"Underground" Connections

Raveem chuckled. "How I arrived? Oh, that's..." He paused, still thinking of how he had to cough up credits to be even let through to the planet's surface and not have his ship robbed and scrapped for parts. "...a very long story. One I am sure you are not interested in." That was a complete lie... but they wouldn't notice. Raveem had learned to lie... not too much, less you reveal yourself, but lie enough... and you can get people to trust you, or in this case convince them to look the other way on that particular topic.

"However what is interesting is... what I can... "procure"." The way he said "procure" already hinted at the clandestine. "But please, do not confuse my words for dishonesty. I am an honest, fair and trustworthy merchant who trades all kinds of mundane goods. Foodstuffs, ship parts, weapons... you name it, I probably have it on one of the many freighters to my name going across the Galaxy right now."

Raveem grinned and leaned closer to the group, placing his hands on the table. "That is the official story of course. I... run multiple businesses on the side. Legitimate of course. Procurement of... special items; removal of troublesome individuals; and...my specialty, information."

How cliché. A Bothan who could obtain information...

Though, he glared at the red-headed human across him, before joining them at the booth.

"No information comes for free..." Replies the Bothan, taking down the question on anything related to him personally as quick as he could. No need for unnecessary knowledge of him to... get around.

The pink one had offered drinks but Trace was bound tight and stubborn "I am patient i just ....... tsk " Trace' was getting frustrated with his words they could not come to mind he's always been one to be closed off but this person made him recognize a flaw about himself . Could he actually learn from words like this he thought or a person like this ? Trace's pocket suddenly started to heat up at his side ,he had almost forgotten of the relic he had , but he payed it no mind but heard its call. He sat there trying to understand he ruffled his hair a bit and said
"Alright lets do business "

'so the bothan is an information broker on the side as well, ha would not be surprised if he was a spy as well, kind of begs the question of why he has not ratted me out yet, I know I saw him stare at me on coming in. Meh, more information for me, seems though I need to do a little digging before I find anything of real use'. Whatever the case she needed more info, but getting closer may break her cover, decision decisions, and with the Bothan now deciding to whisper things became a little more difficult.

There was opportunity for business here... especially information. Information is what moved shipments across the stars; won wars; and ruined the lives of unfortunate VIP's. To Bothans, especially Raveem, information had become a market in of itself. If the Spynet knew something and you had the right people... you could make a pay-off in Credits for simply passing along a scandalous secret. That was Vas'ah's business... ruining careers, rooting out smugglers... or helping them, finding things... all of that with just a few words.

However there was another variable here. The Chiss. She had been sitting near them for a while. Raveem wanted to make sure she was what he she was... no need to start trouble. Either way, he always wanted to be sure. In that case he was.

"Listening in won't get you much... unless you have the right amount of Credits." Raveem said aloud, glancing around the bar. "I am available for any sort of business we can make. My offer stand for them... and you." It was obvious at this point who he was referring to. Even when he was unarmed... and didn't know how to fight at all... he had his moments of confidence. Like now.

The bothan was as aware as Trace was, he had noticed the chiss girl just as he did . He was thinking of the many eyes and ears in the cantina and how many were fixed on him and the rest of the party. "Your playing a dangerous game Raveem, Any more outside sources mean lighter pockets for all of us" The sound of greed left Traces mouth ,reminding him of the way smugglers talk , Trace thought maybe the girl can be of help to the mission "Sure come over , beats snooping around and eaves dropping "
