Wake Up

“It's a religion, surmising of the worship of ten gods. Each God represents a different facet. Deception, healing, nature.” He listed all of the gods, their names, and what they stood for. It didn't take him long since he had invented every single one of them. All the while his fingers still stroked across her scars. His eyes closed as he listened to the sound of his own voice and felt her breath.

“I am one of the three living gods.” He explained. “Neth the Keeper. Holder of all knowledge in the galaxy. Guide of the other nine gods.”

He finished with a slight shrug.

It was simple really, though all rather mixed up and complicated in it of itself. “I'm not a central figure. Inari is the current leading living God. She is the protector. I am simply...a watcher.”

Kira Talith

"Inari?" She would repeat in query. Neth the Keeper. Inari ... the Protector? Of what? Her brow would furrow as she took this in, becoming introspective as he talked.

A small twitch would come to her as his finger would find a sensitive section of the scar. Here lay that rather cold yet still numbing feeling, as if the nerves could not make up their mind.

"And the third?" came her next question, drawing up on one elbow to rest her chin on her palm. Her mind was trying to wrap around the idea of Soliael being considered a god, much less by a large population spanning across several systems.

“Aatrox, the Deciever.” And Inari's lover. He snickered slightly at the thought of that.

Amorella was...well he had no idea what to call their relationship, just like he had no idea how to define his own. Yet Amorella and Cameron were a thing. Two of the Gods, two of the Gods that could not be more opposite each other in fact. That brought him great amusement, something that she would undoubtedly sense through the power of the ring.

“Three living Gods at once. Inari, the healer and Mother of Moross. Neth, the watcher and Keeper of knowledge.” He paused for a moment, planting a kiss on her cheek. “And the Deciever, the guile of Moross and its people. Each of the gods serves a function, and worship is not limited to the living gods.”

He explained further, his thumb stroking more gently now, his eyes still closed and his voice becoming slightly sleepy, though it was more out of comfort than anything else.

"But they are not actual gods." came her soft murmur, fingers lightly dribbling a soft beat over her chin. She would shift slightly as he'd press a kiss on her cheek, the stubble lightly tickling her.

A brow would disappear under the fringe of blonde bangs at his earlier smirk. "And what is so funny?" she would ask him, giving him a look that said she knew very well he was amused about something. But what?

"Or is Aatrox, the Deceiver also Aatrox the Clown?"

“And inside joke, dearest.” Soliael said smiling. “No, he's Deciever is no clown. He is all but the most serious.”

Cameron was not a joke. He was the one man in the galaxy that Soliael was not sure he could kill, and that meant something. Something big.

Anyone else, he was confident in killing anyone else, scores of people across the galaxy, but not Cameron. There was something to be said about that, something very important. Soliael looked at her for a few moments, then smiled. “No. None of us are really gods, we know that.”

Also an important distinction.

"Oh so now you won't share the joke?" she'd say, dropping her arm down and freeing her chin to drape herself over his chest. Now he was to be her makeshift bed; still warm and comfy.

Her arms would come to rest in front of her, using them as a makeshift pillow for when she brought down her head to rest upon them. A small chuckle would escape as his breathing would raise her body slightly only to have it sink a few seconds after.

"Am I squishing you?"

“You? Squish?” Soliael said raise an eyebrow.

“I'm afraid you're not big enough for that my love.” He grinned at her, touching the tip of her nose with his finger before planting a soft kiss on her skin. “And the joke is not mine to share. When you come visit next, you will meet Amorella.”

He paused for a moment, then smiled, realizing she likely didn't know who Amorella was. “Amore is technically my great aunt, though she as a sister to me. She is Inari. You will meet her when you visit next time, then you can ask her what is so funny.”

Soliael grinned at her, his expression softening slightly.

Kira could respect the desire for privacy. She didn't press the issue further.

However, what followed would perk her ears.

That bit of information brought a furrow to her brow. Her head would swing up, nose wiggling against the press of his finger upon it. There was such a need to just keep touching, as if the mere petting or stroke of a hand could relay every iota of affection held therein. It was just not simply enough.

"So... she's your," her face would scrunch up. "Great Aunt? Wait how old is she?" This was starting to get a bit more confusing. Cousin. Great Aunt.

Talk about a family tree.

"Just how more confusing does your family get?"

