The Jedi Master would fold his arms and watch this display. Good, good. He had been his Padawan for a little while now, so it was good to see that he was improving. The block would move up, and around, without him laying a hand on it. When it would finally touch down, he would nod in approval. "Good, good. You're improving" The Jedi Master would praise, walking over and placing a hand on his shoulder, okaying him to finish up for now.
"We're finished, for the time being" He would remark as Josh would walk over to the terminal and start to input the combination again, watching as the cube would disappear. He would then look over at Doug as he walked over. "You have to keep practicing, keep improving. But simple practice won't get you where you need to be. Simple practice won't make you a Jedi Knight" He would admit, as he paced the room a moment, as though in thought.
"I wasn't entirely accurate when I said your classmates had all failed, by the way. Most of them have left my teachings, yes. The Jedi life is not for everyone. They crack under the pressure... And then they disappear. I gave you a half truth to see how well you did under pressure, and thus far you have done well. But it will not do for you to simply spar with me and practice, no... You need to learn how to fight an opponent no matter what their style is. You have to be prepared for varying styles in combat, varying types of people with different behaviors, habits and movements. I have another Padawan, yes, one more. One who will be your equal should you two spar. And unlike the last one I had you spar with... This one will not run. And once you two have sparred, well... I think it's time we got you into something more... Practical."
Josh would wave a hand. "You're dismissed for today. Good session. Keep practicing."
