Unleashing the beast ( One Sith and allies if they wish)

Thunder rumbled and lightning cracked in the plains of Tython within the heart of a fog covered ancient city lied a device that held a powerful creature within This beasts followers spread rumors of such a beast trapped here and a possible reward for those who wish to unleash such a trapped beast. Let us see who ventures into the graveyard of this city with nothing but writings on the wall of such a creature. The world laid open for anyone ambitious enough for such a adventure.

While Darth Ophidia was perhaps not the most avid pursuer of scientific knowledge, she recognised the allure in pursing the mysterious and unknown. The Rattataki Sith had often used the planet of Tython to train her apprentices in the various aspects of the Dark Side. Where better to delve into matters of the Sith than where Jedi had been slain? During her time on the planet, she had come across certain rumours. Rumours of a beast to be unleashed upon the galaxy. Now, who better to release such a thing than a Sith?

Now, she wandered through the fog and ruin. Her eyes were closed, but she saw through the Force to remove the Fog as an issue. Her presence was shrunken down to the size of an atom, virtually undetectable. The only way to see her was if one physically spotted her, and through this fog that was rather difficult. Her hands were clasped behind her back as she strode with elegant steps along a cracked road paved with stone.

There where bones scattered across the roads with marks of claws and teeth upon them. Who ever lived here met a terrible end a long time ago but there was a cold dark presence that emanated from an ancient temple at the heart of this city. Yet there would be a a low wind that would howl through the ruins and a skeletal head rolled down the cracked street disappearing into the fog. The dark presence that she would no doubt have felt the moment she entered the city would get steadily stronger the closer she got to the heart of the city. A bell would ring in the distance that would break the silence that held this city mostly due to the wind.

Bones hardly frightened Ophidia. If anything, they were an indication that she was on the right path. She picked up the skeletal head from the road and bounced it between her hands like a ball before throwing it off the side of the road, and onto a broken park-bench. She could indeed feel the presence, and it was her compass. Steadily she made her way towards it. She was not the one who needed to be afraid in this situation. Many a monster had tried to fell the Rattataki before, and yet there she stood. Tall, slender, with ashen skin and eyes like embers under black-painted eyelids. Though her eyes were closed, she saw the Force reflecting from all things, and radiating from the nearest source of life like a lighthouse in the distance.

Shed approach a small archive of some sort it amazingly still shined with power. Perhaps she could find some information about the creature within these dead halls it looked like from the skeletal remains that some of them killed each other but what purpose did that serve. Why would they turn on each other, What caused them to suddenly loose there sense of friend and foe, what was it that was held at the heart of this city that would cause these people to turn on one another. There was a old broken protosaber among the remains of scattered swords and old blasters. indicating this must have happened back when lightsabers where still being developed and where still new to the world.

Tython. Melori always planned to return to the planet and explore. The only times she visited, she always frequented the same place – an Academy she’d constructed that was dedicated to the duelling arts.

But there was a whole planet to see surely?

Except where she’d chosen to land, there was hardly anything to see. Every now and then lightning forked and illuminated the nearby plains but the fog made visibility poor.

The city was deserted, abandoned. And there was a sense of foreboding that to Melori was delicious. A dark presence that drew her in like a moth to a flame.

She pulled her cloak tightly around her, as she felt the wind cut right through her. When the wind dropped there was only eerie silence which was suddenly punctuated by the sound of a bell, ringing in the distance. But she paid it no heed and instead continued to walk towards the centre of the city. To whatever it was that was calling to her.

The fog that blanked this ancient city seemed to have dissipated freeing the city from its gloomy stature only to be blanked by the bright white light of the moons above. Before her would be army of skeletons and bones that littered the way to the temple which seemed to be amazeingly intact more intact then the rest of this dead city. What was so special about the temple that it survived what ever cataclysm that took the people who lived here and destroyed most of the dwellings within. What ever it was to both her and Ophidia the temple was the source of the dark presence theyv been feeling.

No sooner had she adjusted her sight to compensate for the fog than it cleared. Now the twin moons of Ashla and Bogan reflected the light of the sun on them.

Ahead was one of the old Jed’aii temples. Yet it pulsed with a distinctly Dark-sided presence. Kaleth was once the Temple of Knowledge – essentially an ancient fortress city. Ahead was a large stone structure with four large square towers. They were now no more than ruins – as was the rest of the ancient city – now guarded by the dead, who kept away only the weak and superstitious.

So she approached the massive stone archway that marked the entrance to a spacious courtyard and was momentarily spooked by a towering statue that seemed to watch her progress. Only the lower levels of the old building seemed to remain and Melori focused on that aura that was drawing her in.

One eye looked out for droids – rumour had it there were still war droids here, programmed to attack any intruders.

