V-4

This is to be the last of the V's for the foreseeable future, only to be followed by armors designed for V-4s

 • No natural armor or shielding
 • Cannot handle rough handling (e.g. falls greater than 20m)
 • Significant power usage wears out mind of the organic
DESCRIPTION
The V-4 is the least physically impressive of the upgrades created by Ultimatum, however it is the most fantastic in design. Following the most basic of rulings in combat situations this unit would actually prove less effective than all of the other designs. The armoring on the droid is practically non-existent and there is no shielding to protect against electronic warfare. The only defense it has against that particular danger is the inbuilt collection of conductive rods that has become standard for LOOM designed robotics. As with previous models, this allow the ionic attacks or emp energy to flow to the soles of the droid which are in most cases a grounding point. This is not an all-encompassing defense as a significantly powerful enough electrical strike will overwhelm the channels and cause significant damage to internal mechanisms.

The body itself is unimpressive, capable of only slightly better than human physical attributes and not very durable in their own right. The main advantage of the droid body is that it is built with the intention of having armors built for it at a later date. This allows the unit to have more versatility then previous V’s simply because it can have a more diverse armor collection.

The key feature of these units are their power sources. Using the entechment procedures and technology from the Sii-Ruuk organic consciousnesses can be separated from their physical bodies and bound to the powercells of these units. The consciousness becomes an almost eternal power source, however excessive use causes mental exhaustion in person. As was a prominent feature in the original Sii-Ruuk experiments, the process of entechment is an agonizing experience, however with the later perfections of the design, the life of the consciousness afterwards is almost less painful than that of being in an organic body. Certainly any damage to the droid does not cause pain to the consciousness. At the same time the upgrade allows the organic mind to control the droid. As with the original attempts by the Sii-Ruuk a Force sensitive will be able to tell immediately that there is an organic conscious controlling the droid and will be able to communicate with it.
