im planning a failed invasion device similar to i suppose a Borg cube?
the thing will be a eons old ship that would strip a planets resources and build droids.
but ultimately fails. and later gets reprogrammed in to a standard droid factory.

those were kind of a inspiration but i think i got the inspiration from ABC warriors.
this isn't a WMD it was more insidious.
