What goes bump in the night....

This caused her to stop what she was doing for a minute. As she thought long and hard to the fact of should she be saying anything about her force ability. Not knowing if he was one of those force haters that was whisper about in some of the jedi circles. Even those she never been off planet but many of her friends had been chosen to go off world on mission of all kind. Even so she let herself look at him.

Yes, I can use the force a little ...but I'm nothing like my mother well ..I ...hope to be as strong as she is...

As she let herself go back to her own work as if it came natural, even those she was by nature shy with all her nose in book or research all the time. As she got through with what she could do. Looking at him now, as if something just went off in her some fear some curiosity. You, not worried, I can feel more then see your look on your face, I promise I mean but good..

They way he was looking at her only caused her to look away quickly as if she had done something wrong or at less said something that he wasn't sure of. So what she did best she asked a question, call it small talk or ... You have a lovely ship, what kind is it..not that how I pick out your ship..it was main just me..knowing some how.. i that force thing ..I guess..

Marcus listened intently as she explained her origins and the powers of her mother. He did not detest force-users, but was rather curious of them. The stories he had heard from his father had all reflected relatively poorly on the Jedi and their teachings as they had always found ways to clash with the Mandalorian people. The stories of the ancient times when the Mandalorians and the Jedi fought nearly constantly in an odd struggle for power in the galaxy had burned themselves into his brain, yet in his advanced youth he came to realize that everything was not so black and white. He seemed to fall back into a more relaxed state as she continued her work, and when she spoke yet again he was brought back to this uncertain reality of a stowaway having some sort of control over his form.

"No... You shouldn't be here... Not on this ship."

He pushed her hands away gently but sternly and stepped back once more into the threshold of the doorway. His pain was gone, but he still doubted the girl. His father had always told him to be weary of strangers, not to mention stowaways... He kept a noticeably firm grip on the handle of his blaster now, and scolded himself internally for being so foolish as to fall victim to comforts brought on from a possible thief. He looked her over coldly, and sat down in one of the chairs yet again to clear his mind when she asked her next, rather misplaced, question.

"...A ZX Freighter... My father's ship."

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

Quickly going over her own words knowing now that she shouldn't have say that about his feeling. This causing her to break with his own eyes. Shifting her dark eyes around the room, finding them coming back upon [member="Marcus Lok"] . AS she took a more defense stance again only to follow by him finding a chair. Following his own cue she found a chair not so far where his present. Sitting down as she took her own form of watchfulness.

As if the saying that this was his father ships, couldn't help but have some emotion stir up inside of her once again about her own father. Did she wished that he had left her something that could be proud about, as she could feel in him. After which time she tried to push this emotion down for the part she needed to be fully focus.

First things, I told of my father name, but not my name, if you care to know it, its Freyia.

Taking in a very deep breath, as she looked him over once again. As she herself wonder more that what her father could have taught her. Even those she wasn't with out a great teach that her mother had done what she could to pass along her own culture, the hunting the survival into unknown forest.

I bet your father was a great teacher in all your up bring.

[member="Marcus Lok"]

Marcus watched as her stance changed intently. It was to be expected, she could have supposed that he meant to attack her. It was just as well that his hand simply kept a constant rest on the blaster's handle instead of being pulled from its holster. He had little intention of using it, and if she kept her calm he would keep his. The predicament in his mind remained that this girl would be on the ship until he had completed his transport job and was on the return trip to Mandalore. Would she not try to steal his ship in the meantime? She was liable to do so, though she did not seem like the kind that would steal.

At the mention of her name, he eased up a bit. At least she had given him a sense of her character rather than simply remaining silent...

"Well, it would be nice to meet you on different circumstances, Freyia... My name is Marcus."

He gave his name a bit reluctantly, though it was the custom so he may as well. At the mention of his father being a mentor, Marcus' face lightened up a bit and he gave a quick smile. The memories had begun earlier, but now they swam throughout his head like fish in the sea.

"My father was a good teacher... He could make things make sense, you know?"

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

Leaving the feeling that he didn't give his name very easy. Wondering how this was going to go the rest of the trip. Knowing that with out a doubt that in the back of this one mind would be that fear that she was up to something. Even now she could tell by his chosen words. Finding herself only to give a way a smile after his name was out if that really was his real name. Then why should she doubt that it would be nothing but the real name.

I was taught by my mother, but for stories about my father, my mother she was my teacher, as long with others teachers ..I had to learn to share with my mothers and her duties to the order..

Pausing for some reason as he looked to him before she wondering now what to do or ask. So my mother taught me about herbs and nature, maybe a little bit with healing, what did your father teach you...

