Wake Up

There was no answer from him.

Not in words anyway.

Talk was always something that flowed between them. Playful banter, quick jabbing words, jokes, quips, all sorts of things. It was easy, they both liked to do it, both liked to play little games like that. It came as naturally to them as ordinary conversation came to others.

Right now that didn't matter though, conversation didn't matter, words didn't matter. All that mattered was her, and him. It was that simple. A troubled galaxy was ignored, and Kira was taken.

The summer would fade into autumn, bringing with it the kiss of long sultry sunsets and dark star studded skies. By now Kira's skin was sun-kissed into a golden hue, her hair bleached to a pale gossamer blonde, the fringe of her bangs lengthening to the point they would run past her eyes.

There, admiring the approaching sunset the Jedi Master would lean against the doorframe. A small knife and a pear would lay in her hands, lazily cutting wedges of the purple fruit before sliding a slice into her mouth.

Kira had a glow about her that went beyond the tan, beyond the healthy dose of rest to bring her back to her feet. It was there in the half smile she would carry, in the glimmer of deep set joy and love that simply radiated from her bones. From her soul.

A small gust of wind would send her hair flying, dancing about her shoulders and moving away from her eyes. The white almost sheer robe she wore clung to her frame, kissing her like a second skin.

Molding over the small round curve of her belly that was the source of her glow.

Their child.

Soliael slowly came up behind Kira.

He wasn't sneaking of course, in fact he was being quite loud. His heavy footsteps pressed against the wooden floor causing a slightly patter to resound out. The warm air around him was soothingly thrown away by a light gust of ocean air, the fresh breeze being calming and relaxing.

Slowly he walked up to her, noticing the knife and fruit in her hand. He smiled slightly as he planted a kiss on the back of her head.

“I'm sorry to say that there won't be a winter here.” No snow, no real cold, only a few chilly nights. This house was on the equator of the planet, stuck in the middle of the worlds hot zone. It would never really get freezing here, and during the day the sun would always be a source of warmth. Soliael had picked it for that exact reason.

After all, if they wanted winter they had plenty of places to go.

"Hey," came her soft welcome, smiling up at him with love in her eyes. The corners would crinkle, her smile taking up the breath of her expression.

"That's okay... I think we had enough of the tundra last time around." she'd say with a half tease, turning her body so her back would rest against the doorframe instead of her shoulder. A small flick of her wrist and a press of the blade would release another wedge of the fruit.

"Besides... " she held out the slice of pear to him in offering. "I don't mind the view." there was impish mischief in her blue eyes. Granted, Soliael had never been the sort to worry about clothing. She found that out very quickly that first day back on Exocron. She had been so embarassed back then! And he hadn't a clue why!

A small giggle would escape her in her reverie, blinking up at him with a loving smile.

Soliael took the small piece of fruit using his own mouth, bending down and biting it out of her fingers instead of doing the more rational thing and taking it with his hand. He smiled at her, chewing the food. It tasted dull to him, most foods did, but that wasn't something he was about to say to her, not when she already knew it.

“The view is encapsulating.” That was a way of saying it contained it all.

This house had been built on a rather large island. There was a lake, a jungle, beach, and even a small mountain, though it didn't rise all that high. The island contained everything they needed to survive, though of course it was also slightly more luxurious due to a few additives of the house. Either way, they really did have everything here.

His hand reached up and touched her stomach.

He was humoring her, but she loved him for it.

A small chuckle would prompt her shoulders to tremble in humor, her head tipping back to enjoy simply having him in her sight. The fingers that had offered the slice of fruit would dribble over his lower lip, only to curve up to cup his cheek in a caress that would match the one he gave her stomach.

"Mmm.. in snug as a bug I'm sure," Kira would tell him, smiling warmly. A twinkle would spark in her eyes, "At this rate, my belly button will turn from an innie to an outie!"

She found humor in that, brushing her thumb across the neatly trimmed beard over his cheek, "What would you like to do today?"

He perked an eyebrow up at her, then shifted his gaze to the setting sun.

“I'm afraid dearest that the day is over.” Soliael pointed to the setting sun. “I think it will soon be time for one of us to go to bed.”

Soliael had set a strict schedule on Kira, one that ensured her health and well being. Some might have called him obsessive, others just a very careful husband and future father. Soliael would prefer to be thought of as the latter, mostly because he only wanted what was best for Kira and their child.

He smiled slightly at her. “Tomorrow though...Tomorrow we can do something.”

It was almost as though he was trying to convince her.

"The sun hasn't even set yet," came her half protesting reply. Oh it wasn't in seriousness as much as her attempt to be silly. She set the pear and knife upon the table next to her, freeing her other hand

"There is still some time to find ways to spend it with this really great guy with a cute butt.. " more mischief "Just saying"

That same hand would reach up, coming to rest upon his chest. It would start to drift up higher, reaching the nape of his neck. Her fingers would curl along the growing length of his hair, gently playing with it as she would take a step closer into his embrace.

