This is stuck in my head on repeat.. I've seen a LOT of overdoses this season, and it's my first Holiday Season working 911 (I was a transport/Transfer EMT the last one). I'm apt to be stupidly busy this evening with more. I've worked with this band at a concert, I know their guys. And somehow... This is just... It caught my attention shortly before thanksgiving, and i've been listening to it a lot. I've had friends die from pill and drug addictions. I've pulled screaming children off their parents, watched a grown man try to crawl away from police while in between bouts of having a seizure, because he knew he took stuff he shouldn't have, and was going to be arrested when he came down from it... And somehow? This song encapsulates it so perfectly.

Ya'll be safe out there tonight. And please, for the love of Mike.... If you drink to celebrate, don't drive... I don't want my brothers and sisters, or myself, to have to come for you tonight. I'd much rather us all get a pink sleep tomorrow because there isn't anymore need for us.