[member="Marcus Lok"]

The order... A Jedi...

The thought that she might be part of the order had occurred to him, though he had just considered her to be a force user, and perhaps that was the end of it. Once she mentioned the order in any sense of the word he grew a bit more curious. A force user could travel the galaxy relatively regularly with no qualms of stowing away aboard a ship, but a Jedi? Now that was simply odd. He had long thought the Jedi to remain close to their temples and only leave on the orders of the superiors or in the intent of completing some sort of mission, though this one seemed to be quite independent...

"They must trust you a lot to let you wander the stars with strangers."

He flashed her a quick smile before looking down at his hands for the duration of the ensuing silence. Perhaps they did not know? Perhaps she had left the order on her own accord and not with the permission of... Their elders? Indeed, he knew very little.

"My father taught me how to be a Mandalorian... Carry yourself with honor, how to fight, how to hit a moving target at one hundred yards... That sort of thing."

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

Maybe she had said to much given to much of herself away. It was well known as her mother had said on a number of times that there was those out that didn't like force user, much less the jedi of the galaxy. Even so she wouldn't let this thought scare her after all to show fear was one thing she just couldn't show it. Then came the reality cheek had her own wanting to know about her father culture be so strong that she would do this foolish act.

y..

Stopping herself as she could tell that he wanted to speak about his father, there it was out in the open to the fact that his father was a mandalorian, that in turn made him one also. This only got her own eyes to looked him up and down, he wasn't wearing armor, she seen her father old armor in her mother room. This puzzled her greatly something she would ask about but later first maybe she needed to answer some of his question.

about the order and I'm a big girl...

Now her eyes and attention was all on him, as she spoke of things his father taught him, would if her father had been around would she had been taught the same way.

Is this all mandalorian father teach there children both female and males ..well what I me..is how to say this ..do you I..I mean your culture treat one sex better or different then other ...

[member="Marcus Lok"]

Marcus gave her a confused look as she seemed to be a bit shocked. Was it something he had said? He knew that a lot of the galaxy did not feel too fondly of the Mandalorians, but it was not as though he had attempted to offend her. Thinking on it, he was foolish to assume that she would have anyway of knowing that he was, in fact, from that culture and part of the Galaxy. The only direct distinction between a Mandalorian and any other man was the use of the symbolic beskar'gam which was worn both traditionally and practically. Often times, however, Marcus was glad to be free of the plates of armor. It was not that the suit was not comfortable, more so that it was more comfortable to simply wear normal clothing.

He smiled as she stated that the order thought that she was a "Big Girl". It was very comical to think that the order would have lost one of its own so frivolously. The only thing that still gave him some curiosity was the likes of what order she was actually in. Through the current state of galactic affairs, he understood there were many. Though these questions would be put aside as she began edging into questions about the culture of Mandalore.

"Well, from what I have seen, no. Girl's go through the same training... I can't speak for the upbringing much, I didn't have a sister."

It was not a question that he had asked to the girls at the enclave very often. From what he understood, they grew up very similarly to himself and the topic had simply never come up.

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

This brought a smile to her face, only to think back of her words and what his face was like before speaking those words, did she say something or was it something he asked before. Knowing that she could be so spacey at time she couldn't help but think hard on all that he had said. Then it hit her like a hutt dropping on her head. Order, wondering if she was a jedi or what. This clearly seeing that he was a be curious.

I"m glad that girls aren't treated differently, no I wish my father was around, you see he disappeared many years ago, before I was born I think I was still in my mother tummy back on Voss. My mother I love her so much and respect what she does for the Silvers but she was very protective when it came to me more so then my brothers. I want to learn about my father mandalorian culture what its like is it any different then the way I was raised as a jedi, you said you father took you out to shoot, my mother took me out to hunt in the forest with nothing but my hands and a sharp AKK knife that could go through duro-steel if need.

She stopped herself did she say to much to him, after all he was looking at her. Could feel something going on inside his head, did she say to much that they didn't know that she had taken off the way she did. Or even that she was gone, it wasn't the first time she had thought of taking off like she had but this was the first time she had followed through with it.

All said and done she just wanted to learn she wasn't to far from home. Knowing that maybe the hopping a board a strangers ship wasn't the brightest plan but it was after all something that seem like a good idea at the time.

[member="Marcus Lok"]

He nodded as she talked about the history of her mother and her father. So she was of the Silver Sanctum. He had heard very little about them, other than the fact that they seemed to be the more dominant faction of Jedi in the galaxy at the moment. The cultural differences between them and those that were still part of the Republic were beyond him, and he hardly cared. All he knew was that they probably would not care much for his taking of a daughter of their order.

