She Left Behind A Legacy

Welcome to the Golden City...
Location | Fitsay, Sedri
@Jedi

A fifty-two-meter something transport had plenty of space for the relatively small number of Jedi who'd come along -- or rather she planned for the group to be smaller initially. Several weeks prior to this she was able to reconnect with a mentee of hers; ironically, the same day she met Briana Sal-Soren Briana Sal-Soren was the same day she gave another student a black eye. It's safe to say that Jade saw a lot of herself in her, and was proud of her progress under Valery Noble Valery Noble .

Having just had a child of her own, and her hiatus from the Order nearing close -- there was something she wanted to impart to Sal-Soren, and to those around her. This was obviously going to be an open training experience, one of her last for a minute. It was important such abilities weren't lost to those coming up next.

It had only been maybe a few years since Jade found herself here, in their shoes.

The ship plunged under the surface of an ocean.

Coming upon the city of Fitsay is like landing on a planet from space — it's as though you're making an aerial approach as you drop through the sparkling water

A large shell dome dominates the center of the area.

When the ship touched down on the seafloor she stood and toggled the intercom.

"Alright, we're here. Welcome to Fitsay, the underwater captial city of Sedri. The native Sedrians worship a large coral formation which they call the Golden Sun. That's what we're here to see. The Sedrians can draw on the Golden Sun's Force energies and healing powers remotely through pieces of its coral; it's the foundation of their technology as well as their religion. Quite a few years ago we took students here on a small excursion, got to commune with the coral and we all learned the ways of the Golden Sun together... where friends may be able to draw on our individual energies at will, from far away."

"I-it's not uncommon to feel light, the Golden Sun naturally responds to Force-sensitives, reaching out even. You may feel empowered, you may hear things...lean into it."

She scanned the group, "The Sedrians are friendly folk, basic is pretty common here. They'll be our guides to the sun caves, we aren't far. There's underwater suits in the cabinets near the airlock. Simple design, and made for stuff like this -- should be easy to put on. A good amount of the domes you see have breathable atmosphere, so once inside you'll be fine."

She shrugged, "If nothing else right now, let's get going. We'll start the class once inside--"

She cut herself off with a single finger "--Oh! If you're the type that likes to run off and what not - don't recommend - I've pinged you all schematics and a key for the major locations. Don't need anyone getting loss."

It wasn't everyday that Jand took an excursion to learn new things.

At least not accompanying Jedi Master Vanagor.

So the opportunity to learn from another mentor, who had quite a reputation within the Jedi, sounded like one not to be missed. Not only that, but Jand looked forward to seeing the planet Sedri, as his interest in seeing new worlds and cultures had increased dramatically since his first days at the Jedi Temple. As such, Jand was a cultured Nagai now, well traveled compared to some of his species.

The descent into the ocean was something to behold. Jand watched, gray eyes took in every detail, as the vessel became submerged and an entirely new world was revealed beneath the depths. From his seat, the pale Padawan leaned closer to the viewport and tried to see more, but before long it appeared they had arrived at Fitsay, the capital city.

The place where they would learn.

"It is impressive to see such a complex biom beneath the ocean," Jand said quietly, as he turned to look at his fellow Padawans nearby. "If it weren't for being brought here, I imagine it would be a place lost to most notice or awareness."

It wasn't long after that the vessel docked, the comm activated, and the Jedi Master Romi Jade began to speak. She gave some information about the purpose, the people, the place and what not to do. There were likely some Padawans that were already planning to scuttle off and explore, being overly curious by nature, but Jand wasn't one of them.

He wanted to learn.

Simple as that.

When told to do so, the Nagai stood and approached the underwater suits. He slipped into one, zipping and strapping various portions into place, and was soon prepared for what was to come next. Or rather, prepared to be told where to go next, as the notion of losing the Jedi Master as a guide didn't seem wise, especially in an unfamiliar city filled with an unfamiliar species.

"Does anyone require assistance with their suit?"

"Does anyone require assistance with their suit?"

"Bruh, who needs a suit?"

Bare feet slid across the deck plating, as the Nautolan shot across the corridor. The distinctive head-tails of a Nautolan bounced behind him, as the hyperactive padawan literally bounced up next to the airlock door.

"ALL RIGHT! We're gonna have a great dive today!"

Yes, there was such a thing as inside voices.

No, Zak had no idea what an inside voice was.

