Strengths: Power- The WESTAR Power-pack Attachment is a belt attachment that offers superior levels of energy out in the field. It can provide the same level of energy as 30 power cells can before needing to be recharged. This is further enhanced by the addition of a kinetic recharger that will slowly recharge the attachment as it moves around either in combat or moving towards it. This means that if the pack is completely depleted it can be recharged back to full by the kinetic recharger if it remains in motion for several hours.
Weaknesses: Heavy- The WESTAR Power-pack Attachment is a heavy attachment. Its weight and size causes it to drain the wearer faster. The longer one wearers it while in combat or movement the more draining it becomes for them to use it. This also can cause it to damage or snap belts that it is attached to if they are not secured well enough to hold the weight of the item up.al
Description: The WESTAR Power-pack Attachment is not a complex piece of equipment despite it's looks. It is a large battery that is the same as a standard power cell that can hold the same amount of energy as thirty cells. This battery is covered in a layer of silicar to protect the battery from corrosives, heat, cold, and electricity that could threaten the integrity of the battery that could potentially lead to the inability to hold energy or even an explosion with enough force to blow up a starfighter. The silicar also offers protection to the battery from being harmed by blunt trauma caused by being hit by an item like a hammer or an explosion from the outside. The silicar is then covered in a layer of duraplast to protect the silicar from blaster bolts and slug rounds that tear through it easily. The duraplast also offers further protection to the battery at the core of the item. A kinetic recharger was then added to the design and hooked up to the battery so that it can continually be recharged while in motion. Electronic components were then attached to allow the battery to hook up to and be hook up to other items such as shield generators and turrets.
The WESTAR Power-pack Attachment has only a select few features added to it outside of its main job of being a battery. It has a cable that can reach up to 3 meters away from the power-pack so it can hook up to other things to power them. It has some straps with magnetic locks that can be used to secure the attachment more closely and tightly to one's lower back or legs or even to vehicles such as speeders. The attachment is able to hook around a belt which is also secured via magnetic lock so it does not easily fall off of the belt. The final feature of the attachment is that is able to be colored different to reflect the whims or needs of the wearer. This means it can be given shades that can act as camoflauge. While not a true feature, the attachment is able to rest on the ground and continue to perform its intended job even if not attached to a belt or strap as well.
