There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.
Kian took a slow steady breath in, his eyes closed. Unlike his typical meditations, Kian's mind was not stretched outward attempting to tune into the living force, but rather turned inward to his own emotional state and concerns. Kian was uncharacteristically nervous. Put him into a situation where he had to go into danger alone and in secret with no hope of rescue should he fail, and Kian was typically cool as could be....but this was a whole different situation entirely.

Today, Kian would adjourn the first Jedi Council meeting. At present the Order had no Jedi Council and so all Jedi of Knight rank and higher would be called in to speak on behalf of the Jedi. From this conversation, Kian hoped to walk away with a structure to the Jedi Order that would satisfy all or at least most of the Jedi of the Order. Many ideas had been put forward at the first informal meeting of the Jedi and todays meeting would be to mold those ideas into an actual governing body for the Jedi Order.

"Kark it!" Gnost Karr said and Kian opened his eyes to view the scene before him. His young padawan and nephew stood before him, his green bladed lightsaber held in his hands and the training droid floating around before him. Gnost was starting to really get comfortable with the lightsaber training, and Kian would soon begin to hone his use away from Form I and toward the form that Gnost wished to learn, Form III, Soresu.

"You stopped listening to your instincts." Kian said reproachfully and he sensed a slight twinge of irritation in the young Kel Dor's force aura, though it was quickly dispelled.

"Yes, master." Gnost said, raising his blade defensively and beginning to batter away training bolts once more.

"Continue with your training," Kian said rising to his feet. "When you feel you've trained enough, join us in the council chamber." Kian said nodding his head to his youngest apprentice and turned to leave the room. Kian was certain his other apprentice, [member="Lokthra Dawning"], was around here somewhere and he would hopefully see her at the council meeting as well. This was not a closed Council session and the Jedi would be meeting in the meeting chamber on the first floor of the Nadiem Jedi Enclave. Padawans and Jedi visiting from other Orders would be welcome to sit in the audience seating to hear the discussions of the Council.

The elevator took Kian quickly to the first floor of the Jedi Enclave and he nodded his head to a group of passing younglings who were giggling at something. Kian smiled warmly beneath his mask. It had been years since he had heard younglings giggling in the halls of a Jedi Enclave and it was a good sound. It reminded Kian of the Gnost Dural and the Jedi Temple on Ossus. As Kian walked through another doorway, he found himself standing in the Counsel chamber.

The room was round and at its center was a large table surrounded by chairs. Along the edges of the room were more chairs tucked into the alcoves from which non-Council members could sit or stand to watch the proceedings. Kian had sent out the general call earlier and enough time had hopefully now elapsed for a decent number of his fellow Jedi to arrive.

Taking a seat left of center, Kian purposefully choose not to take the seat at the head of the table. The Order had no Grandmaster and Kian did not want to give the impression that he was leading this Council. He had called it but it would be a meeting of equals. Kian wanted no opinion to appear superior to another. That was not the Jedi Council he had envisioned when he had come to the Jedi as a young man.

Unhooking his lightsaber from his belt, Kian turned the darkened hilt over in his hands. The weapon had belonged to Jedi Master Plo Koon before his death in the skies of Cato Neimoidia. Kian, Corvus Raaf, and Kana Truden had unearthed the coordinates to the crash site and Kian had sent an excavation team there to retrieve as much as they could from the site. Kian had hid the saber away when he'd vanished on a mission several years back and had retrieved it once more. Looking around at the empty chamber around him, a smile formed under his mask. Kian had spent much of his life wanting to live up to the example set by the Kel Dor whose weapon he held.....and he hoped he had.

Sitting back in his chair, Kian once more closed his eyes and awaiting the arrival of the others.

For a brief period in a team long since passed, Cedric had been named a member of the Jedi Council. It had been a time of chaos, a time in which a figurehead had been needed regardless of experience. He'd served there well, though his views had differed drastically from his counterparts. To avoid further fragmentation of the order, the knight had left to deal with things his own way.

To find himself once again standing within the council chambers, a differing enclave regardless, left him ill at ease. He had not grown up in such temples, but had rather undergone his tutelage beneath private masters and family members. His foreign nature was shown in his attire.

Rather than the normal warm colors of the traditional Jedi Order, Cedric was clad in the dark trappings of his former station. His cowl was drawn back back, his mask hanging loosely from his belt. He'd elected to leave behind all of his weapons, though he would have carried a lightsaber had his not been destroyed.

"They don't train their students the way we did here," Cedric murmured to his companion as they strode toward the council chambers. "It's far more passive, but it seems to work well enough all the same. I'd be interesting in trying some of their techniques with my next padawan." The doors parted for both himself and [member="Alyson Halle"].

The knight greeted his compatriots with a silent nod, and elected to take up a position behind the chairs, arms folded about his chest.

Belizarius felt incredibly weird and anxious being in a place and actually having some authority. The idea of a knight being able to have some sway over the future of the Order made the young Jedi uncomfortable. His issues with his confidence coming out and could probably be sensed on him. He was wearing the robes typically found on Jedi Shadows blue in colour and were far more flexible and durable than his old robes. He had taken it upon himself to start training himself more in the force so that he could help bring about the return of the Republic in the galaxy and trying to become a shadow seemed like a good start.

