I'm typically an ISTJ, but every once and a while I also get ISFJ.

If anyone is interested in using the MBTi for writing, or just likes pop culture in general, you may want to check out the MBTi in Fiction tumblr. It's attempt to use the MBTi to profile various famous characters.

But for actually writing characters based on what may be considered more of a soft science, I find the enneagram system to be a little bit more useful.

When I took the test in college, I got INTJ.
This test gave me INTP, but I took it rather quickly, so I'm not sure if that's so accurate.

I might go through it for a character or two. These are quite fun to mess around with.