Throwing a celebratory fist up into the air, the aquatic youngling gave a bubbly laugh as he was brimming with excitement and energy waiting for the Jedi to roll out.

It wasn't everyday someone picked a waterworld for Jedi lessons. And Zak loved waterworlds.

Actually... Zak just loved water. Period. Just not baths. Water, like oceans and such, that was cool. But water like baths, that was less cool. Not cool, even. So not cool.

Plus, corral energy? WHAT!?

So much to be excited about.

Bopping his head from side to side, the high energy Nautolan was a ball of energy just waiting to roll tide.

Jasper loved the ocean. The feeling of water against the skin, the unusual life that formed in it's depths... all of that and more had always captivated him, especially being a Coruscant native. This was one thing that he couldn't miss. Plus, after all the running around he had been doing, something more relaxed was nice.

"Does anyone require assistance with their suit?"

"Oh, I'm good," Jasper told him.

He had taken off his vest and flight suit, now only wearing his skin-tight tank top and a pair of mesh legwear, which he always wore under his suit. Both were water proof, and his mask was air tight and featured a rebreather. He wouldn't need a suit. Jasper was an engineer. He solved problems to his own specifications to preform tasks slightly more comfortably.

"I've made something for occasions just like this," he told Jand with a grin, placing his mask on his forehead, though not yet covering his face. "Besides, I want my arms to be free to move. Those suits are to restricting."

"Bruh, who needs a suit?"

"Alright," Jasper reacted to this with an amused grin. "When the rest of us develop amphibious lungs, we'll let you know."

Zak was a newcomer. A Silver padawan, and a loud one at that. His youth was apparent, but Jasper couldn't be annoyed by this. It was something he had come to find rather endearing. The energy of childhood was a thing he had not exactly had, so it felt almost as if he was experiencing that through others.

She was willing to jump into a great many things, with her peers. She stared out the nearest viewport with avid interest during the descent beneath the surface of the ocean; the biome was unlike anything she had yet seen first-hand.

"I'm glad to have come," she replied to Jand. "There is a different beauty here," the coral, the sealife, and more besides - a uncommon opportunity, whereas the blossoms came alive on Atrisia every year, almost like clockwork... and were no less beautiful. She turned her head and looked at him, then, "I will remember it."

Sedri was only the second-farthest trip she had ever taken, but the tone of the trip was much different from what had brought her to Hurikane with Master Noble and Gabriel. This was an opportunity to learn something new... but then, every day held such promise. There were lessons where she least expected, and her Master was deft at shining a light on them. She was willing to also learn from mentors outside of Master Tafo, to gain different perspectives, connections, and skills - the opportunity to learn from one so named in the stories her father imparted as she grew was not one to be passed up.

Soon, they arrived where they would disembark - the capital, Fitsay. When Master Jade spoke, giving details about the location and their purpose here, she listened attentively, then got out of her seat to put on an underwater suit. A process less involved than being wrapped and tucked into a kimono, having her hair done, and so on, she had fit herself into a suit, straps done and zippers zipped.

"Does anyone require assistance with their suit?"
"Bruh, who needs a suit?"

Her brows crept upward at the Nautolan youngling's exuberance. Would this be what Gabriel Pryce Gabriel Pryce was like with too much caf? She lightly shook her head at the thought, smiling faintly throughout.

"Alright," Jasper reacted to this with an amused grin. "When the rest of us develop amphibious lungs, we'll let you know."

Her brows ascended the rest of the way, and she chimed a few notes of a mild laugh.

"And fins, yes?"

It would make sense, of course!

After all of these years, Briana still maintained that had Kensan not flinched, he wouldn’t have received a black eye during that fateful day in the mess hall - never mind that she’d enjoyed knocking him down a few pegs, quite literally. Incidentally, the end results of that episode had seen her cross paths with Romi, whose wise counsel had helped Briana establish her roots and settle the lingering feelings of self doubt that she’d carried since beginning her Jedi journey. Helped her to not run away.

Without hers and Valery’s guidance, Briana doubted she would still be here - standing amongst her peers as a Padawan on the cusp of Knighthood within the Jedi Order, a place she’d once vehemently argued she did not belong.

Now, it felt like the only place that she did.

The initial descent to the underwater world didn’t feel too dissimilar from what one experienced when breaking atmosphere from space. It was a feeling that Briana lived for and never grew tired of, making her hands twitch with a phantom sort of ache, wishing that she’d been able to be in the control room rather than the waiting area as they neared the biome.

