Odds were they weren't going to, but Kira had grown to be the sort of woman who didn't take many chances. Raising four children and being concerned over their well-being did that. She was a worry wart, she knew it, her entire family knew it. At times it could affect things, but more often than not, they'd humor her.

Only when it got to the point of severely affecting the Lorrdian did Soliael had to calm and talk her down.

"I know," Kira began, giving a slight nod of understanding from reading her husband. After so long, it wasn't hard to figure out what he likely had in mind.

"A bit silly, but... if we have the probe here, why not?" her fingers went flying over the tablet. It was becoming darker now. The pale blue sky darkening as indigo claimed the starry sky. The temperature would visibly drop, and after a while, a few golden flashes would begin to appear. Fireflies.

"Okay." He said with a smile. "Let the drone check, but why don't we settle down for the night."

There wasn't any need to stress it after all.

"We can get comfortable, eat something, and maybe you can reward me for being so great to you all these years." The latter suggestion was stuck into the conversation with a wide smile, his fingers gently fleeting over her backside for half a second as he pretended to stretch a bit.

Soliael clearly wasn't concerned about being infected by any disease.

The idea held a lot of weight, he hadn't been joking about that, but he doubted that any pathogen would stick around for thousands of years. Perhaps in a preserved chamber it could, but at the very least out here they would be safe. No virus or bacteria could survive outside in this kind of environment. The temperatures fluctuated far too much for that, and the lack of open pond water or anything of that sort made him doubt they had too much to worry about.

For now at least.

"Mmhmm... I'm watching you there, Sparky." Kira told her husband with a crooked grin. He could be rather silly at times, but he made sense with his earlier suggestion. Getting some food and some rest would do them both good.

"What do you want to eat?" grabbing her pack, the Lorrdian flipped the cover flap over and went digging through the contents. They had a few dry fruit bars, snacks, and a few cartons of meals ready to eat that only required a bit of rewarming.

"Nuna milano or... Nerfsteak and veggies?" the blonde would offer with a mischevious smile.

”You pick.” He could have eaten the entire nerf at that moment. Carrying those supplies, and Kira, halfway up the mountain had been exhausting, and now hunger was finally beginning to kick into gear. He frowned for a moment as Kira handed him one of the packages, inspecting it before unsealing it.

”Tomorrow will be interesting.” He commented. ”No telling whats left behind in those ruins.”

Jedi did always have interesting homes. Soliael leaned back with his food in hand, taking small bites off the plastic fork that had come with the packaging. Briefly he recalled eating very similar food nearly five decades ago, when he had been traveling through the galaxy on his own. The odd bit of nostalgia passed, and he looked towards his wife again.

”Are you doing okay? With being away from the kids I mean.” He knew Kira well enough to ask.

"I think you'll do better with the Nerfsteak." Kira replied, eying the husband when he said that. While he had taken to her vein earlier, with everything combined with their hike and the thin air, she couldn't fault him for being exhausted. She didn't feel too good herself, but that is what happened with age.

"Sure you don't want another nibble?" the tease would float over to the man, bright blue eyes sparkling. Soliael would know what she meant by that, a short little tap at her neck confirming it. When he drank blood, the Talith had increased stamina and endurance for a longer length of a period than with your typical food. He could go at times without eating, usually humoring Kira with meals so she wouldn't dine alone.

However, there came the most serious question. That one had Kira pause a bit, her hands curling around one of the ready to eat packages.

"It is strange... y'know?" for as long as they'd been married, their life had revolved around their children. They had Aela within nine months of their marriage, the twins shortly after. The three had been planned pregnancies, with Nohei the unexpected, but delightful surprise. Since then it had been the six of them, either at home at Borleias or at the winter estate. They would travel together. Eat together. Kira constantly kept in contact with all of the children, perhaps a bit too much. Comm calls from the Lorrdian Jedi Master were not uncommon if she could get away with them daily.

"I miss them." she admitted, her voice falling an octave as she set about to warming the meals through their self-heating pouches.

"I keep wanting to send pictures to Nohei or Draith." social media was an exciting venue and a delight for Kira. Spacebook was such a curious thing.