As she entered the lower levels any lights that where not broken seemed to flicker to life once again. How ever they where erratic and flickered on and off every now and then hinting that what ever power source was giving life to them was unstable. As she walked shed see on the walls pictures with writing on it that seemed to translate before her very eyes. It was a story about a beast that delve into the dark arts in a time where hyperdrive was new to the galaxy and the battle for hyperspace lanes was waged. The beast didnt dive into the war it instead delve into ancient sith magic and Alchemy and tython was his play pen. The beast unleashed a virus on this city that had the population and the jedi who lived here turn on one another, When there was none but a handful left the beast came and bathed it self in the blood of the survivors before heading to the temple of knowledge. It did not say what happened after it went to the temple and there was nothing more on the wall about the beast. But then shed hear something mechanical start moveing.

Melori trekked through the abandoned temple. The Jed’aii left it millennia ago and the drawings on the wall suggested it had had a more recent inhabitant.

If it were a real creature or simply an analogy that the Darkness drove the Jedi out, she didn’t know. But deep down she knew she was about to find out.

Lights came on as she progressed. Initially it was unnerving but soon she became used to the situation. And, as was the way with these things, once you got used to something spooky, a new sense was assaulted. This time her ears as she heard something mechanical moving ahead.

A old saber training droid approached her but it made no aggressive moves to her or activated its saber when it approached it simply kneeled before as if the droid recognized her stature and kneeled out of respect. When it arrose again it simply motioned for her to follow it as it waited for her next to a door on the side of the hall she was in

Melori was wary of the droid but did not instantly react. It did not look to pose a threat, so she allowed it to approach her. When it kneeled she was slightly perplexed but once it moved and motioned for her to follow, she did instinctively.

Why she did, she wasn't sure - but she did. Where it was leading she had no idea, but she let it take her deeper and deeper into the old temple and felt the Dark-sided aura grow in intensity with every step she took.

While [member="Darth Timoris"] was meeting with the sabre-training droid, Darth Ophidia entered the small archive. Her fingers traced over the surface of the archive aisles, leaving deep fissures in the gathered dust. The dust that gathered on her fingers she inspected closer in order to guess just how long this place had been deserted. It appeared to have been so for a very long time.

Ophidia's right hand extended and swiped over her immediate surroundings aiding her sensory ability. She pivoted suddenly and took three steps to her left before kneeling down. Once more, her right hand stretched out. This time, her pale fingers, covered in a thin leather glove, clasped around the hilt of what appeared to be a lightsabre. However, she would find herself corrected as she detected the cord extending from the hilt and connecting to a power-pack. Curious. She had seen images of protosabres before, but never actually held one. The Rattataki understood quite quickly why they had moved on to a more manoeuvrable version as the hefty cord felt unbalancing and restrictive.

Ophidia's thumb traced over the surface of the hilt, wiping away the gathering dust and decay. A button stopped her, and with much expectation, she pressed it. Her eyes opened to see the plasmic blade emerge, but nothing came. She pressed once more, and again. Nothing came from the hilt. The power-pack was dead, and that was probably the reason why it had been discarded. She dropped the protosabre and stood up once again. Her senses probed out once more, and she decided to access the archive files, if she could.

Most of the archives where destroyed and gone there was sparatic mentions of a dark sider then something about jedi fighting one another it stopped at only those words the rest was a jumbled mess... But the dark presence continued to flow from the temple perhaps she could find answeres there that these archives seem to no longer have?.

Darksiders, fights with the Jedi. The signs were promising so far. Maintaining her shrouded presence, she made her way through the foggy landscape and into the temple. Her hands clasped behind her back as she walked, giving her something of a casual atmosphere. She was, however, on the alert as she walked towards the temple and set her eyes on the building. What exactly resided within? Some monster to be tamed? Some Jedi gone mad in search for power and turned to the Dark Side? Some ancient Sith trapped in stasis perhaps. She had no idea, but she was determined to find out. From outside the temple, she probed ahead with her mind. It reached out like intangible senses to feel, smell, listen and see.

There would be no life except within the temple. How ever 2 droids seemed to approach her carrying to no weapons at all and looked like they barely functioned enough to walk much less do anything else, Yet something was powering these droids it wasnt any power source or there powercells.. Perhaps it was the dark aura within that powered these droids. They simply Kneeled before her as if they where simple servants to her. And they slowly got back up and motioned for her to follow them into a tunnel that lead straight to the center of this temple, For what purpose? that was yet to be seen.

Looking at the two droids, she decided to follow them. Darth Ophidia was quite curious about the time of their make. Were they old? Were they recent? How come they were in such shambles? Perhaps they had been recently reanimated? Perhaps the creature deep inside those halls had some sort of power over the droids. It would seem likely. They appeared as servants, guards, guides. Some sort of technomancy? Was that even a thing? The Mysteries of the Force were great and many and as such Ophidia would not be surprised if she bumped into a form of technomancy somewhere.