In some ways it reminded her of the Gungan capital city of Otoh Gunga, deep in the swamps at the edge of Naboo’s great lake. Because of her fathers position, Briana had the privilege of visiting the majestic city once or twice as a child. Like then, the light from the surface faded away until there was none left behind them. What little light there was, broke in fractals through the deep blues from sources that were not visible for several minutes yet, until finally, the lighted dome city broke the deepening darkness surrounding them with its vibrancy.

Briana hmmmed, wistful memories flitting across her mind's eye before her attention was promptly drawn back to the here and now to focus in on Romi and listen to her instructions. She didn’t take long to go about getting ready for what lay ahead. With this not being her first rodeo, it made it all a little easier to know what kind of pitfalls to avoid and what things to check to make sure her own suit was properly fitted.

Watching the antics of the Nautolan Padawan as he darted about, and the resulting comments from some of the others, caused that signature smirk of hers to pull at the corner of her lips, accentuating the faint dimple in her cheek.

“This is going to be a very lively exercise.” Briana commented with a soft laugh, finishing the end of her braid and fixing it flat against her head, turning a raised brow towards Romi.

In another place, in times long since passed, Luric would have been huddled up against his cousin, wondering what awaited them under the depths. He too had been to Otah Gunga once with her and his Uncle, much to his Uncle's chagrin. But Aunt Teyla was not one to whom you said no easily to. Nor would she allow it once her foot was down on a subject involving the children. And where Briana Sal-Soren Briana Sal-Soren went, some combination of Luric and her siblings were sure to follow. That was just the way it had always been until they all began to grow older, and follow their own individual paths. The Force had it's own plans for all of them, and wasn't without a strange sense of humor, it would seem.

Luric watched as the Nautolan youngling Zak Dymo scurried about, pumping his little fist into the air, excited as could be at the prospect of being in the vast ocean before them. He could not help but smile at him, his energy was almost palpable. Still, Luric's mind wandered just a bit. That sense of humor, it was definitely an odd thing, as he never believed in coincidences. Seeing Ichika Masudo Ichika Masudo here among them was actually a bit of a shock to him, but as he'd learned long ago; his life was nothing if not filled with surprises and unusual circumstances. For now, however, he would remain cordial, simply nodding to Daisy, his words soft, his tone even as always. "I'd thought that was you, Daisy. It's nice to see you again, it's been many a year since the last time."

Turning his attention back to Briana, he let out a soft chuckle as she kept fiddling with her suit, checking and double checking to make sure all was fit proper and secure. "Bri, I tell you, you will never cease to make me laugh. Stop fidgeting so much. All is as it should be, and will be just fine, hmm?" Shaking his head with a bit of a smile still toying on his lips, he smoothed out his robes, wearing them a bit tighter than normal. He had decided he would eschew the suits his fellow Jedi were gearing up with and wearing. From a pocket within the folds of his robes, he produced a small, elongated device. A re-breather, as it were. Luric had always been one to travel lightly, and aside from his saber, his robes, and his re-breather, he didn't have much else with him.

As Master Romi Jade Romi Jade spoke and gave them instructions, Luric took her words to heart, and made it a point to follow her advice and direction to the best of his ability. And as Briana commented on the young, hyperactive Nautolan, the Atrisian Knight nodded in agreement with her. "I concur. Very lively, indeed."

Ever since Kara had revealed her pregnancy, she had kept to Coruscant. She had been advised by Valery, Iris and Amani to stop her offworld adventures to find Aiden. Which was fair, Kara knew she had been running a risk doing that, and had admittedly given up on ever finding the father again.

But she might’ve taken it to a tad extreme in her seclusion. Having barely set foot out of the Jedi Temple, let alone Coruscant as a whole. After all, what could she do? Flying offworld ran the risk of getting caught up in some kind of conflict. Here at the Temple she could continue her training, albeit the less active stuff anyway. But someone like Kara couldn’t stay still for too long, she thrived on being able to explore, to go places.

That and get away from the stuffy city air of Coruscant.

So when Kara caught wind that one Master Romi Jade was planning a little field trip to Sedri, the blonde Padawan almost jumped at the chance. In one part to finally get some fresh air, but to also meet this other ‘Jade’ she had heard about.