"I went hunting with my father as well. Bows aren't really part of it though. A lot more of the training is for the dispatching of... More intelligent game?"

He, of course, was referring to any faction that may oppose Mandalorians or their cause. He continued to delve into his mind and remember the vast amount of stories that his father had told him about the many wars he had been a part of. Countless battles had been retold in the small home which they had resided in during his childhood. He could almost recount each one in his head...

"Well... You've come this far. I assume you want to go to Mandalore..?"

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

Darkness of her eyes looked at him with curiosity as to what he met by the statement more intelligent games. To this her own mind was working more on the fact that she wanted to know about these games that they seem to like to train with, could this be what made their culture what it was to the galaxy the way they past things down from father to son, or in that word, to parent to child. Maybe there was more she didn't know what this being what it was on this trip maybe she would find out more of the mandlorian.

Now her lips even if it was a very little and a bit shy when she spoke once again, after all she could feel that he wasn't going to hurt her or take advantage, then she could be wrong as she wouldn't know how to judge one. It was just a feeling that she was getting from him, then came something else.

Yes, I like that very much...just that I would like to know what ..I'm getting myself into are the others mandalorian as like you are, easy to talk .. well I met to say..

Looking down at her hands maybe she spoke something she shouldn't have.

[member="Marcus Lok"]

Marcus listened to this and gave a slight smirk. She was kind, and innocent. Definitely not the type of person that should be travelling the stars on their own, yet he took up a sense of curiosity in her voice. She wanted to learn, that was for sure, but it was no secret the Jedi and his own people had... A difficult background. It would certainly not hinder her case to keep the information of her powers to herself. On the actual planet, she would obviously be seen as an outsider, unless of course she could locate her father...

"Thanks... Not all of them are so open to stowaways. I am sure you could learn your way around... But why do you want to learn more about them? Well, us... Has the order left you wanting some real action?"

Another smile. He could not imagine what her answer would be, as she seemed to glaze over the topic of her ability rather easily, not like some of the other force users he had seen. Some were truly adamant about their service to the galaxy as Jedi, and some may have even believed themselves at a higher... Class than the rest.

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

Maybe she was the foolish to before thinking of hopping on ship to make it to the planet of her father Mandalore itself. What had she gotten herself into So much of her being able to get the answer she was seeking of her father. Like that of slap in the face had she turn her back on her order her mother. Knowing she was a seeker of knowledge wasn't she this was a way to do such things.

There there was the slap in the face to be had, she gotten herself way over her head with this quest of her, to find her father, the one that left with out a trace many years ago when she wasn't even born but seed in her mother belly. Taking time to think the way he looked at her, did he see as weak. Maybe he thought of her as more of a foolish girl.

About that maybe I didn't think when I jump on board, it seem like a good idea at the time, more like I was going against my mother orders.

There it was was she a bad daughter for going against her mother wishes, or did she know more about her father people then she cared to let on about. Either way it was to late to back down now, she gone this far. I might have not told anyone, beside my mother is off world on some where with the Silver Cross fleet aiding with medical and supplies. I maybe it was the thought wanting to see whats out there away from Voss, I like to research after all one can only learn so much from books ..I guess I'm foolish to think one little girl like me could track down a father I never seen before.

[member="Marcus Lok"]

Marcus listened as she explained her predicament with his own thoughts of confusion. The truth had come out that she had, in fact, not received permission for this action whatsoever, and she was off on her own like some sort of young adventurer eager to see a new land. It was not quite surprising that she had grown bored on the planet of Voss, one could grow bored on any planet after a while, and the allure of travelling through hyperspace made new opportunities quite available for anyone interested in finding them.

"It was adventurous, I'll give you that."

Moreover, he considered what she would do once they arrived at Mandalore. She would certainly be fine so long as she could find this long lost father of hers. Hopefully, she would not find him dead in the gutter after drinking away the last of his credits. It was the fate of so many men that found themselves searching for a better life among the stars, yet leaving behind something that they had a deep responsibility to protect and hold together.

"So long as you know his name... You may be able to find him on Mandalore."

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

Way he worded his last workings. As if to look at him deeper just what was he getting at maybe she didn't think this through. How could she had, after all wasn't it out of her own comfort zone that she had done this all. After all she was just the very shy little book worm that spent most of her time at the library, as one of the many helpers.

