- Ultrasonic Vibration Generator: The Ultrasonic Vibration Generator is said to be top of the line and capable of running at three thousand microscopic vibrations per second, dramatically increasing the blades damage output beyond that of standard melee weapons. At maximum power, the Generator enables the Vibra-Ax to cleave through flesh, armour and even durasteel.
- Energy Absorbent Handgrips: In the case of the Vibro-Ax being engulfed in electricity, the long weapons handgrips have been made with energy absorbent fibres, safeguarding the wielder from being electrocuted.
- Lightsaber Resistant: The inclusion of Cortosis-Weave renders the Vibro-Ax resistant to lightsaber strikes and has been created with the likelihood of being used to counter Force Users and Lightsaber wielding foes.
- Two-Hander: The Vibro-Ax requires two hands to wield by the average person and the weapon is considered to be clumsier, using more effort to swing than a single-handed sword.
- Engine Failure: The Ultrasonic Vibration Generator is located beneath the lower handgrip, encased within the duralium enhanced songsteel frame; Extensive damage to the Generator will result in crippling of the Axes damage output and would therefore render it a standard melee weapon.
Vrun Ryssic's choice of melee weapon is no ordinary axe but one powered by an Ultrasonic Vibration Generator, a top of the line type of motor found in the more expensive variations of vibro-weapons, empowering the blade's edge to be able to cut through some of the more dense alloys often utilized in the creation of protective gear, battle-armour, firearms and vehicles.
From the pommel to the top of the blade, the Vibro-Ax's length is two meters (48 inches) and provides the Trandoshan Hunter with a wide sweeping reach when used in combat. The density of the materials used within its creation also creates monstrous momentum that can lead to incredible striking force when coupled with the Trandoshan's superior strength to humans and other near-humans alike.
Unlike many of the more primitive Axes seen about the Galaxy, however, the blade of this Vibro-Ax has been designed to be slender despite its ability to tear through flesh like lung-butter; thus the weapon requires a trained mind and precise strikes to truly get the best performance from such a killing weapon.
For the most part, this Vibro-Ax may not seem like much to look at from the eyes of the Sith or the Jedi, however, the addition of Cortosis-Weave may cause them to think twice should they ever find themselves on the bad side of this killer lizard, for this Axe has been crafted for only one purpose and not even a lightsaber will see Vrun Ryssic from earning his payment.
