in on the two. Bed was the best idea. Leo and Luna stood up with Audrey. as they all went their separate ways, Leo responded to Audrey's goodnight.
"Sleep tight, and don't let the bed-bugs bite!"
Before Audrey could completely leave the room, she would hear a second voice. It did not belong to Leo. In fact, the voice couldn't even be physically heard.
<Goodnight, Miss Audrey. Thank you for everything...>

Having heard the voice Audrey stopped mid-step into the hallway leading to the bedrooms. She looked back, seeing the look on Luna, before realizing it had come from her. She was suprised to hear her "voice" finally, at first having thought it came from her own mind. Seeing that she'd managed to gain the trust of both twins so much had put a smile on Lady Thénardier's face. She finally walked off, taking in this new aspect of the two, before slipping into bed and finally sleeping. As she did she knew what tomorrow would bring for both herself and for [member="Leo & Luna"].