"Or to call Esme and see how she is doing. " the hardest one to get a hold of was Kayhri. "or just get in touch with Kayhri." there was a bit of a somberness to her expression, one that she tried to brighten with a reassuring smile.

"I do enjoy that we are on our own and doing our own traveling." she made that clear. Her time spent with Devin was very, very important to her. They rarely if ever had time to themselves.

"Just something to get used to I guess... just us two."

”They’ll be okay.” Soliael was sure enough of that, though just like Kira he did miss his kids. It helped that they had all abandoned the house several years ago, eahc going to do their own thing. It wasn’t a bad thing, natural progression of life really, but it still hurt the heart every now and again.

The former false god stretched slightly, putting the food down and pulling Kira into his lap.

”We taught them well.” In everything that they could. Their children were the envy of many parents around the galaxy, if only because they had always been...mostly well behaved. Beyond that though they were smart, moral, and logical. They knew how to handle themselves and protect others. One couldn’t ask for more. ”And we’ll go back eventually.”

He kissed her neck ”We’re not here forever.”

Solieal doubted that he could manage that. They only had supplies for a year or so, and if they were here any longer they would have to find another way to live. Not that difficult really, except for starship fuel of course, that was tough to come by.

Either way, he didn’t intend to make this vacation permanent.

There was a soft giggle as the Lorrdian was tugged into her husband's embrace, the blonde enjoying the sensation of the strength of Solieal's arms and his warmth. She snuggled right in as if she was made to be there, wrapping his large arms around her diminutive form. Even like this their size difference could be rather comical, but it did not matter to them.

"I know." Kira finally said, pressing her cheek against his chest. There she heard the steady lub-dub of his heart. A hand came to rest against his right pectoral, fingers splaying open only to curl slightly shut.

"Just a small vacation." Kira smiled out, giving a small sigh of pleasure at the press of his lips by her neck. It was promptly followed by a tiny giggle at the tickling sensation of his beard.

"Some time for you and me." her fingertips lightly went scratching over his jaw, feeling the bristles rasp gently over their pads.

He wondered briefly what other couples would make of their small vacation. Most people wouldn’t consider a trip through the Rishi Maze as a ‘small vacation’, it was an expedition that required planning, focus, years of determination. For them though this was all just a side-project, something to do for just the two of them.

”Maybe we’ll build something out here.” He mused out loud to her. ”Nothing big, just….something.”

It was an interesting thought to have. ”I’m sure the kids would love to see it.”

That would be a long trip for any of them, but, well it would be worth it. The Rishi Maze was unlike any other place in the galaxy. It was uninhabited, empty, it had the same charm that a planet in the outer rim had but with...more. The feeling was difficult to explain, even for Soliael. He wondered if all explorers felt that way.

”I suppose we’ll see.” He said more to himself than to her.

'Building' for Devin typically wasn't 'small.' The man had the power to alter the very elements and their environment. Exocron was a perfect example of it.

"And just would this something be?" she would encourage him to continue, snuggling up close with her small package of food. The wild rice was actually quite yummy. It wasn't as fabulous as having dinner made by her husband, but it would do. Scooping up some more, Kira fed herself.

"Hmm??" the corner of her mouth gave a slight twitch. Swallowing, she wagged her spork.

"How about a tree house?" it may very well be a silly suggestion, but it wouldn't be any ordinary treehouse. Oh no. This would bring the Wookiee homes on Kashyyyk and those on Endor to shame.

"Little difficult to build on our own." He pointed out. They had some construction droids in the cargo hold of The Freya, but no harvester droids or anything of the sort. He could probably reprogram some of the robots, and maybe build a few more, but whatever they created would have to be made entirely from scratch.

That made things for difficult.

"We'll see, Honey." Soliael said. "We still have dozens of planets to explore, let's not get ahead of ourselves."

The Rishi Maze was a big place, and before they even decided to build anything they had to find somewhere safe. This ruin was still mysteriously abandoned, he was pretty confident they were going to run into a pirate Empire at some point, and that wasn't even to mention any other of the hundred or so dangers he was sure that they would encounter over the course of this trip. There were literally millions upon millions of variables to account for, and they didn't need to add construction to that right now.

Once they had mapped a small sector of the Maze?

That was when they could start panning for a third home.

