Uncovering the Past

Something in the way she had said 'final battle' and 'thought bomb' had made Gray shudder. Though he usually didn't bother With the deallings of the jedi and sith, her sirious tone made him actually think of what she told. "A thought bomb? What the Blazes is that? Nevermind, the details aren't important. It sounds bad." Now he regreted not having studied that era as well as he could, back on Balmorra. Though any history texts would likely not contain any detailed history about what [member="Domino"] was mentioning.

As she held her hand on his, he let her pull them to a stop. It was Clear that she was going to say something important. And that she did. Much of what she said was Things Gray either didn't understand, or understood partially. But it was Clear this was important to her, and it seemed it could get Dangerous for many. "Well, if this can be as bad as you say, what use will I have of the Money? And I can see that you want me as an ally if it should come to anything. While I usually stay out and away from jedi and their business, I'll help you. This could be too much even for a jedi" His voice had now grown quite serious, and slightly reflective of sorts.

He turned back to start the speeder again, but stopped and sat looking forward for some Seconds, before speaking. "Despite how it seems, I... I actually care about what happens in the Galaxy. But what can a smuggler do, huh? That's why I stay away from the jedi and sith. Let them do the big Things in the Galaxy, and I'll do what little I can." He thought back on what his father had told him, a short time before he died: 'When something happens, something important, if you can then help in any way, no matter how small.' It wasn't often he could do that, but the times he remembered, he did. "Hey, I think it's time to Call Our 'allies' up now. Just hope [member="Valad Yar"] hasn't recruited the wolf-man [member="Ronak"] to help him With those dark-side-Things." He activated his holocom, and called Ronak up. "Hey wolfy, found anything?"

"Wait! Not so fast! We can't fly!", Ronak howled after the avian who proved a rather terrible guide that did not care too much whether his guided persons could follow at all. At least, it stopped short, when it heard the howl and started to circle at the location it had reached. The scout seemed to be some paces ahead of [member="Valad Yar"], as he was not within arm's reach, when the Shistavanen closed in on the location. A soft crack could be heard on the comm, before [member="Gray Venasir"] 's voice could be heard: "Hey wolfy, found anything?"

Slightly unnerved the wolfman bared his teeth and rolled his eyes, as he heard the nickname which the not fur-bearing humanoids seemed unable to avoid. "Checking out a lead. Haven't found anything yet", he snarled a bit more fiercely than necessary. "Did you have any luck?", the question came between pants from speedily following their guide. His trust in [member="Domino"] 's metallic drones and droids was limited, but the speeder and the droids together were able to cover a larger part of the area than he and [member="Valad Yar"] could on foot.

Valad Yar was quick on the heels of [member="Ronak"] as he sprinted after the bird, his own speed being augmented slightly by use of the Force to keep up with the wolf warrior. He would not fall behind, not now. As he continued on his path, he began to think again of the task at hand. If he could find the specific location of the Thought Bomb, and access the site, he could find what he wanted. The spirits of the long dead had been released, but so much concentrated Dark Side energy would not be dealt with so easily. The concentration of hundreds of Sith spirits at the location would have left marks behind, marks of power and knowledge that if accessed, could potentially benefit Valad Yar greatly. Perhaps there would even be the remnants of broken Sith spirits there. It had happened in the past, determined Sith that refused to pass into whatever laid beyond, even after pushed to do so remained. They would be weak, but if enough of them were still there...

The prospect was both promising and worrying as Valad Yar came to be almost level with the gait of Ronak, his eyes staring directly ahead as the bird began to guide them ever closer to the Valley of the Jedi. Tightening his hands into fists, he began to prepare himself for what was to come. His quest would either be decided here, or it would become an abject failure. The sheer possibility of failure was worrying.

[member="Domino"] [member="Gray Venasir"]

Not seeing any reason to get involved with a conversation happening over a comm channel, Domino busied herself by sending new orders to her drones via her data pad and then started digging through the local holo-net. She knew what she was after and had seen it once before in fact, and had it readied in a few moments, just waiting for Gray to finish with the others. Realizing she still had some time, Domino then checked her message history and saw and acknowledgement there of the signal she'd sent out earlier, at least that would be taken care of. Flipping back to the previous screen, she considered some of the things that might be said upon rejoining the other group. In the end it all came down to the Sith leading them and his ambitions and how flexible he was willing to be. Not a decent situation to find oneself in to Domino's estimation.
[member="Valad Yar"] @Ronak [member="Gray Venasir"]

"No, still looking," was Gray's answer to @Ronak. He heard the hostility in his voice, though he was not sure if that was typical for his species or if it was because of the nickname. "I'll Call back when we find something." He then shut of the holocom, and looked over to [member="Domino"] who was looking at her datapad. "Well, it didn't sound like they were Our enemies. Yet" He said the last part more quiet than the rest, and more to himself too. Ronak sounded like a decent fellow, and so did [member="Valad Yar"] too, from the little talk they had done before venturing out. He hoped it wouldn't come to anything, but as he had said earlier, he would support Domino.

He turned back to the Wheel of the speeder and started driving again. All the while wondering what he had gotten himself into. At least one he'd normally try to avoid. But he found himself in this jedi-sith war now, and had to see it through. To get his thoughts on something else, he looked around to try to spot what they were looking for. But there were nothing important around. So he turned to Domino again. "Have Your droids found anything yet?" he shouted over the sound of the engine.