Of course, Kara ran the idea by Valery Noble Valery Noble first. She was the only one she knew to go to about this, to figure out if what was in store was safe for her to do. And fortunately it seemed all was good. Sedri wasn’t a place of conflict, the lessons Romi had in mind weren’t too physically intensive, and it appeared Valery had nothing but complete faith in the Jedi Master.

Kara had to hide how eager she appeared when finally boarding the transport. Despite what had happened, what life had thrown at her, the young woman never lost that desire to explore and learn something new.

She was practically glued to the window seat as they plunged under the surface of the ocean. It wasn’t everyday Kara got to visit an underwater city.

Eventually though, the intercom sparked to life with Master Jade’s voice. Kara followed the instructions, heading towards the cabinets and grabbed one of the suits.

I can manage, but thank you for the offer Jand.” Kara flashed him a small smile as she went about equipping and sealing the suit up. Fortunately, her pregnancy hadn’t gotten to a stage where something this simple was difficult. But it was getting close enough, given a little bit more time and she’d need to start changing things.

Kara laughed as she watched the teenage Nautolan practically bounce around in excitement.

Looks like someone is very excited to get going.

"I can't hear you over the sound of how AWESOME aquatics are!"

"I don't remember when I said they weren't," Jasper shrugged, clearly unbothered. "We were merely poking fun at our own limitations."

Jasper grinned, remaining casual. He stood at a slight slouch, and his hands were tucked into his pockets.

"Personally, I prefer the challenge," he added. "Natural talent is fine and good, but I'd much rather work my way up from the bottom."

There was a time where he may have said other wise. Jasper had been desperate for a shred of natural talent in his youth. Something as simple a as a genetic gift would have elevated his emotional state, but he knew now that there was much more to be gained from hard work. Besides, there was little to be satisfied about if there was no challenge.

"It's good to see you again," Jasper said, turning to Daisy. "I don't think I've seen you since Ilum... How've you been?"

Jasper also took note of Luric. He hadn't met the knight before, and didn't remember seeing him up until this point either, though he saw many Jedi these days. It was hard to keep track of them all. There were some other people he recognized. Briana was one of Master Noble's students, whom he had only really seen in passing, and Kara Jade was someone he was more familiar with. She was definitely the senior of the main padawan group, or at least his general group. Perhaps today was a good day to get to know some people better as well.

Welcome to the Golden City...

@Jedi

Romi had shrugged into her suit by this point. She whipped around to face their group, "Everyone alright?" she spoke just under the mild banter and side comments.

She reached mid walk to swipe her helmet while absorbing the side convos. "Shall we?" She smirked at Bri and Luric. "Let's head out!" she projected.

The airlock functioned just fine underwater, swapping the ship's pressurized atmosphere for the Sedrian ocean. Most of Fitsay, including the great iridescent dome that was open, was an easy swim away via the tourist suits' jets -- and they weren't far.

Jade sauntered out, The Sedrians were visible outside: vaguely humanoid upper bodies, finned tails, and heavily whiskered faces. Some wore small lumps of glowing golden stone around their necks or at their waists, either unadorned or encased in various kinds of alien technology. She motioned for the others to unboard and follow.

The High Priest was a silver-pelted Sedrian, friendlier than his heavily accented Basic could keep up with. He welcomed them personally. He and Jade had familiarity, as she was just here as a student herself some years prior -- it was evident by the way in which they interacted, it was all a deep and mutual respect. He'd be their main escort into the great pearlescent dome, starting with leading them down into the Sun Caves beneath.

"Let's get the class going then..." She shot, before pointing towards the pearlescent dome which housed their target.

"The Golden Sun isn't some large artifact imbued with the Force, or some hyperintelligent being. In actuality, it's a living, intelligent organism made up of...thousands of super tiny individual polyps. Those polyps live within a coral reef and have a communal consciousness. Although they do not know it by name, these tony polyps can touch the Force. Their lives in the glow of the Force, as well as the power generated by thousands of interconnected minds, produce the powerful effects of the Golden Sun." She went on the explain.

"For those of you who have ever been apart of one, think of this as an extremely large Force Meld -- imagine if every Jedi in the Galaxy did that, joined their mind together into one communal consciousness..."

"At its maximum power, it was said to produce effects powerful enough to hide an entire planet. It shined so bright that Sedri was always thought of as a star. History has even alluded to scenarios where those who weren't previously Force-sensitive had become so after close contact with the Golden Sun."

