What's Aeten You? (Archangel)

[member="Maelion Liates"]

Enyo was seemingly in freefall towards the pit, then Maelion gripped her tight and raised her from perdition! Well, it was not that melodramatic, but close enough. She could see the HRD tumbling down alongside her, then the two other droids gripped them both and pulled them up.

Enyo was hauled to safety and lay there on the floor, trembling strongly. She let out the breath she'd been holding. She was less than a year old and until today had never left the confines of the space station she'd been born on, though the latter fact was not known to her. Ergo she was not used to vividly experiencing life or death situations, in contrast to her counterpart.

However, Maelion had successfully acquired +30 approval points! "Yeah...I think I am," she said quietly, then abruptly pulled Maelion into a hug. The poor droid had to endure organic emotions, but at least Enyo wasn't hitting on her. "Thanks so much, Mae."

Maelion patted Enyo softly on the back. She knew how to deal with this.
“It’s alright,” she said softly. “You did well.”

Electronically she ordered the droids to take the crystals to the shuttle as she tried to steer Enyo in the direction of the ship….

Sometimes being an HRD was arduous. Like when you had to deal with organics getting emotional. Regardless, Maelion had won a lots of approval points. "Thanks," Enyo said brightly, having apparently recovered from her shock. "So we're gonna go home and party now? Ok...you guys don't party." Partying was inefficient and would be abolished by the Age of Steel. "Thanks for taking me along."

There would be no partying once the Age of Steel had begun. It was frivolous and inefficient. However, these clones were valuable assets. Some humouring of them could be done.

“I’ll see what I can do for you. Let’s go home.”

And so they departed, crystals intact.

The Age of Steel would bring productivity, thrift and discipline to the Galaxy. Every single being would be a cog inside a well-oiled machine that never paused. However, for the time being compromise was necessary. The time would come when Archangel would be able to dispense with the charade.

Assuming, of course, its own creations became too willful and strong for it to control. "Ok. I so got to tell Phae," Enyo said cheerfully. It seemed she had successfully overcome her earlier shock. And so off they went and soon the shuttle had docked on the Lightbringer, which then jumped to hyperspace and left Aeten behind it. Little Enyo had taken a small step into a larger world!
