What are our site's most useless rules?

To add to what Tefka said about rank titles, we were plagued by people creating a profile, requesting a rank title and then dropping it.

Even if they do 50 posts of spam they are putting in the effort to make it worthwhile.

Limiting it to IC posts would elongate the process unnecessarily.

If and when a better system becomes available we will make use of it.

[member="Jay Scott Clark"] That one baffled me. Here length should really mean "largest dimension", even though cases where the largest dimension isn't the length are the exception rather than the rule. I understand that the upkeep of cruisers is perhaps a little bit much for most individual PCs to maintain IC, so perhaps moving it up to 500m but there's only one case I know about of a character allegedly owning a ship in the 400-500m range. Most PCs usually go in the sub-200m size for ships.

[member="Tefka"] Perhaps excluding water cooler posts from the character's post count, if that's feasible? Might cause other problems, but that might be better.

What about limiting it to one tag change a month, and so you have to have the tags for a month before you can change them again, or put a time requirement on it, where you can't change it on a whim, it has to be once in awhile

that was tried maybe two years ago. 30 days between tag requests and then they used the current 50 posts

I would suggest you read the Star Wars: Legacy comic books which follow Cade Skywalker's story. It's full of Star Wars profanity and Star Wars cuss words, I believe it can help you integrate more into the Star Wars universe.

EDIT: I also agree on the Master training that [member="Jorus Merrill"] and a few other peeps mentioned. My only FU Master was completely self-trained which resulted in a rather very specialized but interesting, in my opinion, character that did not fit the FU 'status quo', if I might say that.

EDIT: - Nevermind. Cira edited the starship section only 10 minutes after this post was made. For the updated info. See today's post.

[member="Yula Knezevic"] - The starship template lists average, (or suggested,) ship sizes. Frigates go up to 500 meters (largest dimension) and Space Stations at listed to start at 600 meters (largest dimension). So, again. Why we have a rule that stops at 400 meters in length? Is cray-cray to me. :p