Well, they didn't need to go all the way out and make a crazy tree house. The idea held a bit of merit; if not just because the Lorrdian believed it would be fun. If things worked out during their explortion, perhaps even this temple could be used.

Belly full, Kira gave a few licks of her fingers to clean up. "Mmm, but what if I want us to get ahead of ourselves?" there was a sly gleam in her eyes as she swung her gaze to look at her husband from her peripheral. With a small giggle, the blonde set down her meal onto the floor, twisting in Soliael's grasp so she would be able to wrap her arms around his neck.

Her petite body pressed herself against his, soft curves crushing against the hard wall of his chest. A big of a pert wiggle and she climbed up so that her breasts hung just in front of his face. Despite the shirt she wore, the humble curves were there to sway with a little tempting shimmy.

"What if I want you to get ahead of yourself?" she flashed a knowing wink, leaning forward to press a kiss on his lips. Emphasis was clearly stated for something far more interesting than a tree house.

"Hmm?"

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Hmm." He said considerately as his arms slipped around her. "One would think."

Fingers sprawled across her backside. "You would want to get ahead of me, instead."

His lips pressed against her neck.

There would be plenty of time to think of the dangers of this place and the rest of the Rishi Maze tomorrow. They could talk for hours about what happened here, maybe even weeks, and perhaps they would never know. Trying to spend the entire night figuring it out would just be a waste of time, something that his wife had seemingly already realized and decided upon. So it was best that they not try to over-complicate things, and as such...well, they were on vacation.

"As I recall you love it when I'm behind you." He grinned against her skin, kissing once, twice, then once more.

Kira had to bite her lower lip to prevent the slight gasp from escaping, only to realize that it didn't matter who or what heard her. Devilry shone in her eyes, highlighting them a bright teal hue.

"Mmm... I do, but maybe I want to change it up a bit. Take point so to speak," her hands would wander across his broad chest, a grin splitting her face in two. He was nearly three hundred years old, but did he ever look as if he was in his prime. Under his shirt, she could feel the shift of toned muscles, the flex of sinew as he would grip her tighter into his embrace.

Her blonde hair fell forward as she came down to press a kiss along his jaw, giving a slight giggle after his beard tickled the delicate curve of her neck. Sensitive nerves there made her body feel as if lightning was running through her veins, stimulating her more.

Pushing him down, the blonde gave him a wink as she moved to straddle him on top.

"So lean back a bit, I'll do the work..."

The next morning came with all the wondrously inundating sounds of the jungle that one could imagine. Chirping birds, screeching insects, roaring mammals that had just awoken. It was soothing in a way, but also incredibly infuriating when one was trying to sleep.

The loud unzipping of a tent could be heard as Soliael grew tired of the sounds of nature, stepping out of their small canvas abode with no shirt or pants on, scowling slightly as he looked around the ruins. The sun was burning bright in the sky, the humid heat had already set in, and everything was covered in a slight dewy sheen. He looked for a few seconds, the sounds of chirping birds and everything else sort of ringing together until he finally had enough.

"WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP!" His voice boomed out from the clearing, reaching and tearing through the jungle in a single powerful wave.

Birds immediately jumped from their perch, insects burrowed into the grounds, mammals began to flee, and for a brief blissful few minutes everything went silent. "Well."

Soliael said with a smile.

"That was easy." He smiled and looked back at the tent, peering down at his wife. "Now we can sleep a little longer."

Just as he said the words, all the noise started up again.

"You are sooo loud!" a miffed voice sang from inside the tent. Not a second later the blonde, mused head of a half sleepy Kira poked out to peek up at the man. She had one eye open and one eye squinting shut, as if it was trying its best to avoid having to be fully committed to the daylight. Not that the sight of two firm cheeks wasn't an encouraging factor.

The sound of a smack against the left one made the former False God's tush jiggle a bit, a quick reminder for him to get back into the tent. "Come on, it is still super early and I'm cold!" she added, darting her head back inside. Voice muffled she continued, "'Mere blankie, you're warm too."

A half yawn and a stretch of limbs made the Lorrdian a little bit more comfortable. Oh, there was some soreness there but not too bad. They were likely going to have to get up in the next hour, but for now Kira was pro snuggling or enjoying indoor activities out of the cold.