As he finished getting into he robes, he left his quarters where books where stacked on every surface. He unfortunately did not have a room big enough to fit them all in. He didn't mind this so much since his room was more just a comfortable place to sleep and he rarely hanged around inside. preferring to go to the enclaves archives. Nadiem definitely was a beautiful planet and even in the few months he'd been serving the Republic it had slowly brought a change in the young Jedi.

He found himself fitting more into this environment than the enclave which originally trained him. These reminded him of the Jedi that he read about in the stories. He remembered how strict things were and how they could benefit from having a more wide view on the force and how to train in it. He hoped to one day be able to return and try to show them there was a better way of doing things.

Belizarius left his lightsaber in his quarters as he didn't see a need for it. As Belizarius entered the room he saw [member="Cedric Grayson"] standing behind the seats, a Jedi that he had kind of heard about but didn't particularly know. He looked like he definitely had experience thought and in many ways that was good enough for Belizarius. Sitting off to the side was [member="Kian Karr"] who for all intents was a sort of reluctant figurehead of the current Republic Jedi. Somebody that Belizarius had come to respect and trust in his time here.

Belizarius took a seat off to the side, as far away from the center as possible. He in noway wanted to pretend that he had arrogance to assume he should sit where the masters should.

Walking through the door to the chambers was a man is armored grey armor that was polished and a dark grey cloak formed a skirt that opened in the front. His helmet was removed and under his arm with the light that normally illuminated his T-Shape visor that meant his HUD was deactivated. He seemed of normal height and features were well shaped with a sharp chin and a dimple that was hidden by a slightly grown in 5 O'Clock shadow just around his chin and lining his jawline. Glimpses of two lightsabers peaked from under his dressing and they were as well, a light polished gray headed by a single ruby that was on the hilt of each blade handle.

His father, Jaster Awaud told him to attend this little meeting of the Remnants of the Jedi Enclave since he was here to assist with the training of another Mandalorain Knight. The Mandalorian Colony that Jaster brought with him to the Republic had some force users in them since the Civil War of their culture forced a crusade against force users and Jaster offered them refuge. As a Master of the path that walked the line of both Light and Dark sides of the force, he was an optimal choice to train those lost in revenge. Now that the Colony was apart of the Republic, it was best their Order join in meetings of the Jedi Enclave since they were the larger groups withing the Republic. He did not particularly mind either Jedi or Sith, and as such almost out right refused to join an order that supported one or the other. His father however, convinced him that this would be a better choice for the safety of his students. As a master and teacher of these young innocent children he broke from his staunch protest to agreeing.

As he walked into the room, he did not conceal his force alignment. He walked towards the table and proceeded to take stand next to a pillar that was closest to the head of the table. From there he nodded his head in acknowledgement of the others that were in the room, though he decided to keep his voice to himself. It was better to be an observer as he was not actually a part of the Enclave, and deciding if his students could prosper under the teaching of those who where here.

It had been a long time since Alyson had dealt with the internal politics of the Jedi. She had done some things to help the Dominion's order get off its feet, but that was a very long time ago. She disliked politics in general, and this was no exception to that, hopefully there would be more discussion on the order itself rather than simply a contest to see who could have the most inflated ego. If she wanted to do that she could have just stayed on Merides and chatted with the nobles.

As they made their way to the room Cedric mentioned that these Jedi were a bit more passive in training. She expected as such, the Dominion was much more of a do or die type of outfit. Everyone was expected to do their part, regardless of skill or training. This group would probably be a bit more careful with their trainees.

"Really? I didn't think it could get any more passive." She said with a tinge of sarcasm.

As they entered the room it became clear it was very clean, very professional. It was not very fancy, just a bunch of chairs seated in a circle, she merely followed Cedric in, taking the seat next to him. She greeted the group with a bow before standing with her hands behind her back at attention. It was interesting that they had allowed knights to attend this meeting, but she understood the neccessity, as the Jedi had been scattered, and just getting this many together was a near miracle. A necessary one at that.

Jedi Council meeting?

Was there a Jedi Council?

She felt like she ought to know the answer to that question but, to be quite honest about it, Kory didn't much care. There should be a Jedi Council, certainly. Who should be on the Council was a different matter.

In her day, the most venerable among them were the members of the Council. Venerable being how they'd referred to those ol' bastards and broads who just hadn't died yet.

When she'd been a much younger Master, Kory had sat on the Council and thought not even twice about it. Earned her stripes. Worked her way to the top. Show some respect!

But now? She didn't much care for it. The Council was a political body, even if it eschewed such a notion. And Jedi politics were a game for the young.

Much like gallivanting around the cosmos, which often went hand-in-hand with Jedi politics.

A game for the young.

As a practical matter, the old healer did wander by where the idea swap was taking place. She was curious to see for herself just who among this next generation of Jedi Knights would turn out to take part in leading the Jedi.
