Heir to the Throne
She'd looked into his eyes, locked her gaze with his before she had smiled. He was the one, the man who saw through her - through the madness and the animal; and saw the girl spite it all, the witch beyond the growl, the spirit behind the veil. It had always been Aston, no matter what. That was the truth of it, no matter what magic had been cast, what words had been changed.
He would see, he would know.
Perhaps, it had been what Satara had always known - there was always one who saw beyond, above and under; no matter what. Katrine had heard her say the words but she had combined with what Curupira had said and this she had believed it had been a combination of both - fire and ice; calm and storm; explosion and peace... perhaps it sounds have been or perhaps it was never meant to be both at all... Katrine had always been expecting both but perhaps she hadn't seen the truth of it, perhaps all she had needed was the truth; true love beneath it all as she had always seen. Where she had always seen chaos and strength, perhaps there had always been true love beneath the wonder; and where there was a miracle of the truth was love beyond all. Katrine could never see it, not for the longest of time when she expects the life Curupira and Ket felt for so long - chaos, madness, an explosion... but sometimes, true love struck in the midst of it all; pure, divine, right and real... sometimes there was but one love that cam in the midst of it all; not just kind of love that ended worlds but the love that started loves all over again.
Kree and Curupire had scattered forwards as she looked Aston suddenly, a smile spreading across her face as she remember suddenly the moment as she remembered the moment when she had felt whole again after that day; the curse had broken, she had been free, and he had been the one to set her free. She could not forget that, no matter what had happened next.
He'd called it home, Katrine realized as she'd smiled with the softest of smiles; looking back at her one hero then. Aston had been the one who had saved her when she had needed him the most.
And he, Aston, spoke of being so happy for her, everything she had achieved so far even if it was not over yet. Katrine smiled even wider than and reached for his hand. "You're my knight, Aston; you always have been;" her blue gaze stared back at him then, remembering those moments she wondered with whom she could share with if not him, the moments when she had destroyed the bones of the spirits that had once controlled her, eager to destroy everything that she was - she longed for a bringer future for herself, for her kind; for her blinding. There was so much that she longed for, longed for; so much she wanted for them. "Promise me you'll always be there," she said suddenly, as Curupira as Kree furthered closer to the inside of the old castle, her sapphire gaze focused on Aston.... as if he was true, the center of all that she was; her future.