[member="Kira Talith"]

”It’s already like eighty degrees out!” Soliael said to his wife as he slowly turned around and crawled back into the tent.

The jungle had never really dipped below freezing anyway, he thought that was likely impossible. This place was pretty much untouched by wind, and the walls of trees around them sort of trapped all of the heat where they were.

Then again Kira was very tiny.

”It’s going to get hot.” Soliael said as he watched the sun, not bothering tto close the Tent as he laid down beside Kira. ”Veeeeery quickly.”

No doubt to that.

Their home on Borleias was tropical as well, but the ocean air kept them cool most of the time. It was only when one wandered into the jungles on the island that you realized just how scalding and humid their home could get.

Curling up against her husband, Kira snuggled up along his broad chest. The dark whorls of hair tickled her nose, but it was a comforting sensation. A hot puff of hair blew against the mat, forcing her bangs to allow flutter up to fly away from her eyes.

"Mmm, but see..." a devilish smile grew into a grin against his skin, the former false god able to determine his wife's intent as her slim legs rose up to try and press her cold toes against his thighs.

"COL-LLLDD!" that exaggerated cry turned into a full blown giggle and shuffle under the blanket, the Lorrdian Jedi Master moving like a slick fish to avoid the potential pay back from her beloved.

They should be getting up soon to get an early start at exploring the ancient Jedi Temple -- but being silly and enjoying each other would take priority.

[member="Kira Talith"]

Soliael wondered how much they had changed over the time that they had been married. Aela was nearly twenty five now, and that meant they had been together for almost...three decades. It was a long time, and he couldn’t help but wonder just how different he was than when he and Kira had first come together.

Of course, he could always dig through the Archives of Moross...but they weren’t exact.

His arms slipped around Kira, fingers trailing up her body, across her neck, and then onto her arms. Hands slipped around her wrists, pinning them above her body as he quickly slid on top of her and looked down, looming with a big grin on his face.

This seemed to not have changed. Not at all.

”I think sometimes.” Soliael said with a smile. ”You forget how much bigger I am than you.”

There was no escape.

A short, hot puff of air blew her hair and Soliael's away from their faces. Laughing circlets of aquamarine joined the near endless stream of giggles that came bubbling from the Lorrdian. Her fingers would twitch, curling and flexing against the firm grip upon her wrists, breath coming in shorter pants as her lungs expanded with the overarching stretch.

"Hey! Minor technicality, buster!" the fight wasn't quite over. Even in this position Kira was apt to continue her wiggles and squirms. If she really wanted to get away from his grip, she would. Although granted her husband was pretty well aware at what methods she'll pull from her tricky sleeve. The Jedi Master enjoyed a good bout of horseplay, but she never escalated matters to where anyone would truly get hurt. Even during spars or actual fights, the woman worked in a defensive method that served to block, root, or stun her opponents. In this instance, Kira wasn't too pressed to wiggle out of the former false god's grasp. In fact, she egged him with a mock attempt to throw his weight to the right with a brace of her legs and a roll of her hips.

"Just you wait!" she teased, curves swaying as appendages struggled for dominance. Soliael could easily best her when it came to size and strength, but agility and flexibility were the blonde's advantages too.

"I can still kick your butt!"

[member="Kira Talith"]

Soliael didn't budge, or rather, didn't budge in the way that Kira was hoping her would. Instead he doubled down on his advantage. His fingers grew a bit tighter against her skin, his hand enveloping both of her wrists as the other one slid free.

"You sure about that?" He asked as he half slid down her, kissing her neck for just half a second as he took a new perch on her upper thighs.

The former False God was careful not to apply his full weight, if only because he was pretty confident that doing so would leave Kira crushed. She was tiny in comparison to him, and although he wasn't the size of a Hutt, Soliael still weighed more than enough to squish Kira if he laid down in the wrong way. So instead he pinned her legs into place with his buttocks, combating the roll of her hips with his now free hand. It quickly slid down her body and onto her belly, gently pressing down to keep her in place.

"Seems like you're struck to me." Soliael said as his fingers gently drummed on her stomach. "Not that you mind I think."

His thumb gently caressed her hip.
