The Jedi Temple of Coruscant
Valery Noble
This thread is set 12 months prior.
Balun, a young Jedi apprentice, found himself summoned to an audience with Master Noble, a figure revered for her extensive experience and wisdom within the New Jedi Order. Seated at the pinnacle of the Jedi Council, she bore witness to the tumultuous ebb and flow of the galaxy's fortunes for countless years. Despite spending fifteen years within the Temple, Balun had never crossed paths with Master Noble—a common occurrence given the vast number of students and the select few who comprised the esteemed Jedi Council.
Ascending the towering heights of the Jedi Tower, Balun marvelled at the breathtaking vista that greeted him from the Council Chambers. Coruscant sprawled beneath him, its towering spires reaching towards the heavens, a testament to the bustling heart of the Core Worlds and the epicentre of galactic civilization. As the turbolift carried him ever closer to his destination, Balun could only hope that his meeting with Master Noble would afford him the opportunity for a private and intimate conversation.
With each passing moment, Balun felt the weight of his uncertainty pressing down upon him. He longed to unburden himself, to share his doubts about the path laid out before him by the Jedi Order. His heart yearned for adventure beyond the confines of the Temple walls, to forge his own destiny free from the constant guidance and supervision of his elders. In the quiet recesses of his mind, he yearned to break free and embrace the boundless possibilities awaiting him beyond.
As the turbo lift completed its ascent, its doors gracefully parted, releasing Balun into the softly illuminated corridor that encircled the central chamber. A Temple Guard, clad in the resplendent robes of their station, met his gaze with a silent acknowledgment before beckoning him forward with a subtle wave of his hand. No words were spoken, but the solemn gesture conveyed all the assurance Balun needed. These guardians, renowned for their unwavering vigilance over the Temple's sanctity, stood as living embodiments of the Jedi Council's authority.
Obeying the unspoken directive, Balun approached the imposing entrance to the Council Chambers, his heart thrumming with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation. With each step, he ventured further into the heart of the Jedi enclave, his thoughts swirling with uncertainty about the encounter awaiting him beyond the chamber's threshold.
