Strengths:

• Inhibits the use of force powers in close proximity to Maris (mere centimeters away from him).

Weaknesses:

• Inhibits use of the Force, but doesn't negate it.
• Applies to only the area around his person and serves no benefit for anyone else.
• Will not stop things thrown with the Force from hitting him.
• Does not stop things like Force Lighting, just makes it hurt less.
• Causes skin to be irritated by natural light.
• Causes skin to be susceptible to skin conditions such as eczema.

Description: Maris has long existed on the belief that the Force is a false deity, something to be removed from the galaxy rather than embraced. The greatest tragedies in galactic history have happened at the hands of Force Users. In an effort to dampen his own presence in the Force, and inhibit the ability of Force Users to affect him with their wizardy, he has done some research and discovered Void Stones and their inherent inhibition capabilities. On a recent mission to a research facility, he actually found some void stone that was being used in experimentation by the scientists there prior to their removal at the hands of Black Sun. Taking the small bits of stone that remained, he came up with an idea to permanently apply the effects of the stone to his body in a way that would make it so it couldn't be removed from his person, like a pendant or piece of armor could be.

Grinding the stone into dust, and infusing tattoo ink with it, he created Void Stone Ink. This ink, possessing the properties of the void stone, could then be applied to his entire body, making him a much harder target to affect by Force Users. It only helps him, however, and isn't a cure all for things like thrown objects or Force Lightning, but it certainly lessens their ability to damage to him with direct applications of the Force powers. The entirety of the single vial of ink will be used to tattoo his whole body, making it a one time application just for his usage.

After some thought, this looks fine to me. Couple things:

• Some actual physical disadvantage would be good - maybe a distracting rash or digestive problems, I dunno.
• I assume this was the 'write a thread without 'the'' objective? If so, you missed a few. I'm not out for 100% compliance -- this was clearly a ton of work -- but if you could go back and tidy up a couple of the posts so far as 'the' goes, that'd be great.