This causing her to bit on her bottom lip or at less let herself play with it between her teeth. So long as she knew his name will that much she did know his name, it was the may it wasn't then telling her that she had a high chance of finding him it was just a may be able to. As that only cause her to really think of what if game in her head. That was when she forced herself to stop playing with her bottom lip long enough to ask her next question.

What if I can't find him?

Didn't come right out in words but it was in her eyes as if to see them tell would she be in danger if she didn't or even have trouble on the planet itself. Wanting to make it up in her mind that they got off worlders all the time. Even ones that looked like her and acted like her so shy and naive as she may be, right?

Will there be trouble for ...well someone like me...

[member="Marcus Lok"]

Marcus shrugged at the question. Mandalore was by no means a very discriminatory system providing you did not do anything to annoy its controllers. The cities on the planet were much like any other, save for the fact that many more people walked around in large hulking suits of armor while they strolled about. Offworlders were largely ignored so long as they didn't cause any scenes or reasons to be noticed. He hardly believed she would have much trouble, so long as she did not go about sneaking aboard strange ships...

"About as much trouble as you might get on say... Corellia? As long as you keep your head down and your eyes open, you should be fine."

The statement was true enough, and there was not much to be added to it. It was at this time that he really began to wonder how much she had even learned about Mandalore before she had gotten it into her head that she wanted to travel there. Perhaps the order had touched on it very lightly in their teachings, but even this seemed to be a bit far fetched considering she seemed to be the more studious type. Nevertheless, he was sure that she would find her way.

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

It was the way her eyes looked at him when he spoke of Corellia, as she let herself give out another curiosity glance. Before she was spoke again, couldn't there be another way then the only way that she was going to learn was ask question. Even so she couldn't but smile at him, as sweet as she was at this time. She ready up on some Corellia history from long ago. There was the question that came upon herself was that why this planet did he spoke of then any others out there. Did it have meaning to him, more so had this one been there before.

In this all she knew there was only one way to put these question to rest. "Corellia have you been there before, or does it hold something special to you."

[member="Marcus Lok"]

Marcus, in fact, did not know why he had specified Corellia. He did not hold any special attatchments to that world, save for the fact that it was one of his favored relaxation destinations, and he hardly could think of any reason why she would think it would. It was, after all, a very popular destination among spacers. The world held rolling mountains as well as vast star ports, and helped one to escape if needed. Yes... Corellia was a very good world indeed, though no where near as special as Mandalore was to him. Mandalore was his homeworld, and he had grown up running across the soft green grasses of his homestead much like many of his kind, and his father had taken care to instill their people's set of values in him.

He glazed over these thoughts for a few moments, before looking back up and realizing he had been simply day dreaming to himself. Attempting to recover some look of seriousness, he stood and adjusted his jacket.

"No... It's just similar. Now, about your getting off my ship?"

He certainly had no intention of going back to the port at which she had boarded, and from his datapad, he had silently already engaged a new course for their heading.

Mandalore

[member="Freyia Whitelight-Carrick"]

The neturality of his face told her a lot about this man. Even so she listen to what he had to say. Only to see that he had spaced off for a time only to find himself once again to speak once more about her getting off. Even so she herself had to let her own mind take off. As of the begining she thought this to be a good idea of getting away from Voss, to find out what her father culture was like. Even in her mind to find her own father to bring him back to their family.

Yes, about getting off your ship? Would you like me to help in your dealing or is it going to be a while that I need to help out some what like part of your crew. well I mean to say you don't got a crew you look like a more of lone wolf then to work with a partner for any reason, its okay I understand no hard feelings if the new stop you want me to get off your ship, after all it was foolish on my part to just hop aboard on a stranger ship.

Would she be fooling herself if she didn't think to herself that part of herself was intrigue about the young man that was before her eyes. Then she would be a fool if she would say she wasn't.

[member="Marcus Lok"]

He had little intention of bringing this stowaway anywhere near his transaction for the simple fact that he was known to be a bit of a lone wolf. If his employer saw him with another 'Crewmember' they would be liable to expect that something was suspiciously wrong and might even tell him to fly off. Granted this was more of a legal transportation job, he didn't want to risk having his reputation tarnished by being a man who brought on new people as they were available...

"Best I don't. He might get a bit suspicious. This Hutt is a bit particular in the way he likes things done."

And he was. For the time that he had known Bogga he had known the slimy dealer to be a bit peculiar in the way he handled his transactions.

At any rate, their course was no longer on track with his mission, but rather with his new cargo. They would be arriving at Mandalore in mere moments, as it was not that far off the beaten trail.

"I've already laid in a course for Mandalore. I will set you down there and if you find it not to your liking... I would hire a ship back instead."
