Voice of the Tempest(PM)

"Just fine Cap'n." Tiam took the blaster, she was better than Tatooine. Provided both of them kept their blood inside their body. She stood in sun-dappled shade under a tree as Kitt went to go use her womanly wiles to escape from walking on foot. Apparently she had suicidal thoughts recently, because everyone knew hitch hikers got hacked into little bits. Possibly eaten.

Yes, Tiam watched horror holos quite frequently. Where else would she get this wealth of knowledge?

"Oh boy, we're getting picked up by Pizza Face and his band of horny idiots. Ten credits says none of you can last longer than thirty seconds, and thats solo." Tiam gave a false smile and brushed past Kitt, opening the door. "Shove over."

This was her way of making room for the group. Now that Kitt had acquired transport there was no way she was walking now. Not when she felt the cool air conditioned comfort of these kids speeder. Correction, the speeder they stole from their mother. Either way, it was cold air plus minimal effort.

Kitt, in many ways, was magical. She could feel the emotions of others, do other Force-y things, make machines work when they didn't want to, and even summon teenagers at the raise of a thumb. While Tiam seemed happy enough to shove the teens over after insulting them Flint was somewhere between amused and annoyed. He wasn't quite sure which one was more prevalent right now. He began to walk in the seat and one of the boys, a zeltron, began to tsk.

"We've only got two free seats here buddy. You're not going to let the pretty lady walk to the city are you?"

Flint now knew exactly what he felt.

"Excuse me?" A click was heard. It might have been the shotgun he was holding in his hands. Flint wasn't the kind of the guy who'd shoot a kid, but they didn't know that. The chiss driver was quick to intervene.

"What he means is, we don't have enough seats but I can pop the trunk and you can fit in there." The Chiss said, and pressed a button. The trunk popped.

"I'm pretty sure he's going in the trunk." Flint said, and motioned to the zeltron.

"What makes you say that?" The Chiss asked, getting a little defensive.

"Because when we get to town I'm going to buy a twelve pack." Flint said, and his friends looked around at each other, motioning and trying to talk without talking. Then they all began to look at the zeltron, and he let out a deep sigh before getting out of the speeder and heading to the trunk. Flint sat down.

"Oh, by the way, if I'm going to the store I'll need a shirt. That guy looks my size." Flint said, referring to the Zeltron. He wasn't really Flint's size, bit smaller, but all of these kids were small so it didn't make too much of a difference. They looked at him for a moment, he looked back, before sighing again and taking off his shirt and giving it to Flint before going into the trunk and closing the hatch.

Flint began putting on the too-tight shirt and, aside from some difficulties getting it to fit, felt a lot better.

She squeezed in with Tiam in the back while Flint took the front. It took every ounce of her force training to keep a straight face between her roomie's comments and Flint's actions. She cleared her throat, taking her eyes away from the passing landscape as they started to enter the fringes of the city. "Nice shirt," it was hard to tell...nope, it wasn't hard to tell at all. She was definitely teasing Flint.

An invisible finger remained on the pulse of emotions in the vehicle through the force. If these kids started to get a little more rowdy she would have no problems turning their feelings toward apathy. They were teens. It would take minimal effort on her part.

The speeder pulled to a stop. "Alright Mister and ladies. There's a drug store right there and the spaceport is a few blocks that way. This is where you get out. But maybe I could have the red chick's number?"

The chiss turned and waggled his brows at Tiam. "I'll share a beer, bae. And I know my friend in the trunk loves brunettes."

A suggestive wink at Kitt.

The force user was already getting out of the car but she couldn't stop the snort erupting from her nose.

"Sweetheart, you couldn't handle me." Another false smile and Tiam exited right behind Kitt. She stretched a little, resting in the shadow of a tall building. They would have to find someway off this rock. Perhaps a remote terminal to access her credit account. Should be enough money to pay for passage in there for all three of them. The thing was, Tiam got paid often but had little to spend her credits on. In this situation, she supposed it was paying off now.

"Whats a bae?" Tiam asked the slightly younger Kitt. After spending time with the teenagers, she felt old as feth.

"Yeah, I'm a big fan of " Flint looked at his shirt and tried to move past the graphic designs to find the text hidden on his shirt. "The Dagobah Demons." He said, his voice dying a little as he spoke the words to the teasing Kitt Solo.

"Oh, you like them? We can play that." The Chiss said and pressed a couple buttons on the radio. Flint, Kitt and Tiam were then greeted with loud banging music and a series of guttural grunts he couldn't make out of the words too. Probably the kind of stuff Zambranos were born too. Flint visibly cringed.

