Unimpeded Passage

Aveira Dax

Weapon of The Dark Side.
Aveira slowly closed her eyes and focuses her connection to the force around the small object that hovered before her. She felt a glowing warmth around her as something that cannot be described easily in the sense of a physical term; a invisible force reaches from her essence and out around the saber hilt and slowly brings it hovering closer towards herself stopping at her right hand as if waiting for her to grasp it.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Now that [member="Aveira Dax"] was consciously harnessing the power of the force on her own, Ballen-Ist could clearly feel her aura through his power of sense. It didn't seem very dark, which meant she was calm and composed. This was good, for it would go a long way during her training. The saber hilt would continue to float as the Zeltron held it in her telekinetic grip, a gift she was free to claim if she so wished.

"Well done. Now that you have learned control, we can move on to your inner energy. I'm sure you can feel it. Indescribable," the Red Sith spoke, knowing the sensation all too well. "Grasp that energy, and let it flow through you. Imagine it as a flowing river, pumping power into your very veins." Ballen-Ist instructed, hoping that she would pick up the basics of force speed. If she was able to infuse her body with the force energy within her, then she would find her perception slowing, her movements incredibly fast to the outside world however.

Aveira Dax

Weapon of The Dark Side.
The Zeltron’s throat moved slightly as she swallows slowly. The energy was like water rushing up against a dam as a little leaked through its filters. Aveira reaches out to gently let more through while still retaining control and not become consumed by it once again. Aveira felt herself become..odd..it was the only way she could explain it. Her mind told her to calm, relax, and focus while she heard [member="Ballen-Ist"] ‘s voice become slower and slower as he instructed her. Without warning, she grasps the lightsaber into her hand and suddenly dashes forwards in a blinding burst of speed. The Zeltron woman became a blur as she still watched Ballen speak in that slow monotone manner that was playing out from her point of view. Aveira’s free hand grasps out like a twisted caw of fingers as she summons a force pull around Ballen’s legs and attempts to yank them out from under himself to drop him backwards onto his back. If successful, she would bring the blade down to the Sith’s neck stopping as close one could without making physical contact. “To kill the master is a natural step of a Sith, no?” she asked then rolls the tip of the blade over a little and presses down a bit towards one his shoulder.

The force was apparently strong with [member="Aveira Dax"], though she could do with a bit more lessons in control. The Red Sith could feel her energy flowing rapidly, coursing into her body and enhancing her reaction time and speed overall. Ballen-Ist hardly had any time to react as the Zeltron suddenly lifted her arms, reaching out with a burst of speed in order to grasp his ankles. She was successful, causing him to fall onto his back, while the crimson saber he had just gifted Aveira ignited right next to his head. A sly grin would stretch across the young man's face as he listened to the woman speak, a brief laugh escaping his lips before he himself spoke.

"Indeed, but you are no Sith." Ballen-Ist stated, his tone deadly serious while his expression remained amused. Thanks to the Zeltron's hesitation, the Sith had managed to covertly aim his hand upwards at the woman, his arm stretched out along his side as he laid on his back. His gloved hand was already passed her point of defense, and so a blinding would begin to emit from the Red Sith's palm. Bright violet arcs of electricity would expand from the tips of his fingers, shooting forth towards Aveira's body. The Sith lightning would devastate her if it impacted, and most likely knock her unconscious immediately, if not send her flying back.

Weapon of The Dark Side.
The surge of electricity filled Aveira and lit her up. The sudden jolt of electricity then repeated over and over causing her muscles to tense up and lock. Widen eyes were given as she stared towards Ballen then goes blank and close as her head smacks the metallic wall as she became airborne and flown into the strong surface. An auditable smack was heard that gave many that sickening feeling when a skull smacks down hard. One more flicker of light blue/white electrical chain of lightening weaves around her body then fades away as she doubles over and lands face first.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The powerful stream of lightning would disperse into the air, returning to the force as the Sith slowly stood to his feet. He had brought [member="Aveira Dax"] a long way, and hoped she would learn from what transpired. What he knew was that she would surely be able to develop the Sith lightning ability now, if she so wished after tasting it. Her impact against the metallic wall sounded rather violent, so Ballen-Ist whispered a command into his wrist communicator as he brushed himself off.

