Wheels in Motion

The young knight had been requested to assist in finding a wayward missing daughter. Seo Linn had followed a lead that had led her to Aarognar. Though it had started on another planet entirely. That lead on Aarognar had brought in the involvement of somebody from the Silvers, even if it had been on accident.

Since one other person was already involved in a way, she decided to request the help of another. Giving out as little information as needed, Seo posted a request for help and now waited to hear back from somebody. Her message on the board indicated she would be found in the Rest and in the Common's area there.

Wearing desert tone clothing, there was gold embroidery at each of the hems and around her neck. It was the only decoration she had and it suited her well since her eyes were gold. On one finger she had a single ring with a yellow-gold stone on the band.

Deciding it would take a bit of time for somebody to notice and respond to her message, she was sitting and eating. Nothing too great, but something to keep her mind occupied while she waited.

Reggie saw the request board, noting how there was little information on the task but was just enough for him to take notice of it. In the young Padawan's mind, there was someone asking for help and he shouldn't waste any time in responding to the message. A fellow Jedi was asking for help and Reggie wasn't the type to turn something like this down.

The young Padawan took a few minutes to prepare himself with what he saw as the necessity's when a task was given to him, which wasn't really much. He was a simple person, which showed in his attire and openness with people. The young man wore brown clothing, and had a brown headband on that covered some of his black hair. Simple stuff really, the only thing that would really draw notice being his lightsaber clipped onto his belt.
As soon as he was ready, he headed over to the rest to meet his ally.

When he arrived in the common area, he saw a women who he assumed was the one who requested help. What caught his eye was, well, her gold eyes! He had never met someone with eyes like those before, which just reminded him that there was a lot he hasn't seen yet in the galaxy. Reggie walked up to the women to introduce himself, hoping this was the right person.

"Hello there!"

The young Padawan didn't want to interrupt her too much since she was eating.

She had been raised to be observant of those around her and how to read people. So almost as soon as Reggie entered the Common's area, Seo was aware of him. Not letting out any tells until he walked up to her, she stood up, nodded and invited him to take a seat with her.

"Hello, I am Seo Linn."

Sitting back down, she silently offered him some of her food as well if he wanted any.

"You saw the notice and request I put out?"

Some people might think Seo was anti-social, but that wasn't entirely the case. She was the kind of person to pick her words carefully and say almost nothing more than what was needed to get a message across. Her tone was not at all rude, short tempered so he would be able to tell she was not upset by what some would think of as an intrusion to her lunch. However, she did not smile exactly, but indicated she was friendly.

"My name is Reggie Faayare. A pleasure to meet you!"

Reggie respectively said no to the offer for food, smiling in thanks while making a gesture with his hands. The young Padawan had eaten awhile before, so he was fine for the moment.

"I did see the notice and I am here to offer my services, if you'll allow me of course."

Assuming that the Knight might not be as chatty as he was, Reggie made sure not to pester her with too many questions as he had the custom doing with people he first meets. He never does it on purpose, it was just part of his personality. The Padawan returned the knights friendliness with his usual smile and easygoing demeanor though. He was looking forward to working with the Knight, hoping to gain more experience, assist in the task efficiently, and learn more about Seo Linn.

Looking closer at Reggie, she noticed he would only be a few years older than her oldest son. It almost made her curious as to how the life of Reggie differed from that of her son. She had the feeling the teen would be hungry soon, but barely nodded when he declined her offer of some of her food.

"Thank you for answering. How good are you at solving mysteries, following leads or trails of clues, Reggie Faayare."

When Seo spoke, she pronounced his exactly as he had. It was a small clue to some of what she could do.

"Here's the situation..."

She went on to explain the bare details of what was going on in her search for Mereel's missing little sister. Bringing Reggie up to the present and the last trail she had to follow. It would lead them to a place called The Wheel.

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

Reggie nodded as she thanked him, the Padawan just being grateful that he can help his fellow Jedi whenever he can.

"No problem! Anything to help my allies."

When asked if he was good at a few specific skills, the young Padawan put a hand on his chin, taking a few seconds to think. Reggie was a person who made sure to ask questions and look at all the clues given to obtain information, seeing it as vital in a majority of tasks. He was a strategist and a Jedi who thought about how a situation can be handled, or how everything fits together in this case.

"I would say i'm decent at solving mysteries and following leads. I should definitely be able to handle such things."

After responding to the Knights question, Reggie realized that she pronounced his full name. The Padawan wasn't used to people saying his last name, so it threw him off a bit. He pushed the thought away when Seo started to explain the situation, making sure to take in what was being said.

When he was caught up with the situation, Reggie nodded his head. The Padawan didn't ask for any specific details about the situation, believing that what he was told was more than enough for the moment. This was a dire situation to him now and wanted to get started.

"Hmm. So the trail leads to some place called the wheel? Well, lets see what we can find there."

Reggie got up from the seat, his original easygoing demeanor changed to being focused and determined. After a few seconds, he realized that he was being a bit hasty, especially since the Padawan couldn't offer to fly there since he didn't own a ship, nor could he pilot one. He started to scratch the back of his head, a bit embarrassed.