Soliael shifted beneath Kira slightly. He smiled at her, thinking for a few moments about how old Amorella actually was. He pondered this for some time, eventually coming up with a number that he was confident was actually correct. Mostly because he had never asked for Amorella's age. She had been born during his sojourn in the pit, and thus had not been privy to the announcement until much later.

“She is twenty two. The Daughter of my great grandmother.” Silencia, the woman that had practically raised him until he was fifteen. It made sense that Amorella was more like a sister to him than any kind of authority figure. She was far too young.

“Think of my family tree as a wreath.” He said chuckling. “It goes around itself and is rather confusing. I also have an uncle that is two hundred years my junior. It's what happens when your species stays fertile for thousands of years.”

He shrugged slightly, there wasn't more to it than that.

"Hmm..." her blonde head would dip anew, this time her cheek coming to rest again over her palms. She could hear him breath, feel the slight vibration of his voice as he spoke. It made her smile.

A thought came to mind. Fertile for thousands of years? Such a thought simply blew her mind. To live for thousands of years? Perhaps, was that too long? There weren't that many long lived species to begin with, her studies in the archives told her that much. The average live span of sapients of the near human variety were certainly not as long as that blessed upon his family.

To see several lifetimes pass by. History take place. Oh there was wonder to that she supposed, but... A sort of melancholy would take her.

It just seemed so incredibly depressing. To live such a long life but see others wither by.

Soliael reached out and touched her face, he stroked her cheek and smiled down at her. There was a gentleness to him, one that she brought out of him like no one else. No one had ever made him feel this way, no one had ever made him think this way.

“I love you.” The words came out easily, far more easily than they had the first time.

The former Sith Lord, the False God, saying I love you to a Jedi Master. He had once stood for everything she was against, he had once murdered and killed on a whim. He had changed before meeting her, slightly, but she had made him realize it all, she had brought something out within him, something new.

He tried to lean down, struggling to kiss her as he couldn't quite reach.

Three little words would lift her face. What thoughts that had percolated in her mind would wither away, in their stead came another. Kira's face would brighten like the sun, dazzling its rays upon Soliael in his endearing attempt to reach her.

"Careful," she'd say, her arms sliding to press her palms upon bed, where they would sink as she would push herself forward and up. "I just might get ideas if you keep saying that." she'd say in lighthearted affection.

"Might never let you get away." the soft whisper would brush against his lips, just before she would close the distance between them.

Get ideas indeed.

If only.

Soliael thought as their lips interlocked. His hand floated to the back of her head, intertwining with her hair and keeping her in place until he lacked for breath. She backed up for a few seconds, looking at him straight in the eyes. There was a sadness within him, one keenly aware of the passing hours. His hand fell down her body, sliding along her skin.

The thumping of his heart was calm, steady and ever going.

“Kira...” His voice was strained, hurting. He clearly did not want her to go. There was worry in his eyes, concern. The necklace that was still around her throat, tightly held in place by silver chains would protect her, but he knew she would be in danger. “...Be safe.”

It was not yet time for her to go, but he had to get it through her head. “If you need me, for any reason, any at all. Use the necklace.”

Kira Talith

He was worried. It would vibrate across his entire body, thrumming against the calm the Angraal ring would provide. While it would not snuff the emotions, it would certainly bring clarity to them. And she could feel the pressing need for him to make her understand that the necklace was there not only to protect her -- but as a connection to him.

Anytime. Any place. For whatever reason.

Slowly she would draw herself up, until she sat perched upon him. Her small hands would reach down, and in that moment the petite Lorrdian would be his support. Tugging on him to sit up as well, they would face each other, Kira slowly soothingly drifting her fingers over the sides of his face. Arms would fall down, sliding over his shoulders, until they encircled him so.

"I will." she said in words as well as actions, tightening her grip until soft met hard. Until the bright orange of his eyes were so close she could see the tiny flecks of black scattered within them.

"I promise." she said, giving him her word, the softness of her cheek rubbing against his.

He kissed her on the lips, just a small peck, but one that acknowledged her words. He nodded solemnly, hoping that she would stick to her words. He knew Kira, and he knew that she would put herself in danger. It wasn't like she did it on purpose, it was simply how she did things. She would sacrifice herself for him, and anyone else. It was who Kira was, he just hoped that she survived being herself.

“Anytime.” He reiterated again, and then kissed her once more.