Even now, the Golden Sun reached out to welcome them wordlessly. The divine coral touched their minds with unassuming ease. Its Force presence swelled ahead; the divine coral understood they were coming to visit, and approved.

She spun on her heel, now facing the group, "Does anyone feel anything? or does anyone have any questions?"

"...About anything, even unrelated to our trip."

Once she was suited up, Thelma had followed Romi and the others as they swam out to the reef. Not long after she exited the airlock, she started to feel… weird.

The Golden Sun’s power in the Force was immense, as was the output of energy it produced. For the little energy vampiress, it was like being placed before a giant buffet. It was impossible to resist, and there was just so much of it…

Surely they wouldn’t mind, right? They had a ton of energy already, taking some wouldn’t hurt the polyps. She took a taste, then a gulp, then drank her fill. It was like anything she had ever consumed before, its effects on her body unusually potent.

Intoxicated, Thelma abruptly became the most friendly member of the group, her inhibitions obliterated. “Hi,” she said cheerfully to the person nearest to her—which happened to be Jand Talo Jand Talo . “How you doin’?

ɴᴀɢᴀɪ ᴅᴜᴇʟɪsᴛ

jand_spacer.png

"There is much beauty here," Jand said in a low voice, as he glanced to Daisy. He offered a small smile. "I agree."

When it came to others donning the suits, it seemed they were content to handle it personally, which mattered little to Jand. He had been attempting to be more thoughtful, considerate, there was certainly no skin off his nose. Nonetheless, Jand felt that it seemed appropriate to offer further support to Kara, even if he didn't necessarily feel inclined to act that way:

"Very well," Jand said to Kara. "I am not far away, in any instance."

When Jasper commented, Jand nodded, but otherwise busied himself with being ready. Then Jasper mentioned how he was prepared for such situations, and the Nagai noted the more personalized touches that the older Padawan had already. The mask looked technically complex, though had a simple enough design, which told Jand that Jasper was a skilled engineer.

"Thankfully I only wore the Jedi robes," Jand said in response, as he considered how the garments felt beneath the suit. Not entirely comfortable, but that didn't bother Jand. Then he glanced to the younger Zak. "It would appear your biology does provide you with an advantage in this environment... it almost makes me want to be Nautolan, so I could explore the oceans around us. Though I am perfectly content as Nagai."

Jand smirked at Daisy's comment about fins, which was added to the quips from Jasper.

There was more discussion, but Jand put it aside, as he collected one of the helmets. He fitted it over his dark hair, slid it into place, and secured it. Oxygen began to flow immediately, it seemed ready for disembarking, and then Master Jade addressed the group. The Nagai listened silently, then proceeded to follow. There was a vague consideration for dangers in the water itself, but nothing seemed present to confirm that, so Jand relaxed somewhat. And before long, he stepped onto the reef and began to follow as Romi Jade explained about the Golden Sun.

As the Jedi Master spoke, Jand spared a moment to consider the Sedrians, as he assessed what they might be capable of. Clearly adapted to water, yet capable of moving on both land and in sea. Jand turned his attention to the subject of discussion itself, the Golden Sun, as Master Jade's words continued to sound, though they started to fade, and in the absence sensations and communication without words flowed over Jand...

Pain... it will be yours, your existence, brief and unending...

The darkness, torment, suffering...

Challenging beyond all you have faced...

You will face it...

Your death.

Your fate.

Jand's gray eyes slowly focused, as the blinding light that had built up from the Golden Sun dissipated. Yet, whatever the Nagai had experienced, it had been his own, as Master Jade continued to speak and came to a close about the mysterious collection of polyps. The vision had been unlike anything Jand had experienced, it spoke of what was to come, delivered with a certainty of divinity of the Force.

From beside him, someone spoke - Thelma - who asked how he was.

"I am fine," Jand said, sharp, perhaps too intense a response for her calmer tone. "I--"

Within the confines of his helmet, Jand glanced toward Daisy. He added to Thelma, in a softer tone:

"I am fine."

Silas had been amongst the class since the start and had managed to slip on his suit pretty easily compared to some others. He looked to the others in front of him, all of which were familiar faces as they listened to Master Jade's instructions. The golden sun was an extremely powerful ability if used right. She even mentioned the fact that some have even become force sensitive from simply coming into contact with it. The padawans didn't know it yet, but it was something that was potentially going to save their lives.