"I mean, whenever you're ready that is."

Even with this little blunder, one thing was clear: Reggie would do whatever he could to find Mereel's sister.

In the brief conversation they had, Seo realized something about Reggie. When she had been his age, she had joined the Jedi. Not as a padawan though really as she had already been trained by the Dominion Jedi and Sith. While she had decided on being a Jedi, her life before them was something known by only a few people. Not regretting any of the choices she had made in her life, there were some she questioned at times though.

Listening to Reggie's answer, she nodded.

"Paying attention to details is very important and remembering them."

That comment really hit home with her. When she had followed a lead that took her to Aargonar had brought about a small memory loss of that time. Falling to a club to the back of the head, she had since recovered, but for a time it was all a blur in her mind. Trying not to let onto her thoughts, she could tell he was ready to go.

"Do you know anything about The Wheel? Let me finish eating. We can research it on the way there since I have little knowledge of the place myself."

There were a few options on how to get there, but she was reluctant to bring her personal ship this time. When she finished eating, she stood up and would start walking in the direction of where she knew the various ships were that Silver Jedi could use for missions. On her back was a bag large enough to hold her belongings. It showed she was a wanderer and not one to stay in one place for very long.

"Do you need to pack up anything before leaving?"

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

Reggie did know a small amount about the Wheel, but not enough for it to really be significant. The Padawan never looked into the place, the only reason he knew about it coming from others who were interested in trying their luck at the casino's.

"I only know a little about the place. It's known for the casinos there I believe, but that's all I know though. I never really thought I would need to add it to part of my research. I will see if I have any other information on it though."

As he said this, he reached into his bag and pulled out a small datapad. Reggie was hoping that he had more information stored about the Wheel, knowing that it wasn't uncommon for him to save information even though he didn't plan on researching them in his free time. Never know when such information can come in handy.

"Uh, no i'm good. I made sure to take what was believed to be needed before coming here."

[member="Seo Linn"]

What they both knew of the Wheel was very limited and Seo nodded.

"We can research it on the way there. First though, do you think we should take that ship or that one?"

Pointing at the two different ships, she knew which one she would pick, but left the choice up to Reggie.

On noticing he also carried a bag with him, she thought he was a wanderer like her. It made her want to take him under her wing and try to guide him. Much like she wanted to do with her son. This mission would be a chance for him to learn some things and most likely she would as well.

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

When asked what ship he thought they should take, the Padawan froze for a bit. His knowledge of ships wasn't really great and he was poor at flying them as well. Reggie has tried to make a little effort in changing that however, doing some research on the ships that the SJO use. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough to know what ships were good at what.

Taking a quick look at the ships, Reggie thought of which one he would personally prefer. Eventually, he pointed at the Light Corvette, knowing that it was a good ship that could transport them to their destination comfortably. At least, that's what he remembered.

"I would say the Light Corvette. I don't have the most knowledge with ships, but I know this one would serve its purpose!"

He was hoping that his choice was a good one. There was one thing to research something, but another to research something and put the information to good use.

[member="Seo Linn"]

"Good choice and I agree."

Filling out the paperwork that was needed to get the ship for the mission, once that was done, Seo opened it for them to board.

"I think a walk around would be best, then figure where each of us are sleeping."

Having the feeling both of them were people that only needed a simple place to sleep, Seo did not expect to want a large cabin for herself. Where Reggie slept was up to him and she started to get familiar with the ship.

Knowing it could be piloted by droids, once they were settled in, she would request them to lift off.

"Let's take a look and see what we can learn about The Wheel."

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

Once Reggie and Seo were aboard the ship, he took a look around like suggested. The ship was good, at least from his perspective. He may not know much about ships but did know when a ship was good. Figuring out where they were thinking was another thing Reggie made sure to think of. The young man wasn't worried about who got the more comfortable room, so he would take the smaller sleeping area on the ship.

"I can take one of the smaller rooms on the ship. I only need a place to lay my head at night."

When research about the wheel was talked about again, Reggie reached in his back to retrieve his datapad again.

"Sounds good. As I said before, the place is known for its Casino's. It's top two being the Crimson Casino and the Grand Casino."

Scrolling down on the pad a bit, Reggie noticed something else that caught his attention. He was a little surprised by it, one eyebrow being raised in suspicion.

"It also says here that there is a gladiator arena for visitors to watch fighters battle one another. Seems like obtaining people's money is the main goal here. Not surprising since it's known for its casino's."

He started to mumble when he said those last two things, his mind going off track a little. He soon refocused and kept searching for information that could be helpful to them.

[member="Seo Linn"]

She knew a little about ships since she was wanderer. Rarely did she spend more than a night or two in any one place. Though that part of her was slowly changing and Seo spent more and more time with Mereel on his ship. It was large enough to carry hers and there had been many times she stayed there instead of on her ship, wandering around and alone.

