What types of characters are lacking?

As the lull between having to post for my two characters increases, sometimes I think about making a new character so I have more to do. That made me think - what kinds of characters are rarely found on here? I know we have a lot of Force-users, Jedi, Dark, and Sith, and we have a lot of outlaws and mercs. What do you guys think is a character type/job/whatever that is overlooked? I might want to fill it.

Scientists.
Hey I have an alt that is a doctor but I accidentally picked up too many women for Condor so I'll never get around to him :p It's the thought that counts right?

Also more silly characters is good. Like genetically engineered superwampas ewoks!
does that work for you [member="Valiens Nantaris"]? :p

I agree with the lack of aliens, scientists and medics. I RPed a medic for awhile, and because they aren't prevalent, I never lacked for threads. With the amount of fighting done on the board, a medic, especially one who specializes in cybernetics is in demand.

Also more mechanics, pilots, salvagers and business types would be nice.

I also agree on the aliens recommendation. Chaos has an overwhelming emphasis on human characters.

Also a character that isn't force sensitive. The split there isn't particularly even either.

Medics, scientists, researchers, engineers.

Pilots, soldiers.

More droids with strange quirks.

None of that "does this unit have a soul" bull, either. Animated, happy, and possibly drunk, droids that lie, cheat and steal like other people.

The closest thing I can think of in canon is probably I-5YQ.

Everyone's saying aliens. To specify, we need more non-humanoid aliens. We've got plenty of aliens that look either identical or extremely similar to (attractive and usually caucasian) humans, but very few truly bizarre ones. I'd like to see more legitimately inhuman characters.

Don't let Val fool you. We have a boatload of Twi'leks, most of them either blue or red (the two allegedly rarest colors).

For vocations, I'd say boring jobs tend to be underutilized because...well, they're boring. I'm sure there's someone out there who wants to read about an intergalactically-acclaimed chef or a barkeep on a small world, but in general they're rare because people don't find writing them to be interesting enough to keep going. We crave action, whether that be political or military or technobabble or whatever. Someone who can cut a fruit into seven perfect pieces before it hits the plate is amusing, they'd have trouble finding a partner.

Poro

Poro want a Poro Snack!
*Squeak!*

(Roughly translates to: "Am I special and unique? Give me a snack if you think so. I am a hungry ropo!")