His hands drifted to her hips, pulling her against him. Soliael felt the press of her warmth against him, and he longed to keep her there.

Time was becoming short, and once again desire bloomed within him.

His lips planted on hers again, and he pulled her even closer, his hands sliding on her back and around her, pulling her close and pressing her against him. It would be another few hours yet, another bit of time that some would say was a waste. To Soliael however, it wasn't. He was with her, he was close to her, he was experiencing her as no one else could, as no one ever had.

Kira was his.

Standing under the pulsing waves of the sonic shower, Kira couldn't help but press her fingers to her lips. They were sensitive and tingly. Touching them brought rushes of gooey memories.

That smile couldn't help but curve over her lips. He told her he loves her -- but he more than expressed it by their last encounter. The ring only echoed the sentiment; all of him loved all of her. Awkward silly thing that she was. There was no shadow of a doubt.

It was enough to bring a pep in her step, despite the quickening hours of their soon to be departure. Reality was there in the end of that hyperspace tunnel. She knew this. She knew this well.

Her entire world would be spun further out of control than it already had, and she could not shake that very human and very mortal sensation of approaching fear at what she would find.

The beep and sudden loss of the crimson light and sonic vibrations would ding her done -- much like a ship food processor. Soliael may not like these very much, but they brought a measure of comfort to the Lorrdian. They were something she was used to.

Minutes later would see her fully clothed - much to Soliael's discontent that was soothed over by a distracting kiss at the corner of his mouth. A warm smile would shine up at him, as she would say, "Told you it wouldn't take me long at all."

“Yes.” He said in agreement.

There was less and less time now, but over the past seventy two hours so much had happened. They had learned, laughed, made love. They knew each other in and out, they had known each other for relatively so little time, but Soliael felt more for Kira than he had anyone else in his life, perhaps even more than for his family. He strained, touching her face and stroking her cheek gently.

“But...” He trailed off and kissed her forehead. “I'm pretty sure the water feels better.”

What would they do today?

There weren't many stories left to tell, even for him. Nearly forty eight hours of story telling would do that. Yet he didn't mind. Kira knew everything now, anything and everything she could ever know about him really.

More than anyone did know about him.

That thought reflected oddly with him, that Kira knew him better than his own mother did. His mother had never asked him about The Pit, Kira had, and in detail. He mulled that over for a few seconds and found that he was more than okay with that fact.

He kissed her forehead again. "Are you ready? I think Nien wants you show you the bridge."

They would arrive soon, might as well have the best seats in the house.

"Oh?" she would ask curiously. Her hand would slip into his. Without further ado, he would led the way, explaining to her as they would walk. It was curious, how normal it felt to simply walk hand in hand with him. Did he feel that way too? Or did he feel out of place?

Nothing but calm, content, affection, and a note of growing melancholy would flow from the ring over to Kira. Her fingers would move to interlock against his. No, he enjoyed her touch as much as she did his.

"Are you sure it is safe for you to be on the bridge?" came her small quip in humor. "or will that curse of yours spread from piloting to mere presence near navigational controls?"

“Hardy harr harr harr” Soliael said with a smile.

“As long as I don't take control, we should be fine.” He looked down at her for a few seconds, sternness playing across his face though amusement going through the artificial bond of the ring. “Probably.”

Soliael moved them towards the bridge, the massive expansive thing that seemed to be more technologically advanced than anything Soliael had ever seen, certainly Kira. The holo-graphic displays and the advanced interfaces seemed to be too much for any regular person to keep track of, though Nien's eyes shot incredibly quickly between them.

There was only one seat on the bridge, occupied by Nien.

Around him were four Holo-graphic displays, in front of him were holo-graphic controls and everything seemed to be as solid as a hand. Solid State Holograms were rare, but not unheard of in the galaxy. Nien seemed to be gently fiddling with one of the control when Kira and Soliael walked on board.

With a wave of his hand, Nien dismissed every display.

"Well thats something you don't see in Ossusn everyday," Kira would say with a bit of awe in her voice. A few steps forward would see the slipping of her hand from Soliael, walking over towards Nien with an excited thrum of energy one would feel more akin to a child than to a grown woman. Then again, it was Kira.

"Shiny." she'd say with a toothy grin. Solid state holograms. Made her want to play a holo-game.

"Don't tell me you're out here by your lonesome all the time?" she'd ask Nein, coming to a stop beside the peppered haired man.