"Stars, this suit is tight..." he said to himself after placing his helmet on and going over to Thelma and Jand who were oddly speaking to each other "Jand, long time no see," he said with respect before looking towards the girl with a brief silence "Hello Thelma, how goes things?" he snapped back into his usual tone. For some reason, Thelma was more upbeat and confident compared to the last few times they saw each other.

"What's got into your breakfast?"

After the joking comment, he seemed to examine the aliens that were around them. Even though they seemed peaceful, he didn't wish to get on their bad side for the sake of his safety and relations with the Jedi themselves. There was probably going to be stuff out there to pose a danger, but for now, everything seemed strangely calm in the group and the surrounding area.

The only thing that bothered Silas was swimming. He did it in his training, but he never really used it or practiced past that. It was probably wise he got to that at some point...

The colors. When Iris first met the Jedi that brought her to the Temple, there was a light there that cut through the bright world of colors she'd been blind to. Viera Viera had been the first beacon to truly give Iris a place to ground herself in. At the time, that light had been blinding. But time, experience, lessened that blinding aura. Let her see through the colors, through the light.

Here? She was overwhelmed by the warmth completely anew.

Iris sat, eyes closed. A warm smile on her face. Already deep into the meld with the Golden Sun. Their colors, her colors, so easily woven together like so many she'd weaved before. If she was here to learn, she didn't seem to be paying attention.

She just wanted to enjoy the warmth.

"All right!"

Another fist pumped into the air, as Romi Jade Romi Jade led everyone into the airlock. Jumping into the crowd, the small Nautolan squeezed his way from the inner side of the chamber toward the outer door. "Let's DO THIS!"

As the waters rushed in, the Nautolan gave an enthusiastic yelp as he belted out, "TO INFINITY... AND BELOW!"

With that, the boy plunged his head down under the water. The outer doors opened as the boy propelled himself outward. It was like putting on an old pair of slippers. The water just seemed to slip comfortably around his body. There was a moment in which the Force moved around the boy, as a burst of Force Speed suddenly propelled the aquatic youngling through the water in a dazzling display of underwater acrobatics.

"WA-HOO!"

Like a green-skinned jet engine, the Nautolan darted in and around the natives, at one point picking up a small herd of local children, as Zak began to circled around the group of Jedi that Romi was leading toward the coral formation.

He could feel the warmth, but his attention was stolen away by the elation of being back in the water.

She spun on her heel, now facing the group, "Does anyone feel anything? or does anyone have any questions?"

"...About anything, even unrelated to our trip."

Shooting down beside Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el , at the invitation from Romi the boy suddenly popped off a litany of questions that he'd been keeping to himself. "Why do you have a robot arm?" the boy asked bluntly.

In rapid succession, the boy jetted over by Jand Talo Jand Talo to ask, "Why is your skin so white?"

From the Nagai, the boy keyed in on the fact that there was a bruh-looking nerfherder he didn't know. "Who are you?" Zak asked Silas Westgard Silas Westgard , before realizing something that he'd overheard.

"Wait, your name is... Thelma?" the youth asked, casting his gaze over at Thelma Goth Thelma Goth

Possibly NOT what Romi had in mind when she'd opened the floor to questions.

Thalia's life up until she left with the Jedi had been one surrounded by water, but ever since she'd made contact with the Thresher on Pamarthe being under the water sent a shiver down her spine. They were billions of miles away from her stormy island home and the thought of a horde of those Sithspawn fish-men swarming them all and devouring them-

No. She was safe here, despite being underwater. Well, as safe as a human could be a thousand leagues under the sea. The black suit wasn't unlike those she'd worn in space, though maybe a little tighter fitting and with a big bulbous bowl around her head, but otherwise very much the same. This lesson today was being taught by Romi Jade, a person she hadn't seen in years. A part of her still resented her for abandoning her to Solipsis, for not fighting harder, for not killing her when she had the chance. Another part of her regretted that she ever had to meet the woman again. She felt a stab of embarrassment and guilt every time the Jedi Master's blue gaze fell on her.

She tried to distract herself by reaching out to the Force and seeing what she could see. The waves of this place were in such harmony. Not as much as they were at Ilum but incredibly close.

"Storms," she breathed, "This place, its so beautiful." She didn't say it to anyone in particular, just sort of whispering to herself as he floated along behind the group and as far away from Romi's gaze as possible. She felt the Coral trying to pry into her mind and she instinctively pushed against it, hesitant to let anything that powerful anywhere near her mental faculties.