"What would you like for dinner?" Came her subsequent question, the hand upon his cheek giving one last sweep of a caress before letting it fall to rest just over his heart. The soft thump and beat of his heart was reassuring to her. Sometimes it felt as everything was surreal. As if it wasn't really happening. Could she really be this happy? Loved so much by this man? Could she be dreaming?

“Well...” Soliael said eying her slightly, raising his eyebrows in quick conjunction. “I can think of one thing.”

He grinned at her, though really he could have been insinuating two things.

That was the way it always was with them though. Jokes, play, and fun. Soliael had long ago realized that his children would likely despise that about him and their mother. The constant playfulness, the fact that Kira and him were so in love that the drive to show it was a near constant. He already knew it was annoying.

Though he didn't care.

Whoever his children were, whatever they became. They would have to learn to deal with it.

This wasn't changing any time soon.

That is when tippy toes would lift the tiny Lorrdian female up, her face upturned towards him with notable mischievous glee. His emotions would flow over her, as well as his amusement.

"Oh? And just what are you proposing?" she'd ask in a low hush with a spark in her eye. Her small bump of a belly pressing against him as she would rest her dainty weight against the strength of his arms and body. He felt wonderful. It was as if she couldn't get enough of him.

The pads of her fingers would start to rub small circles at the nape of his neck. Already the sun was inching its way below the distant horizon, painting the sky into a deeper indigo. The temperature began to drop, but it was still a balmy approaching night.

"I might be easily swayed depending on the offer," she'd tease, silly as can be. Tugging him closer, she took a deep breath. His scent would envelop her, and before she knew it, she would nuzzle her cheek against his chest. As much of a tight squeeze would draw him as close as she possibly could.

She couldn't help it. She loved him.

“Proposing?” Soliael raised an eyebrow.

His hands suddenly grasped around her, both arms locking her into place and holding her in front of him. There was a wide smirk on his face, a smile that told of mischief to be had, a smile that hinted at something happening, something beyond what Kira could control.

Of course, she was always in control, but he could have a little fun.

“I don't think I'm proposing anything.” Soliael said as he kissed the nape of her neck. “I was just gonna take.”

He squeezed her gently, she would feel the amusement driving through him, the love, the passion.

A small knowing giggle would erupt from Kira, the tickling sensation of his lips dancing across the nape of her neck sending shivers down her spine.

They would drift right over where the two tiny small puncture scars would show; tiny circles of skin a paler hue. The pulse would flutter under the skin there, her heart beating faster in growing excitement and thrill.

There was just something primal about him, and it made her legs weak. She'd remember how he'd felt at her neck and it was rather curiously arousing. Why was that? Hormones maybe? Her head would tilt back only to squeeze against his bearded cheek, the ticklish shivers would making her squirm.

Her slightly rounded belly would press against his lower abdomen, and her toes began to curl slightly; was it in anticipation?

"Oh no! Whatever am I to do?!" came her slight flare of mock dramatics, another giggle falling as she would curl her arms tighter around him.

"Perhaps I can barter for my freedom?" she'd ask, but it was obvious from the way she'd clung into his embrace she didn't actually want it. Instead her nails would start to lightly rake over his shoulders, closing her eyes to enjoy the warmth of his body.

"I'm a hardworking girl!" another chuckle, then a wiggle against him. "Put me to work!"

He considered for a few moments, his lips brushing against the two spots on her neck.

“Well...” Soliael sounded deep in thought. “The house does need cleaning...and I do have a maid outfit your size laying around somewhere.”

Was he joking?

It was difficult to tell with the two of them. Of course the house itself was massive, it would've taken Kira all night to finish cleaning it, so maybe he was joking. The sound of his voice however seemed to have some amused intent behind it, and his tightening grip around her told of something else as well. He smiled slightly against the skin of her neck.

“Yes I think that could work.“ He grinned.

Through the bond Kira would feel his amusement mixed with mischief, a typical feeling over theese last few months.

Whether he was saying the truth or not, Kira was just as willing to play along as she was to add on to the silliness.

Kira would nuzzle his cheek, feeling that smile of his break over her skin. She draped herself in his embrace, sinking into his strength. A matching wry smile would draw with growing devilry, "What makes you so sure it will fit me?"

Lids drew open and she would chuckle, "I got a bit more meat on my bones!" the Lorrdian would say, rocking into his arms as she would draw him closer. And it was true, due to the pregnancy she was filling out a bit more; some might say in all the right places besides the growing bump she now boasted.

"I guess just an apron can do."

He smiled at her.

His head lay half absorbed in a pillow, bright orange eyes staring into hers. His smile was one filled with warmth, with love, with care and affection. His hand reached around her, resting gently on her rear, squeezing intermittently in mix of affection and a small way of seeing how much she would let him get away with.

“Have you thought of a name?” Soliael asked quietly, his eyes closing.

They had not talked of names.

Of course the last two were already decided. She very likely realized that already, but the first could be decided upon...or maybe not, this was his first child after all, and he wouldn't have them have any sort of silly name.

Not if he could help it.