The two of them had been through so much together, at this point, she couldn't imagine not being with him. Life happened though and they were separated at the moment. He was following another lead and she had learned of this one after he was gone. Knowing the last time she had gone to follow a lead alone had brought about her almost dying, she wasn't going to go on this one on her own.

Finding a room for herself, after setting her bag down, she joined Reggie in the commons area to look over the information together.

"Well, I don't know much about his sister. I know she's younger than him and her name is Brieda and that is about it. Some leads here and there, but nothing enough to actually get a capture of her. So she might be trying to play herself off as a fighter or even a high roller in the casinos. My last lead, she was working in a lab, but escaped being found by me."

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

With the new information presented to him, the strategist thought about the possibilities. With what he knows about Brieda however, the conclusion he came to might not be accurate. Right now, he was going off of the fact that Brieda was working in a lab the last time Seo had a lead on her.

"Hmm. From what you do know about her, does Brieda seem like a fighter to you? I would think she would be able to pull off being a high roller more than fighting in an deadly arena. I don't know much about her either however. She could very well be an magnificent fighter, and it's not like the casino's don't have their own dangers."

One way or another, Brieda must have been a resourceful woman.

"Also, is Brieda running away from something or is she being moved against her will?"

Reggie had many questions about the situation now. He wouldn't pry for any information that might not have been given to him before, but thought that it could help him in the long run.

[member="Seo Linn"]

"From what I know. She is not a fighter. So more likely if she was free to move around on her own, she would be trying to fit as a high roller."

Reggie then asked if Brieda was running away or being moved against her will. If the information Seo had learned at the lab was accurate, then she had an answer to give. Taking out her own datapad, she took a few notes down and added it to the collection she already had from her previous investigations. These notes went back as far as when Mereel's father held her captive for a time and told them of his desire to have his daughter found.

"I think she is being moved, but it started with her running away. Here are my notes from all my investigations."

Handing him the datapad, she gave him the time needed to take a read at it. With a small motion in its direction, she looked at her partner for this mission.

"Anything else we are going to have to piece together ourselves when we get there."

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

Reggie looked over the notes that Seo had, taking in all the information that she had gathered in her investigations. They were easy to follow, containing an abundant amount of information to help with the investigation. The Padawan wasn't surprised but was still impressed non-the-less, which was shown in his expression while going over the notes. Reggie wouldn't have been able to create well put together notes like these, which he assumed was from Seo's experience in this field of work.

Reggie looked up from the datapad when the Knight spoke again. Seo was right about finding out the rest themselves. The information she had gathered was great, but there were still things that needed to be figured out.

"Lets see what we can find out at the Wheel then. Casino's sound like fun."

The Padawan joked a bit, preparing himself to enter the Casino's.

[member="Seo Linn"]

Giving Reggie a small smile, she nodded.

"Yes, they can be great fun, but they can also be a great downfall. Just need to avoid the temptations they bring."

The information gathered on the pad was in order of when she learned it. Along with locations and leads. It was all very logical, at least to Seo. However, it should also be clear to anybody else that read the notes.

"What do you say we get some sleep and we should be there some time tomorrow afternoon. The Wheel really very far from here thankfully."

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

Shaking his head slowly, the Padawan laughed a bit.

"I don't think i'll have any problem with that. The temptation they bring and what they can do to people is what bothers me about them."

Reggie got up from where he was sitting and was getting ready to head to where he was going to sleep.

"Sounds like a plan to me."

When the Padawan arrived at his temporary room, he decided to lay down and get some rest. He was in the habit of getting a small amount of rest, so he decided to get some sleep now.

[member="Seo Linn"]

Taking the datapad back from Reggie, she put it back into the bag she always carried with her. Looking up to make it clear to him she was listening to what he had to say, Seo gave him a slight nod.

"See you at breakfast."

Picking up the bag, she went to the room she had picked out for herself and set it down on the floor next to the bed. Kicking off her shoes and taking off her outer layer of clothing, she climbed into bed. Closing her eyes, her mind cleared within a few moments and she was asleep. Like a clock, she woke up when it would have been morning. In the dark of space there was no day or night, but her body knew what time it was.

Once awake, she put her clothes back on and went to galley to make breakfast for the two of them. She assumed the smell of the food would wake Reggie and they could make any further plans when he joined her.

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

When Reggie woke up, he could smell something that surprised him a bit. Breakfast. Reggie wasn't one to jump out of bed to go eat, but the fact that someone had cooked something on one of their advenures was new. This was mostly due to the fact that he didn't go out to places as much as he wanted to, and when he did there usually wasn't enough time to cook anything. For all he knows though, the wonderful aroma of food might not be for him at all.

The Padawan decided to get up and go check for himself, seeing it as respectful to at least say good morning to Seo. After getting dressed and stretching out a bit, the young man walked to the galley and saw the Knight making breakfast.

"Morning. Sleep well?"

Reggie's hair that reached to his ears was a bit of a mess, something that he quickly fixed before washing his hands and sitting at a table. Even though the aroma from the food Seo was cooking poked at his growing hunger, Reggie was ready to talk about any other plans.
