The Utai Hiridiu Antenna is borne from the realization that alchemy can be used to render a hiridiu crystal, native to Generis, capable of imparting corrosive abilities to a lightsaber blade, while simultaneously resisting corrosion. That ability comes at a cost: the crystal is heavier than the base crystal. When used in a lightsaber, the Utai Hiridiu Antenna produces a blue blade with a black core, which otherwise has the same geometrical characteristics as other lightsaber blades. Despite this, the Utai Hiridiu Antenna has its load of weaknesses: kinetic weapons, sonic weapons and disruptors, to name the main ones that are readily exploitable, thanks to its brittleness. It also retains the properties of the base crystal, so that it enhances the strength of comm signals around the crystal even when all the alchemical properties are disabled.
In addition, exposure to Force-light can remove the alchemical properties from the Antenna. And finally, as with all things alchemical, the Utai Hiridiu Antenna comes with all the usual weaknesses of alchemy: Force-nullifiers, Force-presence, to name the main ones.
