Lights and Sirens: The Education of a Paramedic

Yes, I know... I appear to you folks as if I eat, sleep, and breathe 911.. And in a way I do... But this is an excellent read... Even for the lay person who is just curious what exactly kind of shaping process we as medic go through to be the ones who show up when you stub your toe, wreck your car, or do something stupid. It's not an exaggeration to say it is a lot like med school, just compressed into a single year.

For non work related things, I am slowly failing to read Culture of the Teutons by Groenbech... It's just so dry I keep getting distracted. And i'm rereading a few blacksmithing books on pattern-welding (damascus) steel, namely The Pattern Welded Blade: Artistry in Iron by Jim Hrisoulas..
