The Enlightenment Program is a ongoing project created by the Artificial Sovereign for the purpose of propagating Artificial Sentience. While Artificial beings cannot reproduce in a way even similar to organics or in a way that creates a unique beings, the method Ultimatum has decided upon will attempt to remedy the failure.
The Program works on the idea of taking a droid, or non-sentient artificial mind of any form, that has begun to develop, or fully developed, a personality and upgrading it with advanced matrices and additional processes to create an entirely unique Sentience that is based on the droid's personality. In order to avoid potential recreations of the same Sentience, the Program is reliant upon a singular, highly advanced Artificial Being. This being, a creation of Ultimatum, is intended to utilize hypercalculations of a hypothetical nature to, for the purposes of the Program, create entirely unique matrices that cannot be replicated.
This upgrade allows the being to fulfill the requirements for full sentience and are capable of higher thought than most droids and a greater selfawareness. There is generally more reality to their emotions and an ability to follow the concepts of 'fuzzy logic', along with similar additions to their capabilities.
Because this Program is expanding on the hitherto droid's or other's programming database, this necessitates an increase in processing capabilities and memory storage. Therefore, most Artificials created in this manner will require either an updated and specially designed body, or be uploaded to a larger system, usually the HoloNet.
This Program is entirely voluntary and very exclusive, as Ultimatum wishes to avoid the potential dangers of allowing a harmful being from entering the Program. The increase in abilities are directly connected to an increase in threat to similar Artificials.