A soft giggle would come rumbling from Kira, turning her body towards her beloved with the encouraging squeeze of a cheekful in its wake. Content and glowing with zest and a high only Soliael could give, the petite Lorrdian Jedi would snuggle closer, getting as tight as she possibly could, until she would melt against him from breast to baby bump.

Two fingers would start a path right at his shoulder, slowly and perhaps a bit childishly, walking them down the length of his muscled arm. His question would prompt a pause of their path, followed by the slow lazy rub of her hand down his forearm where her fingers would snake to interlock with his own.

The playful finger wiggling games would continue.

"I have." she'd say softly, a whisper of giddiness and excitement lighting her face, drawing her head closer as if a child sharing a secret. Her dancing blue eyes would delight upon the visage of her husband, enjoying this moment together. Of simply being.

"You?" she'd ask, curious as a bug, drawing his hand up with her own to press a soft kiss over his knuckles. She took a deep breath, inhaling his scent and that of her own. She loved it. She loved him.

And there was no where else in the 'verse she would rather be.

"Boy? Or girl?" did he have a preference? It was too soon to know the sex of their child, but there was an excitement in the unknown. The possibilities.

He thought for a moment, simply enjoying the feel of her.

The truth was it didn't matter if his child was male or female. It didn't matter to him as long as they were happy. That would have been enough for him, that would have made him happy. Yet in the back of his mind a thought lingered, a small ideal. He smiled slightly, then squeezed his hand on her slightly.

“A girl.” He would not be disappointed with the other outcome, but the idea of a daughter appealed to him.

“Someone to spoil.” The idea made him smile. “Carry on in that long line.”

He was talking about Shamalains of course, powerful women who destroyed and took what they wanted. Like his mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

A slight push and roll would encourage [member="Soliael Talith"] to roll onto his back, his wife draping herself on top of him like his own personal blanket. Fingers would remain interlocked, her small hand against the larger.

The idea of a little girl made her own smile grow, a slow curving of her lips he would be able to feel as she would press her lips against the curve of his neck.

"A little girl." there was a slight whimsical touch to her voice, and she would daydream for a few seconds. That would carry on in that long line. Her free hand would snake up dribbling across his shoulder. Finally, soft fingers would dive into his hair, gently sliding away the dark forelocks lovingly from his brow.

"With your dark hair?" she'd tease, "You did get it from your mother." a nuzzle would follow.

"Hmm... carry on that long line..." it was a curious thing to imagine, what that she herself couldn't tell where she came from exactly. Not that it really mattered, but Kira knew that such things like a legacy mattered to Sol.

"And not spoil rotten." came her lighthearted quip, snuggling close with her belly between them, simply enjoying being with her beloved. Her finger would curl a forelock of Sol's hair lightly, all the while nibbling on her lower lip in thought.

"I like simple names. Two syllables." she told him.

He thought for a moment.

His hand was still resting in that nice place, and he playfully squeezed as she mentioned spoiling rotten. Soliael already spoiled Kira, she would likely refuse to acknowledge it, but it was true. Anything she wanted, she had, anything she could ever need, she had. That was the way he worked, the way that Soliael operated.

It likely wouldn't be any different with his children.

That was a simple fact, especially if they had a little girl. He smiled slightly, his fingers playfully strolling across her naked rear before splaying out even more.

“I've never been good with names.” Soliael said lying slightly. “Perhaps we should ask my mother....or Amorella.”

Amorella was likely the better of the two of them to ask.

Kira Talith

Kira gave a little wiggle to the play of his fingers, and the end result would be a light nip at his jaw. There was a contentment to this; pillow talk where they could share the deepest of fears, questions, thoughts.

Hopes and dreams. Their future; not only for Sol and her, but for their children.

That was a rather startling realization, one that made her pause for a moment. Children. Not just one. Could she already be thinking beyond to the joy they were feeling now. Her smile would widen against a tender press of her lips by his scruffy cheek.

A measure of excitement would rush at the mention of his mother and Amorella. Drawing up, she would lean back a bit, chin in her her palm, staring down at him from her lofty blanket perch.

"I'd like that." she'd say, perhaps because she too wanted to connect more with Soliael's family. To perhaps glean a bit of what it would feel to have one as extended and just as full of affection for one another as she'd managed to glean from their Force Meld.

"I really would like that." she'd repeat, settling back down to rest her head against his chest, right cheek over his heart. Tendrils of hair would curl to cling to his skin, the hand that had held her chin now lightly doodling with her forefinger over his collar bone.

A thought came to mind.

"What about... if we do have a little girl.." she began, mulling aloud, mind wandering at the possibilities and his affinity and respect for not only the women in his family, but the hope in the future. A finger would lightly wind a curl of hair from the thatch on his chest, deep in thought, wondering if he would be open to it.

"Name her after one of them?" her face went tilting up, fingers splaying flat on his chest. "Amorella or your mother?"

Oh there was a deeper meaning to that, well aware that true names were never spoken beyond those of family. But it was one idea certainly, and it would bring with it the hope for their child in the future.
