Weekend* Treasure Hunt 7: Darkest of Paths

Fragment Peth: In well-cloaked shadow, the cyborg bowed to the scarred one, and then captured the great one.
...down but not out he hadn't succeeded on Phelarion which meant that Aethan Tannan had returned to his studies and poured over the manuscripts available to him once against in search of answers to the mystery revealed on the holonet. He'd considered another solution for the first fragment he'd sought to answer however after some careful research he deduced he may have known the answer to a different piece of the puzzle. Aethan wanted to be sure but there was no one way to be certain without traveling to his destination and searching the area for some sign that he was on the track...

...he'd set a course in his Light Freighter and, leaving the astrometric droid to pilot his vessel, had retreated to a small inner sanctum where he could expand his mind and allow it to flow outwards into the river that was the force. All around only silence permeated the area as his mind stretched outwards seeking the truth of his answers but even then he was unable to discern if the path was completely correct. He would sit in the darkness, candlelight his only companion, for hours meditating over what he felt he had learned until he was disturbed by the beeping of the droid through the comms signifying he had arrived...

Location: Endor

...it was not a developed world nor was it one of particular importance. It was a savage world with primitive inhabitants that might yet hold the answers to the secrets he sought. The Light Freighter would have set down in a clearing amongst the vast forests of Endor. Initial scans showed their may have been the ruins of an ancient base nearby which was as good a starting point as any however his investigation had also revealed a number of primitive settlements in the area which could also prove helpful. If Aethan was lucky perhaps he could barter with the natives of this world for information...

...disembarking from the Light Freighter after the landing ramp had lowered Aethan kept his lightsaber clipped to the belt around his waist over his right hip, patting it as he descended, before setting out into the wilderness of Endor. Only time would tell if he'd discovered a meaningful clue to the puzzle he sought to unravel...

Fragment Cresh: Dragged down by an egg while grasping for a whelp.
...the Shuttle descended towards the world slowly while Evincar watched from one of the viewports that provided him with the sight of the abyss as well as the silhouette of the world he was falling towards. Evincar was a large man, broad shouldered, with dark hair and a barely concealed anger in the corners of his eyes. He possessed a hatred for most things he didn't even attempt to hide from those around him. When a trooper approached to tell him that they were beginning their final descent he offered a grunt with the curl of his lip before his attention returned to the viewport. Normally this type of thing would not have aroused his interest but for whatever reason he had decided that the mystery brought to his attention via the holonet was something worthy of his curiosity...

Location: Tatooine

...the fragment that had stood out for Evincar made him think of the Krayt Dragons found on Tatooine though it was possible there may have been something he'd overlooked. Nonetheless he could always retrace his steps later on if his intuition had proved incorrect. On a world such as Tatooine there may have been many mysteries and the answers to go with them though; he might not find what he was looking for but there could always have been something else. Something he had yet to consider...

...the Shuttle would set down and Evincar would turn away from the viewport he'd been allowing his eyes to stretch outwards from. As soon as the landing ramp came down he would have disembarked. The Dark Side was ambient in him as was his anger making it easy to identify him as an individual saturate with hatred, evil and all that sort of thing. Moving down the ramp he would have shielded his face from the bright sun with a hand before his feet settled beneath him in the desert sands and he turned his head. Moving away from the Shuttle he would leave orders for the troopers on board to remain while he investigated the area for any sign he was on the right track...

...was he on the right track?...

Fragment Herf: He faced first contact with great stature and cleaving might, his prize a crystalline art.
...would the third time be the charm? Thus far Aethan had struck out searching for clues to the manuscript he was hunting down but while lamenting his failure to properly decipher the clues he had another epiphany. He saw another clue and thought he may have seen an answer to it however only time would tell. Deciding to meditate on it much the same as he'd done the last time Aethan extended his mind outwards, expanding it within the force seeking the answers he was looking for as though wanting to reassure himself. He went on like this for hours but when his eyes finally snapped wide he'd have come over the comms of his ship..."Set a course for Helska IV."...and within moments he was on his way once again...
Location: Helska IV

...the Light Freighter would have set down on the planets surface carefully, Helska IV was essentially a shell of ice surrounding a vast inner ocean which was a work of crystalline art if any, and when the docking ramp came down he would have disembarked. Dressed in thermal attire Aethan wanted to protect himself against the cold of the planets surface considering he would likely be investigating the area for awhile. If he was successful all the better but if not perhaps the force had lead him here for another reason...

...he was aware there must have been others searching for the clues on different worlds just the same as he was doing however Aethan considered himself fortunate he hadn't run in to anyone else yet. It could be completely possible that this meant he was on the right track or simply that he was oblivious to something and had shuttled himself to different corners of the galaxy for nothing. An Explorer was meant to explore though...

...as his feet came down on the frigid surface of Heskla IV he wondered if his luck had finally changed for the better...

Fragment Vev: Here shackles broke, a thousand voices defied the trespasser in vain, an elder died -- audacity.

Call it whimsy, but Chiasa enjoyed a puzzle now and again. Assuming it was one she took on willingly and not just someone being a smug twit. Probably she should have been engaged in something more likely to be.. lucrative, rather than a puzzle which she may or may not solve for a prize that may or may not really exist, but she was not. Instead she was on Aduba-3, in the village of Onacra.

Her reasoning was simple. The Behemoth from the world below had been here one. Shackled, until an elder of this village called it forth to protect the people of the planet from a rogue gang. It hadn't turned out so well for him. The pieces fit, but in a galaxy as large as this one, probably quite a few places fit.

That was all right, it was still rather fun, for all that Aduba-3 was not her usual sort of planet. She'd had enough of deserts for one lifetime. Time to search the village, the beasts final resting place, the Old Ones final resting place, and the cave the Behemoth had come forth from. Even if this was the wrong world, there might be something of interest there, if it hadn't been completely plundered over the years.

I dunno, if this is still open. It's been awhile. But I choose to assume yes!
