- Appearance: Of average height and average build for a Mandalorian, Vi'ral is a middle aged man with tired, tan skin from years of combat in harsh conditions. Absent from his face are the traditional tattoos of Kiffu as he was born and raised on Mandalore with both of his Kiffar parents also being third generation Mandalorians. Instead he boasts Jaing Eyes tattoos on his shoulder blades as well as art imitated from famed Mandalorian artist Sabine Wren. In particular the classic image of the stylized starbird adorns most of his back, A black mythosaur skull sits on his shoulder and a digital camo tattoo runs up his right arm.
- Name: Vi'Ral Saxon
- Loyalties: Gilamar Skirata, Diego Kal'Torrin, Shriek-Hawk Mercs, Mandalorians, His Contract
- Wealth: Well Off
- Notable Possessions: Lightsaber, Beskar'gam
- Skills:
Rekali Saber Training: Vi'ral is an incredible duelist. Having mastered the improvised Mandalorian style of lightsaber combat championed by the Rekali clan, even without the Force in his arsenal now he is a terrifying foe in a duel. - Jack of All Trades: Vi'ral like most Mandalorians has a basic understanding of all things military, from flying a variety of vehicles, to using a variety of standard and illegal weaponry. Working mostly in Wild Space and the Unknown Regions he is also considerably knowledgeable about truly exotic and extraterrestrial weapons. If its a weapon, he can figure out a way to use it.
[*]Personality: In general Vi'ral is an easily excitable and jolly fellow, though he hates discussing politics. Or rather, other people hate discussing politics with him as he has very strong opinions about the way things are run on Mandalore and in the Mandalorians. Considerably bitter at the loss of the Mandalorian freedom fighters he was forced to give up a skill that made his business skyrocket. Outside of that however he is very open and honest about his feelings towards his crew and others and as far as Mandalorians go, is very kind to outsiders and the like. Filled with the urge to find the next big thing in the Galaxy he wanders the stars.
COMBAT INFORMATION
- Weapon of Choice: Blaster Rifle, Lightsaber
- Combat Function: Vi'Ral is best suited for piloting and ship command. While he holds a leadership role in the Shriek-Hawks his troops are less equipped than other units due to being so far away from Shriek-Hawk command. Thus he tends to use hit and run tactics in space and on land. While he is a great duelist his mind often moves faster than his body due to him being used to having the power of the Force on his side which makes him slower in combat than most Knight level force users in a lightsaber duel. He commands Units and Task Forces throughout the Outer Rim, Unknown Regions, and Wild Space.
Born and raised on Mandalore in the southern hemisphere, Vi'ral's life differed from most Mandalorians. His clan lived in a small town not far from one of the Vong Wastes that dot the landscape of Mandalore. This made his hometown incredibly strict as for as long as he could remmeber, regardless of who was leading their people, there was a full militarized force present keeping watch over the Vong Wastes where all manner of Vong creatures lived. During the winters especially the Vong clans would come together for raids and burn the small villages and settlements that lived beyond the wall. Stories would be told around the campfires of the horrors that lay beyond the Wastes in attempts to scare children from playing around the Wastes and staying outside the walls at night. But not Vi'ral. He was an inquisitive mind and would frequently sneak on military and approved scavenger ships to explore the Wastes. One day he would convince his friend to come with him. They had both just passed their Verd'gotten and Vi'ral wanted a true test of strength. The pair slipped past the military blockade on their own. Despite his many visits it seemed as if the place had changed. Indeed the Wastes had grown larger since his childhood and the pair became lost.
Missing for several days the pair wandered the wastes searching for clean food and water before being captured by a Vong tribe. They infected his friend with the Vongfor Virus, mutating him into something unrecognizable. Before Vi'ral could suffer the same fate a squad of Ori'ramikad dropped on the scene killing every Vong in sight, including his friend. Shocked and heartbroken he was returned home relatively unharmed but he wouldn't stay for long. He would leave home in search of a cure that he was told over and over didn't exist. The data had long been lost in the 400 Years of Darkness. On his journey he would discover his Force Sensitivity and become one of the Wardens of the Sky, training under several masters before returning to Mandalore during the war with the Sith Empire. After the Wars when Gilamar Skirata asked him to join his budding Mercenary Group he joined, excited to fight alongside great Mandalorians. He would fight alongside Vornskr Team before splitting off and leaving for the Outer Rim, Wild Space, and the Unknown Regions.
During the Mandalorian Civil War he returned to fight alongside Gilamar Skirata and Mia Monroe. Along with their defeat came humiliation. His clan excommunicated him and though he struggled, he became the host of a Pazhkic-Dau, a parasitic organism that feeds on midichlorians, rendering him unable to use the Force. Humiliated and tossed into prison for disorder conduct and violent acts against the Mandalore his freedom was purchased by Dorn Skirata, the traitor that killed his own Alor, usurped his position and took all of Gilamar's assets. Beside him was Mel'Talverda. The pair had had a short and intense relationship years prior during their time on Vornskr Squad so with her recommendation and Dorn's fat checks Vi'ral joined the Shriek-Hawks that Dorn was rebuilding. This one had true leadership and was much more organized that Gil's. Despite his promises, his loyalties to Gilamar Skirata and the Old Guard of Mandalore were too big of a risk for Dorn and so he sent him and other dissenters as well as explorers and thrill seekers to the edges of known space to take contracts and work there, isolated from most of the Shriek-Hawk and Mandalorian fleets. After things settled down and their chance meeting on Mandalore, Vi'ral and Mel hit it off again. As one of his closest friends proximity wise the pair often see each other and mail each other.