"Can you?" Flint began to say, but the teenagers began to sing, or rather roar, along, so Flint decided it was a lost cause. "I hate teenagers." He grumbled, though Kitt and Tiam probably couldn't hear him over the 'music' they were listening too. After a while the music stopped, as did the speeder, and everyone began to get out. The chiss looked at him almost accusingly and Flint sighed, then headed into the drug store. He looked at the 'selection' they had and then ruffled through his pockets. Twenty-four credits and some change. Picking up the eight dollar crap nobody but broke academy students bought he put in the counter, paid for it, and laid it on the speeder before the chiss and shirtless zeltron buzzed off. They forgot to put it in the trunk, and Flint heard the distinctive woop woop of blue lights less than a minute later. Flint nearly lost it there laughing.

"I've got fifteen credits on hand for fare. How bout y'all?" Flint asked as he headed towards the spaceport, finally able to talk.

"Don't look at me Tiam, I have no idea."

Hands wedged into her pockets. A clump of dirt and some grass fell out along with a disintegrating mint. "Chit!" Hands hastily searched her back pockets. "CHIT!! My credchit card must've fallen out in that weird place we were in or back in the woods. Stars, it better not have been in their car. I'll need to cancel those accounts."

Hands came up to her face and squeezed her cheaks together as she mumbled.

"Ohhhhhhhhhh."

"Oh." Was all she could reply. Kitt didn't seem like the type that would know but it did never hurt to ask. Shoving her hands in her pockets, pale yellow eyes watched the two commiserate on exactly how they were going to get home. Although Tiam wasn't sure where home was for either of them. Perhaps the Detroit Nexu? It was as close enough to home for herself that she had ever gotten.

Not that Tiam would ever tell the other crewmates. It would only go to Flint's head.

"I have enough credits in my account to get us anywhere in the Galaxy. All three of us, no problem.Thing is, we need to final a terminal to access them. Didn't exactly teleport into weird land with my cred card."

Flint laughed as the two rifled through their pockets and found nothing, though the laugh grew more and more disheartening as it continued.

"So between the three of us we have no cred cards and fifteen credits." Flint said as he continued walking forward. "Guess we needed to give the galaxy some sort of fighting chance to keep us in one place." He joked, but in truth he was a bit worried. He trusted Tiam saying she had the funds, but finding a terminal that carried her bank might be difficult. All depended on if they had presence on world. Then a thought suddenly came to his head.

He still didn't know what planet they were on. They had all hitchhiked a ride from the local yocals and none of them thought of ask where they actually were. He thought about bringing that to their attention, but decided not to as something pressed in the back of his head. He was beginning to see locations, names of planets, portals. It couldn't have been random, could it? Nar Shadda, Coruscant, Dathomir, Alderaan, Voss. Voss. They were on a planet named Voss. Brain rattled as he tried to figure out where that was. He was guessing Wild Space, maybe the Outer Rim if he didn't know the name of it, but it could have been anywhere really he supposed. As Flint looked around he began to realize something. People were gone. Flint's crew weren't the only ones that went missing. While the kids who'd picked them up hadn't seemed off the rest of the twon was in shock, trying to figure out where their loved ones had gone.

"Seems we weren't the only ones that left home." Flint said. Part of him wanted to get the bottom of it, the other part of him realized something like that was waaaay above his paygrade. "I have a bad feeling about this."

She frowned and looked around. This world was already on the verge of chaos. The emotions of those around them were hanging onto stability by a thin thread. "I'm going to talk our way onto a transport."

She turned and headed toward the next departure.

"But where are we going? Back to the Detroit Nexu? And please prepare yourself, Captain. I'm going to use a little wizardry unless we come by an ATM machine Tiam can use on the way."

[member="Kitt Solo"] | [member="Flint Michigan"]

"Wizardry? Pft, put out a little cleavage and you'll get better results, guar-an-teed." Tiam stretched out the last word in her sentence and gave a sage nod. Out of the three of them however, she probably had more experience talking her way onto a transport. No need to mention it though. The Captain thought he was responsible for everyone and the ex-roomie was a 'wizard'.

As the writer typed this, she was informed this thread ended without her knowledge. A paragraph is not being wasted though!

So, we can say Tiam went to go find a way home because lets face it, if we left such a thing up to the lovebirds they'd skip the route home and find a nice, cozy closet to examine each other in.

The end.
