Description:
The VI-71 was created to be a scout ship. The scout is not designed for full on combat, just minor skirmishes; which usually translates into "get the kark out quickly". It has very low armaments (the basic market weapons) and low defenses (the basic market shielding); but what it lacks in protection and attack it makes up in it's speed and maneuverability. This scout can only be used in space.
The turbothrust feature is a engine addition to the scout's main engine, giving it a boost in a pinch. The IFF transponder was a late addition upgrade, though usually found in combat fighters and warships, the engineers believed it could assist in the ship's lack of defense if they had some sort of early warning system to decipher between friend and foe. The holonet camera, established under the scout's underbelly (directly under the cockpit), is utilized for recording data and collecting images. These images and recorded data can be easily transmitted via the holonet to those linked up with the scout.
There is no cargo space, which means there are no consumables to store. However, the scout does have three fuel tanks which allows them to travel greater distances. The scout consists of only one crew member, the pilot.
