We Shall Rebuild

"Hmm."

A sigh. Always so very serious.

"Well I'm not abandoning it. Much of my work can be done remotely."

The need for her face to be present was diminishing as Eve's presence and influence around the galaxy grew. People were beginning to understand the goals of the Foundation. It would soon be synonymous with many words associated with bringing hope and help throughout the stars.

"It's not like I'm the one effecting the projects of the Foundation. I'm not Inari anymore, they don't need to see me to believe in what we're doing."

Cameron only managed a brief snort of amusement as he leaned back in his seat. He was merely trying to be logical, understanding. "This is, of course, your prerogative. I was merely asking to be sure of your intentions."

Silence was all the Sith Lord had to offer at the end of that statement. It seemed as though this was a somewhat disturbing trend of their conversations. Even though he could feel the very fabric of Amorella's soul, he sometimes felt as if he was worlds away. "What is it you want, Amorella, and I mean really want?" Cameron had asked this question before though...in a different frame of mind. There were emotions and desires that Amorella had which...Cameron did not share. This, he supposed, stemmed mostly from her having been raised among a family and having most of that family still alive. Cameron had no siblings to speak of, all of his children were grown.

The only real friend he had these days was Amorella's brother and even then, Cameron had tried to keep his distance while [member="Verie Lacroix"] was pregnant. The man had moved to an entirely different planet in the wake of their last conversation some months ago, and he couldn't say that he blamed Dissero. For as much interaction and...involvement as he had with the Shamalain family, he could not help but to continuously feel like an outsider.

A position he occupied mostly out of his own doing and lack of desire to upset whatever very delicate balance existed. In this regard, Amorella was, quite simply, his entire life, his family. "Because it doesn't matter to me. I have no expectations or goals in this life other than to be with the one I love."

A brief pause.

"So...we'll need to hurry this along so that I can get back to her." A thin smirk began to slip across his features at the jest. He was probably the one overthinking things this time anyways.