Stepping out of the training room, the young man allowed a medical team to rush past him, hoisting the woman up and bringing her to the small med-center in the interceptor. She would be tended to and monitored by the staff present, making sure that the Zeltron's life signs were stable. The Knight remained in the cockpit, staring out of the viewport into the dark vacuum of space.

Aveira Dax

Weapon of The Dark Side.
The loud beeping of machines and the flashes of lights both from the equipment around her and the staff shining small led flashlights into her eyes as she looked up barely conscious. Everything was a blur and it was all numb. The pain from the impact, the surge of overwhelming energy that fried her body was gone all but burn marks and scarring about the once smooth pink skin. The lead doctor sighs slowly as he stood a few feet from the nurses and assistants that remained over Aveira watching. The lead doctor, Mr. Gorvin whom had served among the crew and had been a personal doctor for Ballen for many decades, reads over the scan of the Zeltron’s skull. With a push of a green button upon his comlink, he calls the Sith Knight.

“Sir? It’s Doc. You should come down here once.” He said gravely. He knew Ballen well and there was no point sugar coating his words or his tone..he respected the young Pureblood and he knew it was likewise for the most part.

“Leave now. I will watch over her.” Doc Gorvin said towards his staff and they filed out into the corridor just outside. The older man whom stood like a thin bean poll dressed in a white lab coat and matching slacks with wispy thick white hair knew that [member="Ballen-Ist"] would want his space after hearing what he was about to report.

The doorway to the small medical center would slide open as Ballen-Ist stepped through, his cape billowing due to the swift manner he moved in. He was eager to hear the reports on [member="Aveira Dax"]'s condition, wondering if she would die a weakling or prevail reborn.

"What is it, Gorvin?" the young Knight questioned, directing his gaze to the woman who was laid out in the bed. She didn't look well, that was for sure, as Ballen folded his arms behind his waist. He wondered what the old doctor sounded so worried about, and wished he would spit it out already.

Gorvin slowly sat down placing himself on the edge of a desk behind him a few feet from Aveira's bed.

"You know I don't tell you what you should do involving all of this...Sith..stuff." he paused then sat down a small glass containing a dark smoothing looking brown liquid in it. Damn it! If the doctor was drinking then it couldn't be good!

"..Congrats. You just killed an apprentice or whatever she was. There's massive brain damage and bleeding inside her skull and I have no way of fixing it."

The old man's steel gray eyes narrowed at [member="Ballen-Ist"] then looks off to the side with a scoff.

Ballen-Ist sighed, rolling his eyes as he listened to the doctors dramatics. Of course he didn't have a way to stop something like this, the man was barely useful for lightsaber wounds at the most. He was intelligent however, and well versed in his profession. He knew what he was talking about, and the Sith Knight did not doubt him there. "Keep her stabilized, doctor. I trust that much you can accomplish," Ballen-Ist commanded, before turning from the room and stepping out into the hall. [member="Aveira Dax"] would live for the time being.

The Knight reached out with an arm, pressing a button upon the wall console, intent on communicating with Commander Torris, who was in the seated in the small commander deck no doubt. "Commander, prepare the interceptor for launch. Full speed to Coruscant." The Sith issued, plans already sailing through his mind. The man would crane his neck, giving a glance into the medbay before leaving for his meditation chamber. He would spend the majority of his time there, if uninterrupted.

Gorvin's eyebrow quirks then opens his mouth as if give a mouthy response but stops as he watches [member="Ballen-Ist"] just leave. "Yeah...I'll keep her stable.." he grumbled then stood up to take another ready.

