Yutan. It was a bustling city-world that was once the Capital to the Galactic Republic. Now it was a part of the Commenor Systems Alliance. Sovereign in it's own right, the Yutanni government had once tried to distance itself from the CSA in the early stages, brought on by corruption and greed. But that was dealt with in a way that Kay wasn't quite proud of, a secret known only to herself and a Sith Lord that she hadn't heard from in a very long time.
Today she wanted to check on things. And not in the manner of a stately visit either. Those types of visits tended to just portray falsehoods rather than what was really going on. So it was in disguise that she travelled, arriving in a common transport. All the other passengers on board were her own agents, her own security staff.
Once the transport had docked outside the city of Yarktu, Kay and the rest stepped outside, their eyes adjusting to the glare of the sun reflecting in the windows of the tall buildings ahead of them. Over time they meandered through the city streets, observing where they've been and where they were going, with no clear destination in mind.
That is until the unexpected happened. The group had wandered into a dead end street, intending on stopping at the market. When what they had thought were windows in the buildings were in fact mirrors that quickly turned and reflected the sun's light in their direction. All of them were blinded, covering their eyes from the glare. Kay's security pushed her into the center of them while they all face outwards in a circle around her.
Then the blaster bolts started firing.