Meanwhile, the interceptor lifted off and headed towards orbit. A few hours passed before the ship broke the gravity well and began to enter hyper space with a ever so slight jolt. The trek took a few days and [member="Ballen-Ist"] wouldn't be interrupted until they arrived. The Doc kept Aveira's condition stable as he carefully introduced a few drugs into her system.

Ballen-Ist would ignore the doctor as he left the med-bay, walking into his chamber before sitting down on the floor. The Knight would enter a deep meditation, focusing on his anger and hatred, sharpening his power in the dark side. Hours would pass, the Pureblood having no appetite or desire to eat. The dark side sustained him for the time being, as it always had. Dr. Gorvin was able to successfully keep [member="Aveira Dax"] stabilized for the time being, though she seemed to remain unconscious either way. The Fury-class interceptor would breach Coruscant's atmosphere, quickly touching down on a landing pad on one of the buildings on the surface.

The medical staff would usher the Zeltron into a hover-stretcher, herding her body along the catwalk and into the large skyscrapers surface. It was an extremely advanced medical facility, one that dealt in technology not easily accessible to the ordinary person. Thankfully, Ballen-Ist was wealthy, and so he could offer such things. The Knight himself however decided to remain in his ship, awaiting an update on Torris or Gorvin.

The breeze of Coruscant's air blows the Zeltron's dark hair about before entering the medical facility. It was for the most part same as they all where. White walls and super clean. Medical staff walking around with white uniforms, scrubs, and lab coats. A receptionist held the door open as the hover sled was pushed through a doorway and down a corridor before being parked within an available room. Gorvin along with the head surgeon of the hospital discussed their options and eventually called [member="Ballen-Ist"] .

"It isn't looking good, Ballen. Although..there might be an answer but it won't be easy and without risk."

Sitting cross-legged on the metallic floor of his meditation chamber, Ballen-Ist's eyes would slowly open as his wrist communicator began to beep. Lifting a finger to press a button on the small console, the Sith Knight would listen to the doctor's report, nodding once even though it could not be seen.

"Do what you feel is necessary, I will cover the cost." The Sith spoke in short order, showing how little concern he felt. The woman had failed to a degree, though if she managed to pull through would be stronger than ever. The technological capabilities nowadays were nearly limitless, there would be some way. [member="Aveira Dax"] had shown promise, but it seemed fate had something else in store for her.

Aveira Dax

Weapon of The Dark Side.
Hours turned into days that turned into a week. Despite the level of support the Dark Side can give Ballen, it would all blur by like minutes. “Sir…Sir?” A strange voice called out. A the screen upon Ballen’s comlink was a strange face wearing the uniform indicating an employee of the hospital with a insignia representing the surgeon staff. “…You where listed next of kin..The young woman you brought in…she’s missing..as well as your doctor. Miss Dax was under the care of Doctor Gorvin and he took her without authorization. I came in this morning and..”

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

It had been several days since Ballen had brought [member="Aveira Dax"] to the medical facility, and he heard the beeping of his communicator he expected to hear productive news. The Sith Knight would frown as he looked towards the screen upon the wall, listening to the surgeon staff who unfortunately reported this news.

He was probably nervous, fearing for his life. Ballen-Ist wasn't going to strange him via the force or anything, though. "So they are," the Sith commented, having expected as much. "What about your progress on her condition?" He questioned, remaining seated on the floor of his chamber.

Aveira Dax

Weapon of The Dark Side.
"She was stable but..." the surgeon paused to take a moment to collect himself, as if half expecting the Sith lord to due him in with more and more bad news he delivered to the Pureblood. "..You see. The cloning and ETS, that's Essence Transfer Stations a new technology that's still technically experimental, it was found this morning open and empty. There was a sample of Falleen DNA found in it's data banks for some reason. If Doctor Gorvin did what I think he did, your Aveira could look totally different...perhaps not even Zeltron anymore." His voice trailed off as if he pondered his words and what he was saying, even questioning if it was possible.

Before now, he had only seen test subject and others dire in need of a new body transferred into another one of the same race. "She could be Falleen or something else, Gorvin could of left that to throw off our trail. Aveira's memory is probably still fragmented and he could be trying to get her away from you...while she doesn't remember a thing. Is she anyone of importance?" he asked without realizing the fact that he had overstepped his place by doing so.

"Also...I just heard word that some gear is missing from our security's armory room."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The young Pureblood would close his eyes, focusing on the force that dwelt within and around him. This situation was very disappointing, given how eager Ballen-Ist had been to see the outcome of it all. The secret Sith medical facility was quite advanced technologically, being able to incorporate Sith alchemy and sorcery into their practices. From what it sounded like, [member="Aveira Dax"] was alive and well, taken by the traitor Gorvin. The Knight should have known that the man was no good, he was far too ethical to work alongside Sith. The surgeon would continue to anger Ballen as he spoke, eventually provoking the Sith into hostility. Due to the short distance and clear image, Ballen-Ist found it quite easy to manipulate his vast power in the dark side, gripping the man's trachea with the force in a violent manner.

He would begin to suffocate, the oxygen he so desperately needed deprived from his lungs. "Thank you, doctor." The Red Sith spoke, standing to his feet and shutting the screen off. Gorvin was no fool, but he was also no match for the power of the dark side. There was no other way to go than down from the facility, and so Ballen-Ist would descend into the lower levels of Coruscant upon a turbolift, his presence stretching out widely across the area as he searched silently.

Aveira Dax

Weapon of The Dark Side.
Gorvin had spent the majority of his years loyal to the Sith. He, at one time, thought himself as cut off as he now begun to view them. He was once a top lieutenant and battle field doctor for the order. Over the years his insight and opinion with them and himself, changed slowly. At first, he thought nothing much of it; simply just sentimentalism and softness creeping in at his old age, making him consider putting in for retirement for the last few years.

Finally, he couldn’t take anymore. Another apprentice burn and broke sent off to him to be either patched up or put out if worth saving, as if it was merely some piece of property that the Sith Knights and Masters of the order owned. The good doctor knew his time was over and he accepted it. His last testament and actions will be getting this woman that now was being dragged with one arm over his neck to safety. A shiver ran down his back and he knew it was [member="Ballen-Ist"] probing threw the Dark Side for his location. Gorvin wasn’t force sensitive but been around force users and been on the receiving side a few times to know its effects and reactions.

“Shhh shhh..” Gorvin mutters as Aveira groans a bit in her unconscious state while the doctor places her down into an automated pod and preps it for launch.

Ballen-Ist could see the reason behind Gorvin's betrayal, though that didn't mean he was tolerant of it. The turbolift would reach ground level, it's doors opening as the cloaked Sith stepped out and began to march through the streets of Coruscant. The Knight wasn't sure how far the doctor could have gotten while carrying [member="Aveira Dax"], and so he was glad to hear the beeping of his wrist comm, receiving a transmission from an Acolyte of the One Sith that Ballen-Ist had trained. The Red Sith had trained quite a few warriors, though only some came to his beck and call. "I will seek them out, master." The young human male spoke, before his holographic image disappeared. Now at ease, Ballen's pace would come to a brisk walk, as he took his time examining his surroundings. It had been a long time since he had been on this planet.

Meanwhile, wherever Gorvin had taken the unconscious woman, a young Sith apprentice made his way silently along the rooftops, having spotted the duo earlier and thought them suspicious. He wore a simple Jedi-like outfit, except it was entirely black save for the grey belt around his waist. A single saber dangled from it as the apprentice moved, coming to a sudden halt as he sensed his targets. Groans were audible from the street below, and so the Sith jumped down, landing swiftly while approaching the duo.
